The hygenist I was treated by had been working in the field for over fifteen years. The dentist managed to locate a cavity that had positioned itself between my teeth because of the technology they use, so I was grateful. We are new to Vero Beach and our realtor recommended this dentist office. Just had my appointment yesterday! Routine cleaning and X-rays done. I have a very petite and bony mouth, making X-rays uncomfortable and downright painful. My hygienist noticed this immediately and made sure to use the child size instrument instead, which made for a much more pleasant experience. Cleaning was done efficiently, thoroughly and free of pain.i scheduled a second visit in 6 months and husband is going in June. Definitely recommend! read more

Have been a patient for over a year now and I have nothing but good things to say about this place. I'm 26 and used to DREAD going to the dentist. Since the day I walked in this place I felt more comfortable than I ever have walking into a new dentist let alone a dentist at all. Kristin my hygienist was so welcoming and kind I felt like I knew her for years. So much so I had Sarah the wonderful receptionist put in my file that I only want her. She was warm and kind and explained everything to me down to a T. Dr.Plower was also just as kind and walked me through everything. I must confess that visiting Dr. Plower's Dentistry office was pleasant from start to finish, what with worries that I had weighing on my mind at that time. Turns out, I had a tooth worn down enough that required bonding, and Dr. Kathy went right to work! (Reviews detailing how quickly her Team works is spot on, and yet, I for one do NOT feel that she is too brief in any manner of speaking.) Let us face facts and face them well: namely, consider the fact that the waiting room always, always has patients waiting - that alone speaks for itself. I myself am a retired physician, and a busy waiting room means plenty of work need be done - and fast! So, that said, with determined speed and grace I might add ... my tooth was the better for it! What a relief. Now folks reading this, before you go to see Dr. Plower for care, please review your insurance coverage carefully! (And I do mean CAREFULLY). I myself joined a coverage that literally stated it went into effect i-m-m-e-d-i-a-t-e-l-y. NOT so! Thinking I was covered by insurance, it seemed natural to expect said insurance company to perform like they advertised. In the long and/or short run, WE the patients must remember the standard adage that usually is on every business manager's desk, and that is.... "payment is expected at time of services." Truthfully, that very same 24 hour period found a hacker using my card #s to charge 800$+ worth of computer software and the bottom line here is - emberassing as this was, one learns to read the fine print well ahead of time here. You know, I called back to the office later to apologize for the mix up on my part - naturally with care this good and with people this caring, one wants everything to go smoothly as can be. Just like clockwork in an efficient, professional way. In the future, I am thinking that my smile can be saved after all ... hope is a powerful thing, yes? Part of a filling in a tooth fell out. I do not have dental insurance and wanted to replace the missing part of a filling. The office has a digital xray system and camera so I was able to see the problem with my own tooth. Dr. Plower insisted that I have an expensive crown and would not work on it if I did not agree to the crown. She told me that the filling needed a tooth behind it to stay in???? She spent about one minute with me to tell me that. As the patient I feel I should be allowed to decide if I want to try a filling. Will not be returning. read more

Broke a bridge and even cracked the root on the two teeth at the the bridge attachments. Had been going else where and always had to return after any work and get a repair or adjustment and spent a fortune. Had to have bridge removed and two teeth pulled, called got in almost immediately after even trying these chain store dentist that say walk in ok would be 10 days. Treatment was great in and out and I am a terrible person with dentist that is my only reason for only 4 stars my fear of dentist and the lack of integrity of most dentist with price gouge especially if you have insurance. Dr Powell very fair and up front with any cost and even had a credit when insurance paid more than she billed out, most Dentist would have pocketed the money and said nothing. read more

Love this dental office. They are professional, kind, and take you on time. Dr. Plower is attentive when she checks in after a cleaning. Last year I had to have a crown put on. I had no trouble with it and a great experience (as dental visits go) even though I was nervous about it. They really put me at ease. I highly recommend Dr. Plower. read more

Never did see the doctor/dentist on my last visit. When she did walk in on the previous visits, she spent maybe two minutes, if that long. My dentist in MA, was more thorough, and spent more time with his patients. I preferred the hygienist that did my cleaning the two times before. I am still fairly new to the area. Wish they had a patient portal instead of having to call the office. After my upcoming visit, I will make a decision to stay, or find another dentist. Convenient location though. They are a bit expensive in my opinion. read more
