Great staff. Great service. The only reason there was a four, was that the first room that was given to us, was supposed to be a smoke-free room, but immediately smelled like smoke. When we got into the room. The staff was super accommodating and made sure that we removed a few doors down to a room that was smoke-free. Room was a good quality. Double beds. Shower okay, no bathtub. Refrigerator, microwave, coffee maker. The only downside about the coffee maker was that the universal coffee and plastic attachments did not go with the machine. It should have been a closed environment, but it was not. Once you inserted the plastic coffee filter and place the coffee filter pod into the maker, there was a gap, which led to splashing of the hot water onto the coffee filter pod that led to coffee Bean all over the desk. Breakfast every morning. Waffles, either scrambled eggs or pre-cooked omelette, pork sausage, chicken sausage. Golden potatoes, yogurt, fruit, various breads, oatmeal, cereal, coffee, tea, hot chocolate. Pretty good size dining room as well. On the second floor. Second floor was also where the fitness center was. The floors were labeled with having vending machines on floors 4 and 7:00, but I could not find any. There was a snack area on the first floor where you could purchase snacks by scanning with self-checkout. Refrigerated items, frozen items, candy, chips, etc. The only thing the room really needed was a deep clean. Crevices and corners could have used some extra care and love. This place was right spank downtown near most of the shit one would want to do. We were in town to go to a Knicks game vs the pacers so the walk to gainbridge fieldhouse was like two steps, no complaints about that. Walk to anywhere else was pretty reasonable. Just a few steps to the main monument in downtown. About 20 minutes to fountain district or the canal. Staff were very friendly. Our room was decently spacious. Nothing crazy but we were able to leave our suitcases open on the floor so that's a plus. Our room was clean and cleaned the one day we were there (2 nights). Bed was comfy no issues with that. The pillows were flat to the point that they must be fucking with me. I mean the minute you put a human head or anything with any weight on it, the shit would collapse to nothing. Does anyone like this? I had to literally fold my pillow in half to get any lift for my head. Please get new pillows. The towels were plentiful but a little rough. There was no blood or bodily fluids that I was able to detect. The shower pressure was FANTASTIC. The sink pressure however was not good and who knows if the tooth paste actually fully rinsed from the brush. The temperature was also all fucked up and had no clear relation to the position of the handle. One moment the same position would be scalding and the next, ice cold. I would like to be clear that this was for the sink faucet only. I did not hear the noise the other reviewers complain about despite facing the gainbridge fieldhouse. Not perfect. Our stay was wonderful in many ways. Check-in was quick and easy, thanks to Damien, who was pleasant and very helpful. The next morning, Kay made breakfast a delight--she greeted us warmly, kept everything well stocked, and was super attentive to our needs. One area that could be improved is the valet service. When we pulled up, we had to unload all of our many bags ourselves and struggled to carry them in before a valet inside noticed us. Later, when we called for our car to run an errand, we found it covered in snow. We hadn't realized the vehicles were not kept in a covered garage, and it would have been nice if more than just the windshield wipers had been cleared. Called earlier in the week to ask about breakfast. Alex answered and recommended Gallery Pastry Bar. Looked good! But realized although it opened in time, the kitchen didn't open until 9am and that was too late. I called back. He patiently helped look for another place and suggested Cafe Patachua. That was the excellent level of service from the front desk! They wouldn't go past 1pm for a late checkout and that cramped my schedule a bit. Also the app gave me an accessible room choice on a low floor near the elevator- all the opposite of what was in my profile. I texted the front desk and we cleared it up. I did get the 6th floor in a great corner room but not the highest floor. Valet parking efficient. Room was clean. Location was good for me. I walked a few places. They are building a Starbucks across the street. Yay! Would stay here again. read more

Booked a 3 day stay at $175 a night, when I called 2 weeks before my trip to reduce to 2 days they changed the rate to $400 a night. On top of that they are charging $10-20 more just to get a room with ada access. They have no wheelchair accessible parking. In fact they have no on site parking at all so you have to pay $125 a day extra for valet rather then have a free lot available for customers. They will add $100 "hold" to your card on top of your stay price when you arrive which isn't noted anywhere on the website. The ac system is so loud you will feel like your next to a jet engine as it turns on and off throughout the night. Shower had no hot water. Make sure to put your hang tag up because house cleaning service will start pounding on your door at 9am. Great location, terrible hotel. read more

