That someone was two men, a woman, and one chainsaw. One of the men spent the next 30 minutes trying to start the saw. One of the men never got out of the truck. To our disbelief, that man commenced trying to cut a 40-foot queen palm down with the women standing in the line of fall. We yelled at him to stop. We called the company representative. The two men and the woman left. The company representative rescheduled the work for today 7.11.2026. No one showed up. So we called the company. The representative on the phone said they had an equipment problem, and if we were in a hurry, perhaps we should consult another company. You'd best have a lot of time and liability insurance on hand to deal with Optimum Tree Care. This company is anything but "optimum". Richard S.

They successfully downed a huge tree and plenty of palms on my property. I have a couple regrets…read morethough: - They didn't get the suckers (tiny branches on limbs) on my trees. - They cut down limbs on top of my roof with nothing protecting the roof underneath. Chainsaw-to-limb-to-shingles. They bent an exhaust pipe on my roof. As far as I know, they didn't cut into the roof, but they didn't take precautions. - They tore up my yard with their skid steer and crushed irrigation pipes. It was healthy before and now it's a mud pit. Fine, grass can come back, but prepare yourself for a messed up yard. - The stumps were left tall with jagged breaks, so if you have kids, it will be dangerous for them. There were straight-up wooden swords on the stumps. When I called to ask them to come back out to help me out with some of the things above, they ghosted me. For the amount of money I paid (more than $5k) I expect safety and professionalism. Look, they're good at their job (downing trees), but if you want good service, you might check elsewhere first.

I had an Aborist determine the cost of the damage and it was starting at a minimum of $30,000. I have sent a demand notice to them for Compensation and they rejected the certified letter. They claim to have insurance but have not filed a claim. They have been avoiding us. So at some point now we will have to take legal action to collect for damages. We are retired, and rely on the fruit trees we have on our property. We sell the fruit (organic avg. $2.50 ea.) This helps pay taxes and other expenses. If I was looking for a tree service, I would read my complaint a couple times before you hire anyone. Take this all in for consideration.
