delicious softserve in the middle of the mojave desert, who could ask for more? the people working here were very friendly. the icecream was quite yummy, i liked it a lot. had the pistachio flavor which has the flavor swirled into the sides. it's a cool looking icecream. apparently this place is a drive in dairy... so you can drive your car here to pick up milk and stuff too. they had various food items too, like chili dogs, which we didn't try. will have to come back sometime! read more

THey have a large menu BUT also we ahve a huge serprise when we orderede the breakfast burrito and it was a 7-11 burrito that had been nuked, they don't actually have a grill to cook food. I've never been through a drive-through dairy to get ice cream before. My son and I were visiting from Southern California and decided to stop by for ice cream after dinner because it was so hot. We both were happy with the generous portions of ice cream we received. I got a large vanilla soft serve in a cup and my son got a mint flavored shake, which he thoroughly enjoyed. Service is always amazing & cheerful. The only thing I've had from here is drinks. After Bevridge shut down I had to find a place that had raspberry ice tea to my liking. Let me tell you, they have the best in town plus I love that they use the nugget ice. Their hot chocolate is always on point as well! read more

We were confused on how to order and because it was busy, it was difficult to hear the lady on drive thru. the one who sounded like mini mouse was very rude to us and called us annoying. genuinely we were very nice. i work in customer service so i understand how it can be frustrating however, that rude remark was unacceptable. read more

Soft serve and cookie sandwich were very good. Was told the cookie sandwich only comes with vanilla ice cream. Peanut butter cookies in the sandwich were very flavorful and chewy-delicious. After being in town for a year, we finally made it to the IWDTD and have to agree with everyone that they have the best ice in town. They are in the process of getting a new menu, so it being our first time there, I asked what type of drinks they had and ordered the peach iced tea, which was pretty delicious and refreshing on a hot night. Thankfully when we went it wasn't busy so we got our drinks by the time we drove over to the window. I believe they sell ice cream but not sure how many flavors they have. I thought they would carry the local pop, but I didn't hear any as an option. Or I could've misunderstood too. Either way, we'll definitely stop by again and hopefully the menu will be up! read more

I love to get drinks and snacks here, the line is usually really long. They used to be able to keep the line moving fast, but I've noticed the newer staff don't seem to have that speed yet. The last couple times they struggled to keep track of who's orders were who's when the line was slow and people kept leaving. I was born and raised in Ridgecrest. I have been going to the drive thru dairy since it first opened and have always loved it. We moved away 7 years ago but always go to the dairy whenever we are in town. A week ago, I had the worst experience I have ever had there, and sadly, I will never go back. We placed our order and drove up to the window. They were busy inside going through the money in the drawer. I figured maybe they were getting ready to change shifts or something, so I patiently waited. There were 4 girls inside. Not one acknowledged I was even there. They didn't say hold on a minute, or I'll be with you soon!! Nothing. We waited and waited. Seven minutes later, still nothing!!! After that, we noticed our root beer floats had been sitting there on the counter along with orders lined up behind ours. The ice cream was melting!! So I knocked on the window trying to get their attention. Not one of the girls looked at me!! A few minutes later, one of them finally opened the window. I told her I was just about to drive off because it had been so long and our ice cream was melting. Her reply was and I quote "you are very welcome to drive off". I came unglued and shared a piece of my 68 year old mind (with no cuss words) explaining that her attitude was the worst I had ever come across in all my life. I then drove away in tears. Drive Thru Dairy has the best ice in town! It is crushed super small and makes their soda delicious x100. They also have really good soft serve ice cream. My favorite has been the swirl (chocolate and vanilla) since I was a little girl. They have tons of other flavors of ice cream as well pretzels, candy, beer, etc. read more

Definitely the place to go for soft serve swirls as we know them and more that are bright and fruity flavored. I got a waffle cone with a lime swirl/blast or what have you....it's still a swirl but I forgot the name of the colorful flavored swirls, and a chocolate & vanilla swirl, large and still, both were cheaper than a large shake at Mc Donald's. They were huge! The small is great for kids...large...now large is the adult sized perfect cooling piece to order (small is a tease yes it is) All swirls, it's all I've had, aren't over sweet. Ya won't get over sugared out and toss it's too rich. I'll never go back to soft serve at mc Donald's again. Wish I knew it was down the road from there all this time. This is one of our favorite places to go. It's close to the house and the drive-through format makes it easy to get in and out. Especially enjoy dollar days on Wednesday and Sunday. If I can only make one complaints to the management it's that the inbox is full when you call their phone. I attempted to call them several times the other day because they got my order very wrong and I didn't notice until after I left. And I couldn't even see if they charged me wrong as well because they didn't give me a receipt. read more