I considered Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown Across from Circle Centre for hotel stay because of its short distance from Gainbridge Fieldhouse, which is the home of the Indiana Pacers, Indiana Fever, and Indiana Mad Ants! Along with it being lower in cost for Hilton Honors members as I am currently, I loved that it was also located nearby a plethora of businesses and restaurants within downtown Indianapolis itself. It was those things that won me over and led me into booking with Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown Across from Circle Centre. I must mention parking because it was one thing that made me feel uneasy while entering this busy area. At Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown, the valet parking is listed at $40.00, but if you want to take a chance there are parking garages in the surrounding area which likely cost around the same price. I parked within Denison Parking Merchants Garage which was located on the next block over and paid only $35.00 overnight. And there is also metered parking in the area, if you are lucky to find a spot. My experience with the friendly receptionist working behind the desk was nothing less than professional. Since my room was already booked through Hilton Honors, the only thing check-in consisted of was a verification of my information, a briefing of what the hotel offers, and giving me my room key. For your information check-in starts at 3:00 PM and ends at 11:00 AM; and check-out ends at 12:00 PM! The hallway felt like a maze as I walked down it to locate my room. After locating and entering my room, I took a liking of the design of the room and interior which appeared so elegant. There were liquid products by Gilchrist & Soames Zero% inside of the shower attached to the wall. Seems like hotels have completely dealt away with the mini shampoo, bath soap, and conditioner products that made really great travel hygiene additions. Thankfully I brought soap with me because the shower gel attached to the wall was low on liquid. Eek! I really encourage others to do the same because just as easy as it is to refill the liquid containers, it can be easily forgotten about. Along with those notable things inside of the room, it met my cleanliness standards, even with its stained carpet that I could not unsee. Moreover, I had no issues whatsoever getting comfortable and sleeping in the lovely queen-sized bed during my stay as my head was engulfed in-between the comfortable pillows. While utilizing the shower, I really enjoyed the water pressure; the soothing pressure of the water made me feel very cleansed during each usage. In spite of the shower head being flawed, it was wonderful toggling with the spray patterns, with the addictive feel of the pressure hitting the inside of my ear. Other things the room came with that I noticed were an iron, ironing board, blow dryer, a coffee maker (Hamilton Beach), a mini refrigerator, microwave, and a few lamps with USB and electrical outlets built-in to the nightstands. And the Wi-Fi internet was easy to connect to and not once did I have any connectivity issues with it during my stay. Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown had decent looking inner interior in spite of the building being around for some time. I was intrigued by the US Mail cutler mailing system chute feature which is an indicator as well. Shout out to Hampton Inn for maintaining the building since 1996, as the building has been around since 1929 with some of its features still present. As a fitness enthusiast, it was great having a fitness center onsite because it allowed me to keep up with my fitness routines into the weekend. I was impressed to see the number of dumbbell weights, medicine balls, a decent selection of workout machines, and a peloton fitness bike which I deeply enjoyed during my stay. If you are visiting the city of Indianapolis, the Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown sits not only within acceptable walking distance of a plethora of restaurants and businesses, but Circle Centre Mall, and the intriguing Soldiers and Sailors Monument as well. It made my day knowing that Gainbridge Fieldhouse was literally right around the corner from the hotel as I walked to-and-from it for the basketball game. I would surely book with Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown Across from Circle Centre again because the hotel met my comfort needs. I stayed here for the Pro Cheer Match Last weekend. It was awesome. The staff was remarkable. the hotel was very clean, the breakfast was amazing, the valet service was top notch, and the location was perfect. I am a solo traveler and I never felt uncomfortable. Check in -out was so easy. The scones for breakfast were out of this world. The housekeeper asked me if I would like my room serviced. I replied no, I'm only here for 2 nights. I spoke with the Valet young man when I came back the night before check out. I told him I was leaving around 430 am, he said he would have my Jeep ready. He did!. Overall one of the best stays I have experienced. One thing that I did have an issue with is the elevator. I did not know you needed to use your key to use it. I felt so stupid trying to get to the 9th floor, until someone else came in the elevator and told me. Great stay and this will be my first choice if I ever get back to INDY. Thank you. read more

I stayed with my mom for one night last week during our two-day stay in Indianapolis. The hotel is centrally located downtown, with restaurants, coffee shops, and sightseeing landmarks within walking distance. The hotel is an older building. Nevertheless, it is well-maintained and clean. The staff is friendly, and the front desk staff got us checked in in a few minutes and got us a room on the second floor where the laundry and the dining area are also located. I brought my dog with me, so this hotel chain is pet-friendly, and you only have to pay the base pet fee for the whole stay. As for parking, you can either choose to do valet parking (which I did), or you can choose to do street parking; just be mindful that your parking meter does not expire during your stay, or else you'll be fined with a ticket. Overall, I enjoyed my one-night stay here in Indianapolis. This hotel chain is my preferred one for my road trips as it is super pet-friendly and easy to book online! I highly recommend this hotel if you are traveling with your fur buddies and need a great hotel to stay in for the night. read more

