This is not a place to bring a date. It's a buffet located inside an Indian market, like the buffet was an afterthought. There are a few tables inside and a few outside. When I arrived at around 11:15, they were running late getting the food out. After about 10 minutes, about 5 items came out that I recognized, curry chicken, tandoori chicken (that had a funny glaze on it), an eggplant dish, and pakora. I skipped the goat cause I'm not a fan. They brought me some pieces of naan, too. I was thinking the pakora, which were nice and crispy, would be good with some chutneys. About 15 minutes later, they brought out another 5 dishes, which all seemed vegetarian. 10 minutes after that, some chutneys came out. All in all, I'll be back to get down with some delicious Indian food, but not for the ambiance. 11/21/23 Getting lunch! Chili chicken, samosas, Muttar rice garlic naan ordered. Made spicy too. The worker was nice and said it would be ready in 20 minutes. I went in to get it shortly later. It's set up like a grocery store. Right when you walk in there's a register area where you pick up orders and a bakery section. The order was ready and the worker was very nice. I asked if she would recommend a popular bakery item. She recommended the Gulab Jamun. I got 2. Paid for it and the worker wished me a good day! Definitely a Great price in comparison to other Indian restaurants bought from. Lunchtime! Got it set up & split. Chili chicken was put over the Muttar rice and Delicious with a nice, spicy kick! Fresh & tasty garlic naan! Samosa was really great too! Especially with the side sauces included! Mother said hers was Great with a lot of flavor and good amount of spice! Lots of leftovers too! Such a good surprise! Full buffet at a good price at a gas stop? Full menu is available too. Naan was excellent. Thinner which I prefer. Chai was good though already sweetened which is not my preference. Definitely sit outside if it's not too hot. There are booths inside that are comfy if it is. Five stars for the food: Outstanding buffet with plenty of carnivorous and vegetarian entrees...too numerous to mention them all but the goat curry stands out with its spicy sauce and meaty pieces (not too much bone). The lunch buffet was $12, very low price for good Indian Food in Fresno. Three stars for the presentation: styrofoam cups, plastic utensils but they have those metal buffet trays which are similar to the ones they use at truck stops in India and Pakistan. Disgusting bathroom --- but we were on our way to the West Shaw Costco, so just remember this is an Indian Market (the name says it all). Many people will be put off by styrofoam cups, the aloof staff, the scuzzy bathroom and go elsewhere but if you look past these faults you will be rewarded with abundant delicious Indian food for ridiculously cheap prices! read more

The rotis were raw and cold, as if they were made before the vegetable was ready. The buttermilk had less buttermilk and more foam. Apart from food, there are many other good Indian things. Best goat curry I've ever had! Lots of different spices make it very delicious. Came with lots of flavorful rice and a huge naan. If you want to eat decent indian non vegetarians food, this place is perfect for you. I have tried their biriyani and chicken tikka masala and butter chicken and Goat curry, everything is sooooooooooooo good!!! One thing is they mean business!! The store is not that clean and the place is little hidden but the food is just amazing so we have to keep going back. I tried the samosa plate and it's a pretty good size & only for 3.99 I mean what more do you want? If you don't want fast food then I think this is the beat route to go! My plate was pretty spicy BUT and I also wish I would've got some NaN to go with it but I'll know for next time. I'll probably get something else. They were also really friendly so that's a huge plus! Only thing I didn't like were those huge pieces of onion on top. read more

We were heading back to LA from Yosemite and craving for some Indian food. Thank God that we chose this restaurant over other 20+ restaurants in this area. Service was quick. Everything was freshly made not like most of the Indian restaurant where half of the stuffs are pre-made. Restaurant owners are friendly and nice. This restaurant has very simple furnishings and feels like a hole in the wall restaurant but the food was delicious and very authentic Indian down to the the turban clad person working in the kitchen and the deep Indian accent of the server/host. Large vegetarian and meat menu with good appetizer choices. I had the Lamb Rogan Josh at medium spice but they were afraid to really do medium so it was not as spicy as I wanted. I have had Indian food many times and this was up to the highest level I have experienced. no wine of alcohol and a very simple selection of beverages. I go to this place when the other is closed. Good flavor and spice overall. I had to correct a few things like when ordering palak paneer specify spinach only or theyll use mustard leaves. And, specify no bones for curry or theyll leave them in. Update-7/18 - I have ordered multiple times at this point. I order palak and it seemed like they heated the saag from a can and added green chilis. The chicken curry comes bone in. When asked for it without bones they said they couldn't make it that way.
