    Prime rib sando

Review is for their cooked and prepared foods section. I absolutely love their prime rib sandwich! I get it weekly and make sure they don't forget the au jus. Seasonally, their lobster rolls and egg sandwiches are definitely worth trying!

We love the Metropolitan Market. They carry a great collection of fresh fruits and veggies, their baked goods are great, have a good hot bar, and fresh sushi. I love their collection of cheeses too. They are open late and have friendly service.

This is a review specifically for their prime rib sandwich. You. must. get. it. If you love prime rib like I do, you'll be satisfied. The quality isn't superb but it's decent for a posh grocery store like metropolitan market. If you ask the carver nicely, they'll give you the pieces that you want (more or less fatty, end pieces etc). I ask for extra horseradish on the side and they give it to me for free. The dip is a little too salty for me so I use it very sparingly just to moisten the French bread. Also, it's a crime to let the prime rib sit and dry out so once you order eat it right away!!! Highly recommend!

    Medium soup. Crackers.

So I went to my favorite soup spot to buy some soup and crackers, come to find out that the crackers aren't free the whole time. I've been shopping there NOBODY has told me that they weren't free. I would've gladly bought them but they don't put a price next to them, so I assumed they were free like every other store I get soup from. But I'm just so sad and made me feel so guilty. The guy at the self checkout so rude, he made me feel fat and guilty

    Self checkout

Visited Metropolitan Market for the first time and noticed it had two separate entrances, but only one had working checkout stands. The other entrance had a register area that was blocked off. It left me wondering if it'll be opened in the future. Inside, the store had a wide variety of selections, including fresh seafood and a hot food section with a self-serve buffet bar. The layout was clean and inviting, and there were employees available throughout the store, which made the experience smoother. Parking, however, was a bit chaotic. The plaza was packed due to several nearby businesses, and the busy intersection didn't help. Despite the parking situation, the store itself was impressive and worth the stop. JY review

    Little poké bowl for $10.
    Smaly K.

I came here a few time to grab some lunch during my work lunch break in the afternoon, and they seem to always be running low on their hot table items. On my last visit, I decided to get from the poké bar, and it's a bit pricey; it was $10 for my small container. I got the poké shrimp, and when I sat at my desk to eat it, I couldn't enjoy it. The shrimp was still frozen. I was pretty disappointed with my lunch and probably won't care to get from the poké bar again. I guess I'll stick to their "The Cookie."

Have been stopping by this location more recently on the way home from work to pick up a few things. While I have only walked to the store, they do have free parking in the building garage. The store is on the smaller side compared to other Eastside PCC locations. Store interior feels a bit sterile and usually quiet when I shop here. Not a bad thing if you like shopping in a less crowded store. And I will say the store interior is an improvement from the old store which looked dated. It is not my favorite PCC to shop at, but I will continue to frequent it when I am nearby and looking to pick up some groceries.

Bathrooms are dirty and it's pretty sticky floors. There is also workers smoking on the side of Safeway outside right by the Handicap, no issue with smoking, but they are ALWAYS lingering around where customers are walking to the car. There is also homeless people always out front where you enter 124th street. Other than that, the selection is great, there is a Starbucks in the store as well, and the produce is fresh. I know this place is for the fish, but there's a bare minimum expectation on rice quality. And the fish itself was good? Maybe cuz it's the poke and not the omakase (so mixed chopped pieces) but there were pieces that tasted super fresh and delicious and then there were pieces that had so much tendon I couldn't bite through it. Amongst the sweets, the Polish Wawel Mieszanka Krakowska chocolate covered jelly candy is a welcome treat. I enjoy wafer treats, so the Roshen wafers from Ukranine is my choice. I haven't had much luck with their produce; I skip them. (FYI: The business uses the Yelp photos to post the latest produce that has arrived, which is perfectly legitimate. But because they don't delete the previous photos, the Yelp photos suggest they may have a bigger produce section than they actually have at a given time. I was confused the first time I stepped in.) The shop is located in a strip mall with plentiful parking. The space is older, which I honestly don't care as long as it is clean. I don't require much service since I only need to pay and go. Today, 06/26, I went down the drinks aisle and there were various vendors and/or employees (hereafter "vendors") putting away merchandise. Most were to one side so as to not block traffic. One idiot had a cart on one side of the aisle and then merchandise directly next to it on the floor thus completely blocking traffic. When I approached, it appeared to me that he was quickly picking up the merchandise on the floor so he could move the cart and thus allow traffic to flow. Oh, what a fool was I to believe he was removing his traffic block. He looked up to me and said something like, "Oh, I didn't see you there. YOU should have said something." Examine the situation. 1) He did not apologize for creating the block to begin with. 2) And of course, he failed to prevent a block to begin with. 3) He says he didn't see me. Let me try that when I get in a traffic accident. Would my failure to see be a defense? Or the reason for the accident? 4) He then blames me. The whole issue is apparently because I didn't say something. Apparently, the burden was on me to tell him not to block traffic to begin with. And you know why he blocked traffic to begin with? Because he can. Because no manager at the store manages. And you know for how much longer he will do it? Until the day he is fired. He is not customer oriented; he is task oriented. He doesn't the see the customer as the reason for his job, he sees the customer as a burden to his job. He likely arrives in relief at the store knowing that the manager is always nowhere to be found. No vendor in a properly managed store would ever attempt to be so stupid as to have merchandise across the floor to completely block customer traffic.