Located in the renovated Chesapeake Building, the Hampton Inn Downtown has a prime location two blocks away from the Soldiers and Sailors Monument. Nice to be able to walk to see the monument lit up at night and explore downtown Indianapolis during the day. Thanks to Dezi and Mason for sharing the history of the hotel. Built in 1929, the Chesapeake Building was headquarters for the Big Four Railroad which served the Midwest. It was renovated nicely by Hampton Inn in 1996. Nice to see the preserved Art Deco details. Several original features were restored like the mailbox chutes, the vintage ceiling in the lobby and the "This Car Up" signs that light up on the elevator. Nice comfortable overnight stay. Mason and Dezi were very warm and welcoming. Dezi provided not only history about the hotel, but very useful information to explore downtown Indianapolis. She was so happy and enthusiastic. Breakfast was served so cheerfully by Angelica who made customized, sealed grab and go boxes for each guest. Parking is a tad pricey, but we literally parked next to the hotel on the empty street for a few dollars. Thanks again to Dezi, Mason and Angelica. 5 stars for service (with a smile hidden safely behind a facemask). 5 stars for location at a 4 star hotel. Rip off artists. Reserved a room for big 10 championships using my Honors points. For unforeseen reasons...had to cancel trip... with more than a 96 hour notice. Hilton charged me $449.00 because their policy is you can't cancel a room in under 30 days. I travel for a living and have never heard anything like it before. I do not recommend. I stayed at this location on 3/28-3/29/25. I was moving from Nebraska to New York and Indiana was along the way. 9 hours into my journey, I booked in advance and was trying to pull up to park. First off they did not tell me that I had to valet my car and that it was a separate fee from my almost 400 dollar over night stay. Valet was a young unprofessional man who was so far behind in valet there was no place for me to park along the busy street. I had to go around one ways, 3 times before there was a spot. When I finally got into the hotel the valet was on his personal phone and didn't realize I walked in until I said hello. The check in clerk was very professional, very kind and tried his best to accommodate me. He told me to leave my key to my car and he will have the valet send me the ticket number via text message. I was given my card key and off I went. As soon as I open the door, the smell of urine in that bathroom. I was too tired to verbally protest, settled in, took my shower, called my parents and went to bed. Woke up, went to have my complimentary breakfast (the kitchen staff chef were very inviting, professional and social with everyone) and realized I did not get a text message. I went to the check in desk and was greeted by 2 clerks, one young man and an older woman. I spoke to them about my valet ticket and was directed to valet. I went to them and they couldn't find my key. I distinctively gave my key with a key chain with a picture of the PR flag. 10 minutes no key. My key was found in the cabinet, on the bottom of it. Not on a hook like the others. The valet checked my key in on 3/29/25 so the system thought I was checking out on 3/30, I couldn't give them a heads up at least 15 minutes ahead so that I am not delayed. Delayed 45 minutes. Paying for the valet was a challenge. The young man clerk was new, just a week of employment. He had an issue with processing my payment. He asked the older lady politely to help me. She was helping 1 person no one else was behind this person. He states and I heard her agree she will help me after that person. The the male clerk goes to the back. 3 more people join her side of the check in/ check out desk and she leaves me waiting. When the male clerk comes back he sees my face expression has changed from happy to disgusted. He asks what was the matter? I expressed how she helped 3 people before me and left me here waiting. He had to tell her again and even then I still had to wait until she was ready. (Back story..the young male clerk was half Puerto Rican and half African American. He felt a connection to me and was very sweet. She initially was part of the social interactions but dismissed herself out of the conversation.) This woman did not look my way, acknowledge my patience in waiting, no assurance she is going to help me or even acknowledging my presence. After I expressed myself politely, about waiting and my time being wasted, she did not have the audacity to apologize. This was clearly bigotry because I look Caucasian and anyone who knows me, knows I am not. The moment she found out I wasn't Caucasian her attitude changed towards me. She is Caucasian and all those 4 people she helped were Caucasian. DO NOT GIVE THIS LOCATION ANY BUSINESS LATINOS AND AFRICAN AMERICAN/BLACK AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!! read more

