Do not stay at this hotel!! I stayed here 2 different instances, a year apart. Both stays were a complete nightmare. They overbook and treat you like you're the problem. Some of the staff are pretty awesome, but unfortunately they do not make up for the incompetence of the rest. The manager at the front desk will lie to you and promise to compensate you for your troubles; and pretty much tell you whatever you want to hear just to get you to go away. The courtyard could be pretty cool, if it weren't such a mess. I will sleep on the street before I'd ever stay here again.

Gorgeous, gorgeous girls believe in collecting their Bonvoy rewards, so gorgeous, gorgeous girls book Marriott at all costs. I typically try and book a Mariott property closer to the city/airport but, given the one busy weekend of the Indiana calendar year (Indy 500) there weren't any rooms available. So I booked closer to the east side and stayed at Marriott East for 2 nights in Spring of '22. It's obviously outdated, giving all the Shining vibes, and was also hosting a youth Christian retreat so I heard trust falls and worship music deep into the night but, didn't mind. I was very impressed by the gentleman who checked me in, he went above and beyond to communicate hotel layout, basic parking instructions, and elevator access. The gym is truly tragic but, there is equipment in it and it does work. Is it Le Meridian downtown? No, but, it works and I'm now a few nights closer to Bonvoy glory.

Not mine. There upon check in

In town for a volleyball tournament and this location was the closest to the venue. Our team coordinator called 3 times to get a group rate, none of which were returned. Strike 1. We got to the hotel the night before to find a football clinic being held for high school football. The lobby/bar are was full of men drinking, to the point that conversations got so lively that the local police & sheriffs were called in later that night to break it up...in the lobby. Get to the room & find 1/2 a 2L of Dr Pepper in the room fridge...not mine. Strike 2. While sitting in the chair putting my shoes for dinner, I happen to look over and see a BOOGER on the wall!!! What!? With all the other options in the area, I will NOT be back!

It's so big with 3 hotels connected and large meeting halls in this Marriott center, sharing the garden, swimming pool and fitness. Marriott East is hotel not residence inn, upgrade suite for us, quite spacious and comfortable. Room is clean and well equipped, but elevator is old and slow. Lounge is quite small, but with good quality of food. Easy and free to park.

Alright where to start. We visited this establishment a year ago, beautiful visit review on google. So here we are 2023 and a new review. In my integrity, I must be honest. 1. yes I still five star the Indianapolis Marriott East because there are still very good quality in this establishment. One being that the staff are extremely professional, friendly, assistive and courteous. 2. The parking lot, smoke area and entrance to lobby is well kept (Please don't complain about the debris that makes it into the lobby for it walks in with us). 3. Even though many complaints about the slowness of the elevator just keep in mind a fast elevator could become a problem the faster the elevator could burn a cord and you're stuck or will drop. So I see nothing wrong with slow movement of the elevator. 4. Alright I admit the rooms needs some work just like any dwelling over years of usage but if you the guest would inquire you would learn that the Indianapolis Marriott East is going soon under remodeling, trust you me the staff and management are aware of the issues that the establishment is going through. As a reviewer I do read others review but I don't solely base my choosing on others negative reviews those are the reviews that may bring me to checkout those establishments out myself because some complaints are truly isolated that only happens with the writer, I do believe with integrity as a reviewer we should be honest on an isolated situation and not ruin a business because of one or two that presents unprofessional behavior giving the establishment a chance to rectify and handle the employee/employees . But overall if the establishment still have good services and professionalism with other employees that should not be ruined. Now I will say that this morning we were startled by a extremely loud fire alarm sound and being the woman I am in my pj's and all I went to the desk to understand why? And learned that the Hotel was not the cause of the trigger it was the carelessness of Grunau Service Company so I do not hold indianapolis Marriott East. As an ex Loss Prevention Officer for Marriott properties the Renaissance Portsmouth Hotel these incidents can happen do to the error of the companies hired to service any Hotels. So I don't hold Indianapolis Marriott East for today's scare. I am grateful for the excellent services we received from- Shahzad, Kolbi, Nate, Faith, Angel, Stacey, Mary Ritzer and Ed S the Gm. Their are many I wished I could have seen from last visit Diane, Jeff and many others whose names are on google review. Overall yes as a reviewer I still would return back to the Indianapolis Marriott East. And I still give this beautiful establishment a triple AAA+++.

Customer service was on point. As soon as we checked in, any questions I had were answered. The room was clean and comfortable enough for me and my three daughters to have a girls weekend. There are. It many places in the bathroom to put towels and shower needs. I chose this hotel based on the location to the children's museum. However, The pricing is considerably higher compared to hotels on the same street. The pool area was nice but needed attention and cleaning. The tiles are extremely slippery. My littlest fell just standing and was hurt badly. The restaurant is convenient but the buffet is not included with your stay and is pricey to add on. I feel like it is more because it is an event location but I could be wrong.

This is the piece that broke off our toilet and had apparently been glued back into place before.
    Chris T.

