They spend a lot of money setting the system up in your house and it will cost them a lot to have it removed if you change your mind. Any company that installs and monitors a security system will have a three-year contract. Otherwise, they wouldn't stay in business. The three-year contract was explained to me over the phone and clearly stated in the contract that I signed.

I'm writing a Fleenor review in an effort, perhaps, to save other people similar problems. I have had a worrisome and dissatisfying experience with Fleenor Security in Knoxville. They installed a system that malfunctioned continuously. They sent technicians out multiple times to fix, but never could figure out the problem. They finally conceded I might have a lemon and put in a whole new 'box.' It malfunctioned multiple times within a week. I told them I was done and just to cancel the agreement. The manager I spoke with agreed to cancel the monitoring fee for the year. But the monitoring fee was a small part of my expense. I told him, via email, that I agreed about the refund on the monitoring fee, but thought that as a show of good faith they should offer some sort of compensation for the bad equipment they sold me. I just got an email from said manager that the monitoring fee check was in the mail, but there was no mention of even a partial refund for bad equipment Aside from all the trouble this system has been, I feel financially cheated. UPDATE: When the owner saw this review on Yelp, he called me. He said he had not known anything about my case until reading my review. He was apologetic, offered to put in another type of system entirely or extend a partial refund on the faulty system installed. I am appreciative of his efforts.