This hotel is centered downtown within walking distance of most things. The facility is nicely decorated and has a modern feel. The room was very comfortable and well maintained. The desk staff was very friendly and professional. The valet parking was easy to use. Just send them a text when you are ready to leave. About 10 minutes to wait. The valet was also professional and delivered my car back in good condition. The continental breakfast was okay. They have your normal items - eggs, meat, oatmeal, donuts, cereal, etc.. the eggs and sausage taste like other hotel breakfasts...just okay. Road tripping through with my sister and 2 very large dogs. Though the hotel is a bit dated, we just needed a nice quiet place to rest for the night as we drove through and we got just that. The front desk staff was very professional and kind and made checking in and checking out very smooth. My one complaint is that parking is a bit inconvenient as they only offer valet. If you don't want to valet your vehicle, you can park it in the parking lot across the street. Yes, you have to pay. I was a bit nervous about the safety of our vehicle simply because I wasn't familiar with the area, it's also downtown, and it reminded me of downtown LA. Luckily, our rental vehicle was in one piece the next day. The room was clean. We had no issues. We weren't looking for frills, just a clean and quiet room. Everyone slept well. Our reservation came with breakfast included, which was located on the 2nd floor. It seemed like only 1 elevator bank was in operation in the morning and so there was a lot of waiting since everyone was either leaving or trying to go get breakfast. Breakfast spread: Bagels, toast, muffins, apples, bananas, oranges, waffle station, oatmeal, eggs, bacon, and sausages. Coffee and juice. For a pet-friendly hotel, we found there were no convenient places for our dogs to relieve themselves. We ended up having to walk a few blocks to a nearby park (about half a mile). It's definitely not safe to do so after hours. We understand that this might be harder to provide as the hotel is located right in the middle of downtown but it's important to note for pet owners who plan to stay at this hotel, especially if they have a larger dog. Kieren, at the valet station, was super helpful and we appreciated his quick ability to anticipate our needs and offer to help whenever he saw us. Angela is a sweetheart check out time is 11 A.M. in this hotel unlike "Hampton inn Indianapolis ne-Castleton"who check out is 12p.m. Which I stay the previous night , any way Angela extended my stay in my room until 1 p.m. because when i check out at 11 a.m. i ask her if i can kill time in stay at the hotel lobby until 4:05 p.m. until my Transporation time to leave town , she extended my room time until 1 p.m. i'll never forget that and plus i had a snack "family dollar shopping bag ", and she gave me a free adidas duffel bag to put my family dollar snack bag", Angela is sweetheart she need to be promoted to be a manager . she went above her means to statsify me and i was very happy and pleased . and she did hold my luggage in the storage area inside the hotel , so I had chance to kill time in Indianaoplis downtown area , I went to circle centre mall across the street when i killed time when check out my room 1p.m. And after I came back to the hotel to get my luggage and walk over to the terminal to board back to New York . This hotel served brekfeast on the second floor its call the Pennsylvania lobby floor there a young hispanic dude he was very freindily and next hispanic -latino lady in the brekfeast area there where very nice unfourtnely I didn't get there names , this hotel is located in old office building and its converted into a hotel , unfourtnely it doesnt have a pool , but there do have a fitness center (gym) floor located on the second floor . if i'm in the downtown Indianapolis i'll definitely would stay here , and there a next lady who was very helpful to i forgot her name she had a blue shirt on . i usually like to stay at "La Quinta inn & suites hotel" , I think Hilton hotel franchised have me as customer! Impressive! Located right in the heart of downtown on Meridian Street & McMurray Drive, this is one of the rare times where I didn't want to leave both the hotel & city due to how fun of a time that I was having. I arrived late on a Thursday night in August 2018, and found the downtown area around this hotel to be bustling with activity. One of the popular bars (Nook) had a deal with the hotel with drink coupons for the next day, since I missed the Hampton Inn manager's reception from 5 PM-7 PM. Parking was extremely limited, so I had to valet my car for $28 a night or risk parking in an area that I didn't know until 7 AM. No big deal. Check-in was quick, and informative. I was given a 7th floor room facing towards the iconic Soldiers & Sailors Monument. Meanwhile, I could still hear the bustling downtown activity going on from seven floors up. I was super tired, so this didn't bother me. In fact, I regretted being fatigued. Otherwise, I would have joined in on all the fun in downtown due to it being in walking distance. The room had no issues whatsoever. I practically melted in my king-sized bed, and passed out until 7AM the next day. No noise within the inside of the building at all during this evening. I appreciated the hotel in providing music devices on the bed (I didn't use it). Certainly a nice touch. Breakfast was a bit "meh." I expected more of a traditional Hampton Inn breakfast (sausage, biscuits, etc), yet had egg bagels, bland omelettes, and super dried-out bacon instead. It was definitely a "carbs & coffee" sort of deal, yet it was a decent start to the day. I made up for it by walking to the first local coffee shop (Hubbard & Cravens Coffee and Tea) that was about a block away in the direction of the Soldiers and Sailors Monument later that morning, as well as a quick stop at Jimmy John's for lunch. Customer service here was absolutely outstanding, from the front desk, valet, management, and breakfast employees. Even though breakfast wasn't up to my standards, the breakfast employees were super nice, and tried their best to accommodate me. Not their fault that their breakfast supplies were lacking. Nonetheless, this was certainly a well-appreciated welcome to Indianapolis for a night! Will certainly return to this Hampton Inn location. read more

