Due to health reasons I was seeking a salon that offered a natural solution for hair coloring. They were so friendly and understanding as I explained my situation so I was willing to make the drive to try henna hair coloring. The process seemed to take the same amount of time or faster but it did seem like it dried faster so it was easy to miss some spots. It doesn't sting or have any strong chemical smell. I wasn't trying to get perfect coverage, I just wanted something better than my current look of 8 months of roots growing out. The texture and appearance isn't as vibrant as you get with the traditional coloring process but, like I said, I needed a natural solution. For what I needed, it was GREAT and even better, it costs WAY less! It might be more if you have longer or thicker hair but mine was only $60 for full color! I go for multiple services such as brazilian waxing, underarm waxing, and eyebrow/upper lip threading. She has also cut/trim my hair whenever I needed some of my dead ends cut and she never cuts more than what I ask her to. With the prices of many salons increasing, I get all of the services for less than $80 which is the cost of one brazilian wax today. Came here for the second time this afternoon and my experience was completely different from the first (years ago). Right when I walked in I was greeted, asked to sign in, and taken to the first station. The lady doing my eyebrows was super friendly and fast. It's hard trying to shape your brows at home lol I always give her a call beforehand to see if she's busy and if it's a good time to head over. She's really nice and obviously knows what she's doing. I went to Indu Threading and got my eyebrows threaded. When I got there, I was seated and waited about 5 minutes, which is a short amount of time, to get my eyebrows fixed. There were only a couple people there so it didn't take long to get my service. I was given service to by a woman, and her name started with the letter K, but I don't know her name. She threaded my eyebrows in about 3 minutes. The threading was quite painful, but once she had finished, I loved my overall look! She then gave me lotion on my eyebrows to calm the pain and redness and gave me a stamp card. Overall, the wait time was short, the lady was incredibly kind, she threaded my eyebrows perfectly, and gave me the best service! I've had a lot of bad luck with threading salons so I'm always very cautious about where I go. I enjoyed my experience today at Indu. I showed up and was lucky enough to be seated right away. The young lady who did my eyebrows was very careful and even let me know I had a spot that was on the thinner side and should try to grow it out. She also threaded my upper lip and although that's always a somewhat painful process I was impressed that my upper lip wasn't red when I left. This review is way overdue. I used to drive to Cerritos to get my eyebrows done but after a bad experience I was ready to try a new spot. Saw this place was close to my house and I'm SO HAPPY I came here. Let's face it, there is no such thing as a 100% painless eyebrow threading but this is the gentlest most painless spot I've ever been too period. The girls here are pros and they really try hard to make the experience as gentle as possible constantly checking in to see if you're okay. Pallavi is so welcoming and inviting it's a joy to see her. I once called to see what time they closed and I was like oh nevermind I would get there a minute before closing and she was so sweet and said come it's okay! Because there's only one lady who runs this place, you might have a small wait, which in my opinion is worth it if I come out of there satisfied with my eyebrows. My boyfriend pointed this place out recently on one of our outings to Johnnie's in the same plaza. It was just what I was looking for--an affordable threading place in the area so I didn't have to make a trek out to Pioneer. I was nervous at first to try it out because of the lack of reviews for this place. The lady who did my brows was very gentle with me and gave me a nice brow massage afterward. The work was great and detailed. I am happy to say that I've found my threading place in the OC now! The normal price of eyebrow threading is $6.99, and is a steal on Sundays at $4.99. So after my great experience getting threaded here, I decided to come in to get a brazilian wax (called a full bikini wax here) for bikini season. I had the privilege of meeting Indu, who is an absolute sweetheart. Let me tell you--she is QUICK and made me feel super comfortable. The process was relatively painless and the job was really clean. A friendly, service-oriented, quality threading salon in La Palma! I'm an avid Yelper and usually base my first-time decisions on the quantity and quality of an establishment's Yelp reviews. However, Kathleen's review below seemed unbiased and won me over as I reallyyy didn't want to make the 20-minute drive over to my usual threading salon. Suffice to say, this will be my usual threading salon from now on! Hours are Monday - Thursday (10AM-7PM), Friday - Saturday (10AM-8PM), and Sunday (10AM-6PM). When you enter, you pass three salon chairs and go to the front desk where there's a sign-in book for you to write your name and the services you'll be needing during your visit. If you look on the website, there are two ladies and a teenage girl pictured in front of the store -- the younger, slimmer lady (Krishna) called me over and worked on my eyebrows. The process took about 15 minutes and Krishna was VERY thorough and detailed. Given that this was my first visit and that the business had recently opened, I was skeptical and worried that my eyebrows would be misshapen or too thin and kept telling Krishna to keep the natural shape and just clean up the brows... she just smiled and told me to close my eyes. Krishna would constantly look to make sure that the brows were even and if not, make some adjustments here and there as well as get rid of the baby hairs in between and on the side of the brows. At the end of the threading, she even lathered lotion on my eyebrow area and gave a really soothing massage to finish the job! Note, the website has a $3.99 eyebrow threading coupon that I asked the workers about and apparently, that is only good on Sundays. Womp womp. That's okay though because until 9/30/2013, eyebrow threading is only $4.99! Also, please don't forget to tip!!! I am VERY picky when it comes to eyebrow threading which makes it hard for me to find the right place. I usually get my eyebrows done near work but my girl went on maternity leave.
