Pros
From my initial impression, the owners, Rick and DeAnna, seem like genuinely good people who have built a company with a clear sense of purpose. The mission behind the work makes it easy to feel that what you're doing has meaning, and that was one of the most positive aspects of my experience.
Cons
Unfortunately, my experience with management did not reflect that same positive culture. In my opinion, leadership across multiple levels would benefit from significant improvement in communication, accountability, and employee relations.
I found that asking questions--even when they were sincere and intended to clarify expectations--often felt discouraged. There was a perception that raising concerns or seeking clarification could negatively affect how employees were viewed or documented. This created an environment where many people felt it was safer to remain silent than to communicate openly.
In my years of working across multiple organizations, this was the first workplace where I felt that keeping your head down and avoiding unnecessary attention was the safest approach. The culture often felt overly cautious, with employees hesitant to speak openly because they feared even minor issues could be reported or used against them.
Advice to Job Seekers
If you decide to work here, it may be a good opportunity to gain experience, develop new skills, and use it as a stepping stone toward your longer-term career goals. However, if you're looking for an organization with a culture that strongly encourages open communication, psychological safety, and collaborative leadership, I would encourage you to carefully evaluate whether it aligns with what you're seeking in a long-term employer.