just got scammed out of the deposit of $200 deposit for a 4 night stay I just came back from a while ago the people at this specific hampton are in denial saying they sent it back but they did not and telling me to just ask my bank about it and I have they said they never did sent the $200 back to my account for the 4 night stay I was in this hotel is a bunch of scammers also felt really uncomfortable during my stay when I had to walk to the convention center for the event I was going to as I get there is a homeless person problem there but literally had cop cars pass by when people were completely naked on the streets and ally ways and did nothing about it otherwise I think its safe to say I'm never coming back to Indianapolis ever again unless I really need to for something important but it will never be with the hampton at this location ever again that is for certain read more

If I could leave a 0 stars or negative stars, I absolutely would. I made a reservation in march for 11/9 under my name, called on 11/6 to add my dads name so he will be able to check in, they confirmed they can check in and there wont be any problems. Once my parents got to the reservation on 11/9, the front desk clerk name PABLO aka PAUL denied the check in advising it's against policy and there's no notes. I called several times to get them checked in and they kept saying it is an advanced reservation and the ONLY person who can check in was me. Keep in mind, they already charged the card $251.78. Front desk rep, transferred me to customer service and when I got transferred back to tell him what I was advised he literally YELLED at me in which caused me to ask him who TF he was talking too because that was uncalled for. He then lied and said he was the manager when he was not, he wasn't even capable of being a manager. Me, being a manager myself, I would never treat a customer the same way. You learn that during your career to become a manager. Pablo was EXTREMELY racist towards my parents and treated them with so much disrespect. He said unless I was present, they needed to leave the premises. I was hours away with a sick toddler, which is why we didn't join my parents. My brother, who LUCKILY, was in town as well had to show up to the hotel and ask for a room for my parents. PABLO also stated on the phone "my general manager said we're not going to do anything because of the way you and your sister talked to me" when I called with my brother on the line before he went up there. They made this impossible and treated us like total garbage. The discrimination was completely unnecessary and honestly, very disgusting. Zero resolution skills and 100% unprofessional. My brother had to pay for a whole new reservation which came out to $408.33 which is DOUBLE, JUST so my parents could get checked in and not miss their concert which is the main reason they were in town anyways!!! They also charged me AGAIN for what I had paid months in advance, meaning in total they took almost $915 which they refused to refund. Paul cancelled my reservation on purpose just so that he could charge me again. The next morning when my parents checked out, the lady at the front desk (whom was absolutely AMAZING) shared with us that PAUL was not a manager and that he always treats certain customers like this and that he always gets negative reviews. The hotel was DIRTY, the front desk was eating in front of the guest and had their food layed out in the front desk, they were disrespectful, RACIST and had zero care for their customers. They made it a nightmare. My brother contacted Corporate and they continued to say there is nothing we can do, the hotel has to issue the refund and they are refusing. We tried contacting the general manager at the hotel, her name is JEANNIE HENSLEY more than 15 times, through email, calls and she avoided speaking to us because she automatically sided with PAUL/PABLO. The worst experience ever at any of the Hilton hotels. Look for somewhere else to stay and NEVER pay in advance for a reservation without asking questions. ITS A SCAM!!!!! read more

This property is located in an old, historic building near restaurants, bars, and other entertainment venues in downtown Indianapolis. Overnight parking is in garages nearby, or by using the valet for a fee. Breakfast is standard Hampton Inn fare, although the dining area is being remodeled. The stars of this property are the rooms. I have no status in the Hilton Hhonors program, but still obtained a huge corner room. The bed was comfortable and morning came too quickly. The staff was friendly and efficient. If I find myself in downtown Indianapolis needing a reasonably priced roof over my head, this would be my first choice. read more

