They put holes in my roof and it collapsed. They told me that would cost $900 to repair all the holes they made. This caused water to leak on my kitchen and bathroom floor.The trees in street made it hard for traffic to past. I had to call another tree company to fix the problem. Great Lakes Tree quote me $1000 and told me it would not more than that. They came a few days later telling me the price was changed to $2000. When I went to the bank, I found out the company charged my credit card $2500 . They refused to return any of my calls. I would not recommend them to anyone. I am working with the bank to get my money back. They do not complete their work.

One of my favorite parts of our backyard is the crimson king maple tree. When we first moved in, we noticed that the tree looked like it had been sealed with some black tar and we worried about its health. We called West Michigan Tree Services to come take a look at it, and they gave us some advice and a care plan. They treated the tree and injected some fertilizer into the roots. They did some other work to it as well in order to give it the best possible outcome. I'd hate to lose this tree, so I'm willing to invest some money into its care. Each spring I receive a tree care contract via email that includes the cost of service for that year and what will be done. If you pre-pay before a certain date, you get a 10% discount, and the work is done that spring. We've been doing this for the past few years, and our tree is looking great! I'm so thankful for the certified arborists and staff for helping us care for our tree. They also provide tree removal and stump grinding, pruning, and land and lot clearing services.

Charged 13k to remove a half a tree that had fallen on my garage. Spoke with Tim at the office and he cannot even send me an invoice until the end of day. Run do not use these people. Also to note: They came the day after they said they would be there, they did not call I had to reach out. I gave a pass on this as there was a major storm, but not very professional to not call. I had to call the office 6 times before they answered this morning. Charged for clean up, however there are still 3 large pieces of tree in my yard. They're was some type of manager (Lansing lesson) there because their Lansing crews had been "caught doing stuff they shouldn't" Do not use this company Edit / Follow up: After reaching out and waiting they did send me an invoice for just over 8500 for the same job, never did receive an invoice for the 13 thousand that they sent to my insurance company. This still seems excessive to me and I did reach out and they were unwilling to lower it any more. They charge for a full 8 hour day no matter how long they are actually on the job, which they state is standard practice, however none of the other three tree companies I called do this. I never received a response to my email questioning this, however, Rebecca was able to email me within minutes when I asked where to send the check. The contact that they make you sign leaves absolutely no protection for you the customer, they can do what ever they want and there is no recourse, including not honoring any estimate given. If you don't pay within 30 days they will charge you interest. This is a predatory company and they are very good at seeming like they are their to help until you get the invoice, then they will not help at all.

Due to a lot of rain, it did take a few weeks for them to get around to taking down our tree. They did a great job and left our yard very clean. I would definitely work with them again.
