    Statue I had to have.
    Karen F.

Fun, unusual place, great for picking up statues or iron works for your home or garden. I went not knowing what to expect, and really enjoyed wandering around the large property. Be forewarned - you probably will get mosquito bites due to all the lush greenery and water on the property. It is almost like a large garden, with nooks and crannies everywhere filled with plants, statues, and iron pieces. They apparently sell custom made iron works and iron fences. I did think it was a bit odd that any statue which held a plant was not for sale, though. Random animals were everywhere, with a couple of peacocks roaming free, a couple of cats, and cages holding exotic birds, a pig, a rooster, rabbits, etc. Plenty of dirt lot parking, the owner was friendly, and I absolutely love the Chinese dragon I bought for my home.

Metal and Nature "Fiddlehead" gate custom made for our home - we love it!

Arley and Vicky at Metals and Nature created a beautiful custom sized gate for our home based on their "fiddlehead" design. It turned out fantastic, and we are thrilled with the results. It was such a joy for us finding artisans who hand craft beautiful high quality ironwork. Arley walked us through the installation and supplied all of the hardware we needed to complete the job. Visit their property and delight in their creations. It's a great experience, even if you don't have an immediate requirement. When you see what they create, you'll figure out a place around your house that would become extraordinary with a Metals and Nature creation! Jim D., Punta Gorda, FL

First time came here today, it was open, walk around look at art and nature!! I recommend this place if you are in the area.!!

Yes, this is a real peacock. Such a gorgeous creature!

This garden is absolutely beautiful! It's not too far from the Berry Barn on State Rd 60. You can't miss it. There are large signs about their wrought iron gates and statues that will lead you in. Yes, 2 acres of iron artwork and sculpted statues. It's a butterfly garden with beautiful birds. They even have a talking pig that comes up to you as soon as you approach his home. A very vocal pig! I literally was mesmerized by all of this. We were greeted by a talking parrot. I believe her name is Annie (or so I've read). She says "Hi" to you as you walk up to her cage. Such a sweetie! A nice woman who I believe was the owner told us to ring the huge bell out front if we needed her for anything. Apparently they are used to people coming to visit just to get inspired. The entire garden is full of strategically placed sculptures, iron work, fountains, and many outdoor accessories (benches, tables, mail boxes, and so on). It's a place of business but also a botanical garden. As you walk along the paths towards the back of the garden you will also see a very large caged area sitting near a pond. There are some larger peacocks, a rooster, and another type of bird contained inside of it. You'll also see a few peacocks roaming through the garden. It was actually quite funny because I had initially seen them from afar at the other end of the garden. I didn't see them anymore as we got near to that part of the garden. I started to ask my mother where they all went, and that's when I noticed that the peacock was right in front of us (about 4 feet away). My mother didn't see it immediately until I told her where it was. It was as still as a statue. It just happened to turn around and look at us. Then, I saw his buddy in the garden behind him looking for insects in the bushes. There was also a white peacock that looked like a little princess. What a cool experience! I can't wait to go back. I'd like to get a few things for my garden one day soon. It was such a peaceful place. A place that anyone would enjoy. They are not open on Monday and Tuesday so plan accordingly. I suggest that you go this time of year (December or January) when it's cool. I'm sure that it's even more beautiful in the spring and summer. But there is water nearby, and with water there are mosquitoes. We thankfully didn't see or feel any mosquitoes today.

I've been passing this enticing "free" 2 acre garden full of plants, pots, peaceful pathways, statues and beautifully designed cast ironworks for years (all of which are for sale). Today the gate was open so I drove in. Discovered it was actually closed, so I did a slow turn around and enjoyed the view slowly on the way out (open Thurs-Sun). I'm sure my next visit will involve pulling out my charge card, based on my brief view of art, talent & serenity. I lucked into seeing the beautiful white peacock! As a disabled person, I was sorry not to see paved pathways that would enable me to see what everyone else can, without the struggle. (But I also realize that changes the definition of "natural.") Their website does not show all their wares nor any prices-limiting their online sales, surely. They do have a nice FB page. They have lots of collector's categories-headpots, fantasy, coastal, frogs, lizards, butterflies, etc. Their gate craftwork is exquisite. They quoted me a very reasonable price for a cast iron exterior railing once, but I did not follow through with the purchase. Not only is this a peaceful place, it's a fun place and provides a unique craftsmanship service.

Met my brother and sister-in-law here the other day. What a fun place! It is essentially a show garden for all the artists work. It costs nothing to view the art and almost all of it is for sale. I walked away with a nice lamb statue for my garden but walking the grounds was so much fun. I really enjoyed the animals, from roosters, to guinea pigs, a parrot, an exotic white peacock and Boinky, the Pig! Definitely a great place to stop, especially if you are on your way to get some great Plant City strawberries.

Pretty cool place. Lots of neat and unique art. And the peacocks on property are cool to see watch out for them as you drive in and pull out. Definitely a place to visit if you are looking for yard decor.

A hidden gem. My friends and I went here this morning. This place is beautiful and so peaceful. It's like a slice of heaven on earth. The flowers and trees were beautiful and the stones and metal work were truly breathtaking. This is an amazing place to go with kids, friends, or a fun date night. We also saw several adorable cats, a pig, and stunning peacocks. I highly recommend this truly secret garden as one of my favorite gems on Tampa Bay.

You know when you have that one person you're buying a gift for, and you're wracking your brain on…read morewhat to get them because they already have everything? You know when you have a particular spot in your own home that needs a highly specialized and unique piece to pull your interior design together? Well, if you are looking for one-of-a-kind pieces for a gift for someone special, or even yourself, you'll be sure to find a multitude of things to choose from at this quaint, upscale furniture and home decor shop. I went to Shaunessy's amazing store during the holidays to find a unique, one-of-a-kind piece for my Mom's Christmas gift. During my 'raising kids' years, Mom and I used to spend countless hours in these types of shops. On weekends, we also would go to Estate Sales to find collectibles for our homes. I knew she would love anything from here. This shop is a place where you will find unique items that eventually will be collectibles in the future, or even now, because many of them already are antiques. One of the things I saw here that was of particular interest, because of its unusual nature, was made by a local woodworker. He crafts fruit holder centerpieces, made out of old oak wine barrels and old whiskey barrels. Use your imagination for the usage on a dining room table, buffet/sideboard top, and even just on the kitchen counter. This craftsman fashions the bent wood into lovely, long, curving and graceful centerpieces that hold and display items inside the indentations he makes in the strip of wood. There were many different styles, some holding 6 or 7 single lemons, spaced about an inch apart, which gave the piece a pop of color. There also were others with 6 votive candles placed in a row. A really unique gift that looks spectacular on the dining table. Speaking of custom pieces, Shaunessy's makes many of them, including 'farm' and other types of tables in different shapes and sizes, and those ever-so-popular custom-made barn doors, which interior designers are now decorating with, for everything from pantry doors to closet doors and beyond. There are two floors of goodies in the main converted farmhouse building (complete with treasure-filled porch), plus two outside "Pish Posh" buildings, which hold lots of outdoor-use treasures, such as galvanized flower buckets. You'll find a lot of beautiful old and newer antiques. Be sure to use your 10% off Yelp check-in offer! Customer service is super helpful and friendly. These people love what they do and it shows in everything from the products and items they have, down to helping you find something truly inspiring! *****FIVE FABULOUS STARS!!!!!*****