I was there for the Taylor Swift concert, and they fully embraced it and made guests feel welcome, not stressed & we're so organized. The last historic building turned hotel I stayed in was supposedly very haunted so a bit apprehensive when I heard we would be staying here. Luckily, nothing too crazy too worry about as this was just an old office building, not like a prison or anything! Right in the heart of downtown, this hotel is in easy walking distance of almost anything you would want to see while staying in Indianapolis. I really like Hampton Inns because they are usually very conistent in terms of quality and service, and this location did not disappoint. Fresh cookies and coffee where available throughout the day and they offered one of the best continental breakfasts I have ever had (and I am comparing that to Hilton's Executive and Embassy Suites' breakfast offerings). Fresh pressed juice, fruit smoothies, make your own pancake batters with flavors including malted vanilla, cinnamon roll, and pumpkin spice, fresh eggs, breakfast pizza, and so much more. I also want to give this location a shout out because the staff during breakfast were amazing. Super friendly, efficient, and full of a desire to make a each person's day special, great staff. Unfortunately, there was no pool or hot tub and and parkign was not included, so that was a bummer but the location offered great service and walkability in downtown. read more

I made a reservation at this location on 9/11/2024. When I arrived they told me they did not have a reservation for me, and that I would need to cancel it online. The process of cancellation is extremely difficult. In the end they refused to cancel it and charged me for the room. I will never stay at a Hampton Inn or Hilton property again. read more

I was in town for a convention and this hotel was on the list hosted by convention. Since I am a Hilton Honors member I booked two rooms for 3 nights for myself and coworker. It was immediately apparent that the hotel was in serious need of updat, but as long as clean one could live with it. The second morning as I was getting ready for work I caught a glimpse of something behind the bathroom door. It was a huge cockroach that took me a long moment to catch and flush down the toilet. The person at the front desk asked me to email picture to the guest services. I did, but they obviously could not be bothered to acknowledge it, which prompts my poor review. Not only do we need to eradicate pests in our room, but the the noise level from the street was very loud, toilet flushing sounded like a bomb going off, fan from heater was excessively loud, and when checking out at 730 am, there was a long line waiting and nobody at the front desk. I finally gave up and put room keys behind the counter and walked out. . I will share my feedback with the convention people who have this hotel on their list. Never again Hampton! What a disappointment to the Hilton brand. read more

Excellent front desk staff, attentive, friendly, informative and very professional. Hotel was very clean. Valet staff was incredibly friendly and a great first impression. Room was comfortable, large, clean. Bed was very comfortable. Pillows excellent. Bathroom is large, clean, oversized tub. Well supplied with necessary items. A lot of towels. Valet parking available and this stay I took advantage of that amenity. Definitely recommend and will stay again. read more

Staff was wonderful. Rooms are clean and comfortable albeit maybe slightly dated....with the hallways feeling a bit worn. Lots of things going on in area so there is a definite sense of a vibrant area at least when we were there. That said (and certainly nothing the hotel can do about it), we were amazed at how often motorcyclists were revving their engines driving through the area. Seems like ever few minutes, all evening long, some idiot(s) would drive through. Pretty annoying when it's still happening at 10 and 11 pm. read more

The Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown at 105 S Meridian St, Indianapolis, Indiana is a very central location hotel.  And a great stay this past weekend! The Hampton Inn is just across the street from the Hard Rock Cafe, around the corner from Champps, PF Chang's, St Elmo Steak House, Howl at the Moon, the new hot spot Punch Bowl Social, and also just around the corner from Bankers Life Fieldhouse and two blocks from the Indiana Convention Center. The location really can't be beat.  The staff too was excellent.  Jake upon our arrival was a super nice guy.  Very helpful and incredibly friendly.  Shana and Sara too at Check In were incredibly nice, helpful with the area, and accommodated all of our needs at the front desk. The room was really spacious considering what you pay.  Any 4-star or 5-star would charge you around $800 or $900 for this kind of space.  Granted this is no 4-star or 5-start property, but what you receive for what you pay is pretty impressive. We'll be back to the Hampton Inn Indianapolis Downtown at 105 S Meridian St, Indianapolis, Indiana if ever back in Indianapolis!  Such a great group of team members, and really a bargain for the offering! We stayed at the Hampton Inn recently and were quite impressed with the hotel, its location, and downtown Indianapolis in general. Upon arrival, we informed the front desk clerk that we brought our daughter with us so we would need an extra bed for the night. Instead of providing a bed, the clerk upgraded us to a suite, which included a fold out couch. Score! The suite was large and very nice appointed. The view of downtown Indianapolis from the 5th floor was great! We could see the Hard Rock Cafe, the square, and people walking around. It was a great room and I would definitely stay here again, especially if it's in a suite. I slept very well, even though I could hear traffic on the main roads. Recommend! read more

