I shop here often and am generally pleased with the wide aisles and huge variety of items available. I especially like the vast number of organic products (legumes and spices). Today, for the first time, I used the bathroom and WAS NOT HAPPY to find NO SOAP AT ALL in either the mens or ladies restrooms. DISGUSTING! There were no toilet seat covers, no hooks on the back of the door for a woman to hang her purse and no paper towels. If the health department found all these things, there would be some serious violations to contend with. I hope they read this review and take care of these serious issues ASAP. read more

The newest and biggest Indian grocery store I have been to around here. The aisles are wider, they have lots of varieties and are well maintained than most other stores. Freezer section is huge! I usually find everything I don't find in other stores. The best part is the fresh squeezed sugarcane juice and the fresh rotis that are made right in front of you. They plan to make other breads like theplas, parathas and rotis in the near future. IMH had me at unsweetened instant chai mix and frozen individual servings of tamarind and mint chutney. Besides all of the excellent frozen convenience foods, this is the place to go if you are cooking (attempting in my case as a non-Indian person) from scratch. IHM had everything I needed to make dosas (though I can guarantee the dosas made on site are better than mine) and semolina noodles with veg and lentils. Spices, Indian yogurt (I didn't know there was a difference, but my mango lassi knows now), and lots of delightful treats in this spacious supermarket. This is definitely the best Indian Food market I have been to in the area, but if there is better I would love to know about it! read more

I am someone who has a rare but potentially deadly food intolerance - to sulfites. Sometimes, finding Indian ingredients without sulfites can be a frustrating task. However, at Hypermarket? I was able to get jaggery, ginger-garlic paste, and pickle; none of which contained sulfites! I am glad that the store has such a wide selection, and also takes care to carry products that have less preservatives in them. I also picked up some fresh whole wheat rotis to go; they tasted incredible with some Indian takeout that I got that same night. The location is also prime for those of us who travel by bus; being on a major route is a big deal when it comes to convenience. We recently bought clay diyas from this shop. We usually soak them in water and air-dry them before using as otherwise it would absorb all the oil if we use it as-is. After soaking and removing from the water, we found some of the diyas were broken. We felt the other unbroken diyas and they felt very soft and it would crumble upon touching. We called the store to launch a complaint and wanted to ask if they will exchange for another product or do a refund. An employee picked up the call and she was impolite. Then we asked for her manager. He wouldn't take our complaint and mentioned that they don't have a refund policy or exchange policy. When we told them that we can't use them (we bought 48 of them for Diwali), he said he can't help with that and also mentioned that he didn't receive any complaints from other customers. He was impolite and was not willing to take the complaint and take it up with the supplier. It is very problematic with these kind of stores and relying on them to provide quality products without any issues for the customer. I strongly recommend to buy non-perishable items from Amazon or get them shipped from India through your friend or relatives. In fact, to avoid such issues, I'm thinking we should form our own local community supply chain where people in a community or their network can pool together and buy products from India directly through Garuda Vega or other carriers for their needs. read more

I've been waiting for this store to open for awhile. Located in busy intersection obliquely opposite Crossroads mall it has ample parking since it shares the compound with Bartell's pharmacy. I was impressed with the layout of the store with lots of aisle space and the largest frozen section in any Indian grocery around the area. Lots of Organic products and variety with comparable prices. The roti machine making fresh chappatis was unique. The veggies were not that fresh. Puja section was not very extensive and the deyas for Divali was limited and small size but I got the four sided one I wanted. They also prepare freshly made roti and thepla...I purchased some today for the first time and noted that it feels like they missed adding any salt...I asked the guy to taste and he said that I was right and they put very less salt. I can understand them catering to folks who want low sodium but wish they had an option where you could buy these with regular salt amt...im still going to go here but won't be getting any thepla's in the future. read more

Store is ok but whole group of Hispanic employees who clean and "organize" the shelves are rude af. They talk to each other and say nasty things about the customer as they assume people don't understand what they are saying. I an Hispanic and I understood everything they were saying as I was just walking by with my shopping cart. They were talking about my body parts and how much I like to be pushed on the back. Really?? Then is not even closing time and they are mopping the floor as they expect you to leave and don't look around the aisles anymore. This is for the owners, I am pretty sure you can hire a decent group of employees who aren't talking trash about the customers. QFC has it but they sell it for $10 and I finally found it here for $7.29.They also had fresh rotis that are super soft and delicious. The store was also very clean and organized. They have a wide variety of Indian groceries, snacks, fresh produce, household items, gifts, etc. Selection is huge, prices are reasonable, store is clean, plenty of parking. In addition, they make fresh rotis in the store using a big roti-making machine. These rotis are reasonably priced ($2.99 for a pack of 6), and taste reasonably good. On Tuesday, September 28th, 2021, I purchased from this grocery store 5 (five) dry coconuts. Then, I brought them home, within hours of purchasing, and opened them up, one by one. Out of 5 (five) dry coconuts, 4 (four) turned out to be completely rotten inside, molded and smelled real bad. On Thursday, September 30th, 2021, I brought these rotten coconuts back to this grocery store - along with my original receipt. However, the cashiers I spoke to flatly refused to either exchange these rotten coconuts or issue a full refund. I requested them to talk to their manager. The called their manager, but, based on their verbal statement, the latter refused to help us either. These cashiers were extremely rude. The treated me like I was a newborn, saying things like I "should have been careful selecting coconuts" and "should have kept them refrigerated". The total cost they owe me is: 4 x $2.49 = $9.96. It was the worst shopping experience ever. I have just filed a complaint against them with the Better Business Bureau and, tomorrow, I am going to report them to the local authorities for selling unsafe food items. read more

They are very bad at returns. We wanted to return ice creams we bought 2 days ago. The boxes were unopened and sealed and we showed the Reilly. They refused to take it back! Also, another time we bought a snack which tasted bitter and was spoilt. Again they refused taking it back saying it was opened. Obviously till we opened it we did not know it was bad! Though I am disappointed after multiple visits to the store as I have found very stale snacks (with no expiry date on package), bugs in the packed grocery items like peanuts etc. Few things about the store are good like automatic roti machine, location but I won't go there again for sure. read more

Hey all, I really really like this place. Anytime I'm In the area I make sure to do my grocery shopping here. Man, it is so state of the art and it is a dream Indian store for shopping lovers. They keep a very good stock of food, getting fresh deliveries daily. Very good fresh selection of dhal. My one gripe is that the checkout lines are very long. I can understand that it is busy and all but there should not be such a backlog of shoppers. As I am a working mom of two I don't have much time to stand in line and wait. There have been multiple occasions in which I have been late to pick up my children from either their karate or Kumon because of the line. I have one more compliment, when I went to the small restaurant near the front, I was really excited because I thought it would be like a good old fashioned dahba back home. It didn't disappoint, I got fresh mango lassi and Samosa. Lastly I really enjoy their selection of Bollywood movies that they play on tv at least I have something to entertain me while in line. The store itself is great but the long checkout line made me not give it full stars. read more