First and foremost, the staff was great and was very helpful. The issue is the building itself. Age has taken its toll and this building needs repairs and updates. Pieces of hardware on the furniture were barely holding on in some spots and parts of the ceiling are chipping away in the pool room. The toilet burst from the side as you can see in the picture as my wife flushed it later into the even. The issue was handled quickly and we were relocated to another room on the same hall. The bathroom vent was also next to the showerhead and we got a perfect view of the dust build up and probably mold. This experience has made me question the reliability of the Marriott brand.

I identified Home2 Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown to stay during my weekend in Indianapolis…read morebecause of its distance from my relative, and it being near Monument Circle and the World War Memorial. Other than that, I loved that it is a Hilton hotel, and the fact that it was lower in cost by a lot once I utilized my Expedia OneKeyCash rewards. I must mention parking because it was one thing that made me selective of hotel stay in the area. At Home2 Suites, valet parking is listed at $45.00, but if you want to take a chance there are parking garages in the surrounding area which cost around the same price. I parked at the garage located within Regions Tower and paid only $50.00 overnight. And there is metered parking in the area, if you are lucky to find a spot. My experience with the receptionist working behind the counter was nothing less than professional. Since my room had already been booked through Expedia, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 12:00 AM! And check-out ends at 11:00 AM! Home2 Suites, as expected, appeared immaculately beautiful! After locating and entering the room I stayed in, I said to myself "Lovely" once I took notice of the room and its kitchenet area. It came with a refrigerator, dishwasher, a sink with garbage disposal, plus cabinets with dishware and pots & pans inside. Now the furniture in the room gave the room somewhat of a homely like feel. The couch, and the carpet on the room looked like something you would see in your grandmother's house I swear, tehehe. The workspace in the room had a rollable table along with a rollable chair. And inside of the bathroom, there were liquid hygiene products inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels are slowly doing away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that make great travel hygiene additions. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards. I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable in the king-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I was satisfied with the water pressure of it, as well as being able to toggle with the spray patterns. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, an extra comforter, and a few lamps with electrical outlets. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Served from 6:00 AM to 9:00 AM on weekdays, and from 7:00 AM to 10:00 AM on the weekend; it was a relief to have the complimentary breakfast because I did not have to worry about finding a restaurant in the area. Using a waffle maker for the first time ever was a fun experience I must say. Overall, I was very satisfied with the quality of what was presented for the complimentary breakfast. I would surely book with Home2 Suites by Hilton Indianapolis Downtown again due to my experience with it because the hotel met my comfort needs, and I loved that its location is within an accessible distance of things of my interest in the city of Indianapolis. ~ Good vibes coming your way ~ Thomas G

When we got into the room. The staff was super accommodating and made sure that we removed a few doors down to a room that was smoke-free. Room was a good quality. Double beds. Shower okay, no bathtub. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The only downside about the coffee maker was that the universal coffee and plastic attachments did not go with the machine. It should have been a closed environment, but it was not. Once you inserted the plastic coffee filter and place the coffee filter pod into the maker, there was a gap, which led to splashing of the hot water onto the coffee filter pod that led to coffee Bean all over the desk. There was a snack area on the first floor where you could purchase snacks by scanning with self-checkout. Outside of that, no complaints. Security key required to get into the hotel, as well as up the elevator.

That is poor customer service. Let me be clear. They were not busy. I woke up at nine a m with a paper under my door. I received a charge of $585!!!!! Now let me just tell you, i went in my room and went right to sleep, because I was exhausted for my day of travel. This letter told me that I had been smoking in the room and charged me this amount. I immediately called down a customer service and was told that they would take it off when the manager came in at eleven o'clock. I was somewhat relieved at this, so I went on with my morning and got ready and went down and waited. The manager assured me that they would not charge my card and that I had not been charged yet. I was in town for a conference, and last year I booked a hotel two months before it and my hotel was about a mile away (oddly enough, a Hampton Inn co-located with a Homewood Suites), so this time I booked in January. Customer service here was superb, from start to finish. After checking in, I received a text asking how everything was going, and during my stay I was able to send follow-up texts if I had questions or needed anything. In addition, I was able to borrow/sign out an umbrella one day when it was raining - there's a $25 fee if you don't return it that day, but it's a very nice service they offer. I realized I forgot a shower cap one day, too, and the front desk was able to provide me with one. Pros: -Huge and unique rooms. The building is from the late 1800s and has been repurposed into this hotel. I think my room was bigger than my first apartment! -Nice sitting area with a couch even though I had a king studio suite. Huge kitchen with full-size fridge and freezer, plus flatware and even cooking utensils. -Large bathroom area, although no bathtub, just a shower. -Free breakfast daily, and they even had almond milk and oat milk for cereal - I have to drink non-dairy milk exclusively and hotels rarely have it available. -Free cookies at front desk -The staff was super friendly, when I returned every day from the conference I was welcomed back Cons: -Very few from me, but: no safe in the room -Towels are small but that's normal for most hotels nowadays -Wifi was a little wonky - on my computer and work iPhone it was fine, and also fast, but on my Android/personal phone, texts were delayed.