We made a reservation in march for 11/9 under Daniela, we called on 11/6 to verify that my parents(Robert) will be able to check in, they confirmed they can check in and there wont be any problems. Once Robert got to the reservation on 11/9, the front desk clerk name PABLO aka PAUL denied the checkin to Robert. Daniela called several times to get them checked in and they kept saying it is an advanced reservation and the ONLY person who can check in was Daniela. Keep in mind, they already charged the card $251.78. PABLO lied and said he was the manager when he was not. Pablo was racist towards my parents and treated them with so much disrespect. Told them unless Daniela was present, they needed to leave the premises. I (Andre) had to show up to the hotel and ask for a room for my parents. PABLO proceeded to contact his "MANAGER" who is just the assistant manager named SAM, SAM proceeded with the same story that my parents cant check in unless DANIELA is there. Daniela was 2 hours away in a whole other state. They made it impossible and treated us like total garbage. Zero resolution skills and 100% unprofessional. I had to pay for a whole new reservation which came out to $408.33 JUST so my parents could get checked in and not miss their concert which is the main reason they were in town anyways. Walked into our room & saw a cockroach next to our bath. To their credit, they did switch us rooms. However, the uneasy feeling of a massive issue inside the hotel's older building made us have to switch hotels at 11:00 PM on a Tuesday night. Would recommend anywhere else but here until they get this place fumigated & controlled a bit better. read more

My wife and I set up a block of rooms with this hotel to serve as the recommended accommodations for our recent wedding. Overall, we were very happy with how things worked out! First, the location of the hotel is very convenient. It's right in the heart of downtown, so a bunch of different restaurants and bars are within walking distance. When we signed in, the front desk staff seemed to know who we were (the "getting married couple") and provided some pillow spray as well as a nice note congratulating us. On the other hand, for a couple of days before we got married, we were staying in different rooms, and they put us right down the hall from one another :) Different floors may have been nice to more easily keep with wedding traditions (not seeing each other on the day of the wedding, not seeing her on the night of her bachelorette party, etc.), but no big deal. The room itself was reasonably nice. The bed was comfortable, the TV was decent, and the shower had good water pressure and got nice and hot. Some slip mats for the bathroom may be a good idea (I was nervous when getting out of the shower!), but overall, no real issues. I also had a decent view out of my window of downtown Indy, although nothing incredible. Food-wise, the hotel was OK, but it would have benefitted from having its own restaurant. There was a complimentary breakfast (which I never took advantage of - sorry!) and some weekly events (I think they had free chili on the Thursday I was staying there) but no regular lunch or dinner. Maybe it doesn't make financial sense to have a hotel restaurant since there are so many restaurants nearby, not sure. When we were registering our block of rooms, Amy, the manager, was extremely helpful and answered my various emails quickly. She even extended the rate for one of the rooms (mine) for an extra night so that my wife and I could relax for a day before journeying off to our honeymoon. So big thumbs up to Amy for making our lives a little easier during a pretty hectic time :) I would definitely come back here for another stay if I was in the area. I am a Diamond Member and a Hilton Honors customer, I have stayed at Hilton properties all around the country 146 nights this year alone, for work and personal reasons. I was in Indy for personal reasons a week ago and I used my points to book a room at this property (50,000 pts). It did not have to be this property in particular, it was just the first one that popped up. I had an emergency come up at the last minute that night and was unable to use the room. I was unaware that I needed to do anything, I just assumed I would be out the 50,000 pts. So I was shocked when I woke up the next day and discovered that $350 was charged to my credit card! I immediately called the hotel to ask them why and after multiple calls to try to reach a "manager" I finally spoke with someone named Andrew who said he was the assistant manager. I explained to him that I am a very loyal Hilton customer and I am confused why I was charged $350 for a room I never stepped foot in and I paid with in points. He stated that it is in the fine print that if you do not "check in" you are then charged whatever the going rate may be that night plus tax (whether the going rate that night is $100 or $800). He then told me that all I had to do was digitally "check in" on my phone (which I have done many times) and I would have not been charged the $350. I explained to him that of course if I would have known that 30 seconds on my phone to "check in" would have saved me $350 I would have done that! He then explained that there just happened to be a large convention in town that night and that was why the price was higher than normal so I was just out of luck. (So if the going rate for a room that night was $800 I would have just been out $800 I thought to myself?) I explained to him that I think the policy is very confusing and misleading and that now I understand it (I guess) and I will make sure to at least digitally "check in" if I can not make it to a property at the last minute that I used my points to pay with. He then told me I would need to speak with Jeanie the other "manager" about getting reimbursed. I tried calling Jeanie the other "manager" for a week, and left several voice mails and nothing was returned. I then called the Diamond Desk to explain the situation to them and they told me that they reached out to the hotel and the management told them that they did not want to lose the money for the room that night and they were very "strict" about their policies at this location. So I thought to myself "You are going to lose a loyal customer who has spent thousands and thousands of dollars at your properties this year because I was simply confused about a policy? All because you wanted my $350?" I am very disappointed that Hilton has lost a very loyal customer over something that could have easily been resolved. I was very honest and nice with everyone I spoke with and tried to explain to them that I now understand the policy and that it is a tad bit confusing to understand at first. I just wanted my $350 back and they could keep the 50,000 pts. It is sad that Hilton (and this property in particular) chooses to loose a loyal customer over $350 dollars. read more

