Independent ENT are not there when you need them. It's impossible to talk to a real person. All calls are recorded and they will call you back within 24 hours. When you have an ear ache 24 hours is a long time. Once you finally talk to the gal who makes your appointment. She could care less if you are not well & in pain. She gives you the next opening - take it or leave it. Because of her and not being able to talk to anyone I will never go back to Nunez. If you want immediate care call South Florida ENT Associates. they saw me a few days after an er visit. The only one I could make an immediate appointment with. I gI've them credit for doing so. unfortunately they were out of network and my copay was twice what it normally is. I saw the dr himself on first visit-put on steroids and antibiotics and then turned over to HIS PA, (and I continued paying for a dr.)without knowing exactly what was being dealt with and 5 visits later, while different ear drops were used, a CT scan being performed- 4 months later-I still had problems. They weren't getting to the root of the problem and we're not treating me correctly. I had to change the doctor only to find out (after he took cultures and send in to lab)- when I was made aware of the real problem. I found out that I was being treated incorrectly and placed on the wrong meds.( confirmed by lab results) If you need to go there-insist on seeing the dr, himself. don't rely soley on a PA. insist on seeing only the Doctor especially since you're paying for one read more

My first time here I needed to come in early for paperwork but I came in even earlier since I was done with my hair appointment in Stuart. The paperwork which was 3 pages took me less than ten minutes.. some questions I've never been asked like what's my religion.. yikes.. u don't need to answer all questions. Be sure to bring drivers license and insurance cards and what prescriptions you take. The lady who answered the phone for my appointment couldn't have been more pleasant!! She was at front desk the next day again smiling absolutely a joy to deal with..I have her name possibly Lori.. don't know where I put the card! Ok so I was early 1015 for 1130 appointment but sometimes u get in early? The waiting room was packed!! Well I was the last to be called at 1215 or so approximately. Sweet guy takes me to a room tells me my Dr is running behind so I'm getting someone else. I said I only want a Dr I'm new here establishing my new Drs. He told me I'd have a Dr and he's terrific.. I'm ok! If I wanted to wait it would be at least a half hour for Dr Nenez he's backed up. Actually I was the only one there and the other last person had just gotten done with him so my guess is lunch! Ok meet my Dr.. he was lovely fixed me up.. I had a cotton ball stuck in my ear. Lesson learned I'll be asking for him. Both Drs I gather are terrific but there were folks coming in after me I don't think had appointments? Couldn't tell they didn't speak English and were paying cash so if you don't have insurance no problem I think it was 125 or 150$ worth it. I'd recommend this office.. read more

Went in for bloody nose. Nurse Reyes put some I believe was silver nitrate in my nose to seal the source of the bleeding. She kept the swab is so long the chemical ran down my throat and burned it. That was on a Friday I suffered all weekend with swelling to the left side of my face and burning in my throat. Monday I felt a little better and decided never to back there again read more

I've been Nurse Reyes' patient for a little over a year, and have visited the clinic 3-4 times regarding the same issue and each time, NP Reyes comes in, inserts the scope down my nose, tells me everything is fine and that I have acid reflux which she states is the root cause of my problem. I've explained to Nurse Reyes each visit that my problem is one that I've had for 20+ years. I've only been diagnosed with acid reflux 6 years ago so this can't be the reason why 1 tonsil is inflamed and sore, throat is scratchy, nose is congested and post nasal drip is present, lost of voice and having a chronic productive cough. I literally only suffer from this during the fall/winter months and she keeps blaming it on acid reflux!!! It is frustrating how quickly I am seen only to be told that I'm fine when I'm clearly not and I'm losing my voice and coughing like crazy. This recent visit was much like every other visit, I was in and out, but this time when she inserted the scope down my nose, it was the most uncomfortable/painful endoscopy that I've ever experienced. Usually, when performing that procedure, the provider would put enough numbing solution in my sinuses to where I could actually feel it running down my throat. This time was different. I do not think she took the time to give me the appropriate amount of numbing medication to insure that process would be a comfortable one, as it usually is. It is now 4:03am the next day and I'm still awake because I'm coughing and MY NOSE HURTS!!! She ordered me an allergy test only because I ASKED, otherwise she would have just sent me home with the same acid reflux diagnosis. I've asked her in the past for cough syrup which I KNOW will temporarily eliminate my cough and make it to where I can sleep through the night as that is when I do most of the coughing. I will have to endure another week or so of sleepless nights and I have to fly out to go back to work. I've explained to Nurse Reyes that when I travel for work, I am working 12 hour shifts, 7 days a week, for 2-4 weeks straight and my sleep will be important to me. She suggested that I go to urgent care to get the cough syrup that I am requesting. Why should I have to go to an urgent care facility when SHE is my provider? Do urgent care facilities even prescribe medication with narcotics in them? Plainly put, Nurse Reyes is a lazy and inattentive medical practitioner. I don't feel heard at all. And I don't feel helped. They don't even hand out After Visit Summaries and I'm curious as to how she writes her notes. I am really upset about this. read more
