The two of them make a great team. It's obvious from their introduction that they love sharing their passion of sailing with others. Before we even got to the dock I was in contact with Josh on the phone and email. He responded quickly and was happy to offer some amenities. Josh offered me a few pick up locations and offered to drop us at our hotel marina. Once on the boat we covered a quick but thorough safety brief. We toured the river before entering the bay. Carmelita and Josh made suggestions for restaurants and other activities on Solomons and pointed them out as we passed them. Our tour took us around Solomons Island and under the bridge at sunset. Carmelita took pictures of us the whole time and shared them with us after the tour. It was great talking with them about how they got into sailing and how they learned their craft. The boat was clean and appeared to be sound. On the way back lighting storms were surrounding us. The light show was really cool to watch. The storm was about 30 miles so there was no danger and we felt safe the Josh and Carmelita were keeping an eye on the weather. I would definitely recommend their tour or charter service. We always book online and there's never any trouble. If you have never been parking can be a tiny bit confusing just know that it is behind a hotel once you are there you just line up and wait to board the boat. The captain is always nice. The mates are always nice and helpful. Bring cash to tip them they deserve it. I've also Cash App a tip. The crowd is always nice helpful friendly respectful we have never had a problem. You will always come home with fish if the fish are not biting the captain will move around until he finds a place where they are biting. Of course some days are better than others, but it is still a great experience . We will continue to go every year.

Had an awesome time with Captain Zach, Elijah, and Evan last weekend. Went on a bottom trip and we…read moreonce we dropped anchor, we didn't need to move again. There was a constant flow of spot. It was a gorgeous afternoon as well and I loved being on board. The captain was very engaging and eager to answer any of our questions. He displayed much patience from making sure everyone was catching and even when I had tried from catching so much, he fished with my rod. His love for what he does really showed through. He gave us a tip for catching them and every time we did it, we hooked up. The mates were awesome and as soon as you had a fish they were there taking it off your hook and putting in your cooler. One even sampled some fresh bunker lol ;-) The captain was even helping out and I don't remember too many if any captains on my previous trips with other vessels helping out like that. A lady on board caught 80 fish! If you are a lover of spot, definitely go with Bunky's. Another boat anchored next to us and was catching as well but they charge more, almost 50% more and I have no clue why. . . . Glad I went with Bunky's. I'm more of a game fisher myself so when there is an opportunity for them I'll be back.

My buddy booked a rock fishing trip for 10/24/2025. The pros. Spacious boat, good mate, prompt…read moredeparture from the dock. The cons. There is a one fish limit on rock fish. There were three of us on the boat. We caught three keepers and still had 2+ hours remaining on the 6-hour charter. The captain alerted the mate to pull in the gear even though we could've caught two more fish (one for the captain, one for the mate). There was no gear on the boat to target other fish. The mate told us there is no catch and release. We were back at the dock at 10:15....chartered the boat til noon. Mate informed us that last weekend the group limited out and was back at the dock at 8:30. Bottom line, if you book a 6 or 8 hour trip, you're only fishing as long as it takes to get your one fish per person, then you're done.