Location, location, location! This is prime location for downtown Indianapolis. It's next to several nice restaurants and bars and very close to Old National Center. In fact, an Uber was only $5 both ways. You could walk if you want and it's not far too. The staff were really friendly and the rooms were nice and the standard Hampton breakfast which is sufficient. There were some rust spots in the bathtub which I read someone else talk about, but that didn't anything. There are parking garages nearby or you can pay the $25 valet parking which I did and you can come and go as many times as you please. They're really fast at bringing your car to you. They have a sign in the lobby warning that if you want really quiet then this probably isn't the hotel for you since it is at a loud area downtown with the bars. I never had anything wake me up though. read more

I booked this hotel via Groupon as I needed a place to sleep while visiting Indy for an evening, the rate was reasonable and the booking was very easy and the hotel was ready for me at check in. When I first arrived I wasn't really sure where to park, so I pulled over and went inside the hotel to inquire and check in. I was greeted by an extremely friendly agent who informed me that the hotel has valet parking only, at a rate of $20/night. Before being presented with my room key, the agent inquired if I was a Hilton Honors Member, and made sure that I earned points for my stay, despite booking the reservation from Groupon. This is something I wish that Marriott would do, kudos to Hilton for going the extra mile. Once I was checked in I moved my car over to the valet side and unloaded. Valet was quick and friendly just like the front desk agent. The hotel itself is in a pretty central location in downtown Indy. However it is an older property, that could use some touching up but nothing major. Once I arrived to my room I noticed a little more outdated and quickly discovered some pretty bad rust spots in the tub, not something anyone should expect to find in their hotel room. The room itself was adequate as was the bed, however just like with most hotels the pillows were horrible. Why is it that hotels cannot invest in some quality pillows for their guests, they were far too soft and thin here to provide an acceptable night's sleep. Now my only real complaints were as follows: 1. shortly after falling asleep I was woken up by an intoxicated individual screaming in the hall and banging on the wall or a door. I simply let it go for a few thinking it would stop it continued, and just before I was about to call downstairs I noticed that someone else must had already reported this individual as someone was out in the hall talking to him. 2. About 8:20am on Monday I was woken up by the sounds of the maintenance staff in the room immediately next to mine removing a sleeper sofa from the neighboring room, needless to say that this wasn't a quite process and it all had to be repeated again when they decided to bring in a new sleeper sofa which didn't want to fir in the doorway, which required hammering and banging for them to make it fit. Couldn't this have been done after checkout, luckily that was a sign for me to get up and grab breakfast to avoid most of the noise. Breakfast was complimentary, and served on the second floor overlooking the downtown streetscape. The selection was adequate, with a waffle bar, eggs, and bacon along with the standard fare. I wasn't anything to rave about, however it served its purpose and allowed me to get back home without stopping for breakfast. The only thing that saved this stay from being a two star review was the staff, they were more than accommodating and extremely friendly. But overall this wasn't a great stay, however it was worth the $65/night rate that I paid via Groupon, not sure that I would have paid full price of $109, as there were Marriott properties nearby at a more competitive rate. If you are staying more than one night, do yourself a favor and shop around, there are a number of hotels in the area that have higher ratings. read more
