I was excited to go check out a new option and made a trip out to this elderly mall specifically to visit Scrub City. There is also another shop in Millwoods Town Centre. Sadly I found the scrubs were very expensive for what I would consider to be average to below average quality. I went comparison shopping right after just so y'all don't think I'm hating on a small family shop for no reason. The minimum cost for scrubs, just a bottom or a top, was $55. Featured items were $65 per piece. Most of these were NOT any recognizable name brand like White Cross or Dickies, they were obviously mass imports of generic items. In contrast, one can purchase Helly Hansen brand scrubs at Mark's for $60 per piece. Those scrubs are indestructible. In my recent experience, decent scrubs cost about $40 a piece, with many stores offering deals like buy so many pieces, get one free, or a certain percent off multiple sets. No such offers at Scrub City. Many of the items are a shiny polyester mix, kind of a silky material, which does not breathe well. Consider also, if you are doing physical labour like manually moving people, you don't necessarily want your clothes to be slippery. Many items were also poorly finished, with loose strings hanging, back pockets sewn way too high up the backside, quality issues big time. The selection looks big but really it's mostly lots of the same thing in different colours. Almost all the pants have cuffs, which sucks if you need things hemmed. There were next to no patterned tops, mostly just some Christmas-themed stragglers, and incredibly most of the sizes on the shelf were XS, XL and XXL. Maybe stock supply issues? I'll never know because the very young woman at the till kept her eyes on her phone while I was in the store. TLDR: too expensive for dubious quality, pass

They were a bit low on camo pants which was what I was actually looking for, so I'll check back another day. They have lots of amo boxes, backpacks, canteens, sleeping bags, camouflage netting and even a few parachutes! We did see some guns as well, but that definitely didn't appear to be their main focus. There's a good selection of new and used items and everything seemed to be reasonably priced.

We got married in a whirlwind, and I was at his location looking around a week or two before the wedding. His prompt service, combined with his integrity made sure that I wasn't worried about my tux. I was so thankful for having a great tux with such short notice that I offered him a $100 tip. Terry would have none of it. His website says "We act with honour and integrity in all our dealings."
