I've been growing out my eyebrows since the beginning of the year to get the thickness I want and the lady working ruined all my efforts this past year in a matter of minutes. She said the usual "jst a clean up" and I said yes. But what I mean was clean up the hairs that look like they are growing in. Not my long hairs that have been there for years and are clearly making the shape of my brow. Needless to say my brows are almost non existent. Call me dramatic, but I don't care, I spent so much time trying to get the brows I HAD and now every time I look in the mirror i jst want to cry. At least she didn't make me pay when I told her I hated them, cause there's no way I would have paid for this. I've come here on and off for almost two years just because it's close and convenient. I see all the reviews are pretty old. I was a bit nervous to come since they are all bad but I live really close and sometimes reviews are crap anyways. I have to say that since I moved from the SouthBay, years ago, I have not found a threading place I liked. I would drive all the way back to Torrance. I have tried a few with good reviews and they just weren't for me. I did my eyebrows and face, no breakouts like other posts. I thought she did great! I will definitely be coming back. read more

I would definitely never come back here. I hadn't intended on coming here in the first place but I was already at the mall runnings errands so I figured I'd kill two birds with one stone. It was really awkward inside, there's a man standing over a register who just smiles and says nothing haha. You sign in and specify what you want. Then you get seated and you have to tell the lady what you want done (not that you didn't already write it on the check in paper or anything like that). Her hands reeked of whatever she had for lunch I'm guessing she didn't know English because when she wanted me to do something she'd just grunt at me and tap my head. It was so painful and she kept snapping thread in my face. After the torture was over the strange man smiles at you and takes your money without saying anything at all. Aftermath: I broke out into a really bad rash because either the place was unsanitary or the lady did it so rough that it cut my skin. Either way, definitely not ever coming back here again. read more

I have been coming here for 3 years now. Never had a problem even if it's different girls everytime I go in, no problem. Until lately this young girl I don't know her name, but she looks like the youngest and new. She cut my eyelid twice! She does it fast and rough that's why it did cut me. IF YOU WANT TO TRY THIS PLACE AVOID THE OLDER LADY AT ALL COSTS!!! This place is inside the buena park mall. This is my second time trying this place. The first time I got a younger girl who did a decent job. BUT!!! this time I got a somewhat older lady to do just my lip. Did a HORRIBLE job. So aggressive and doesn't pay attention to detail what's so ever. Hit my cheek the whole time b/c she was going so fast and aggressive & even leaving cut marks (and they where not even busy - no one waiting after me). I had my lip done before and its not pleasant but this was by far the most painful experience. I had to ask her to switch the thread for me b/c she was about to use the same thread that she had used on the previous customer (very dangerous). I should have just left then and there!! Also, this is my moms usual place and she always complains about the painful experience. I thought she just can't tolerate pain and was exaggerating. But after confirming with her that it was the same lady that causes her pain, I totally understand where she is coming from. read more

I had never had threading done but this place came with recommendations from two co workers so I thought I would give it a whirl. Omi Salon is located in the mall next to the Wal-Mart entrance. It's just a small store front with a few chairs and usually one gal working. It's clean and the service was very nice. The gal simply cleaned up my unruly brows for $8.00. After 8 services you get one free. They also offer waxing and facials all for reasonable pricing. It wasn't as quick as waxing but not as painful either. I'll give it another go before I decide on threading. read more

The lady cut my bf with the string and left my eyebrows super thin I've been here in the past sad thing is they are getting lazy becasue before they used to do a good job. I've had my eyebrows threaded for at least ten years and at many, many different places, but this is the first time ever that they got screwed up. I always say the same thing: "Leave them thicker" and today was the first time ever that my instruction needed clarification. "You mean just clean them up?" she asked with a trace of annoyance. Uhhhh, ok. I've never heard it put that way but fine. But it wasn't fine. I left there with one eyebrow much thicker than the other. She kept getting annoyed with how I put my fingers and jerking my head upward. It also took forever. While I'm used to the irritation that occurs afterward, usually it calms down an hour later. But after this place they remained irritated ten hours later. read more

This place is one of the worst places you can get your eyebrows done at. When I got mine done here you are like their least priority. They literally did not ask me what I wanted instead they just started on my eyebrows and when I told the lady she just said "okay, okay" and I just wanted them cleaned. I look in the mirror and they are so uneven and she made them so thin and I don't know what the rush was about since I was the only one in there. Anyways just all bad service in general and I'm not very sure why they are working at a threading salon when they don't know how to get the job done correctly. read more

If there was a zero star option I would give it. Have been going for about a year now and recently they have started to get sloppy. Today was the final straw though. I went and it was completely empty so I saw no need to rush and was expecting the lady to take her time. Instead she rushed as if she had a room full of waiting people, cut my eyebrow short and pulled a few of my eyelashes out. At first I didn't notice but once I had got into my car I had realized there was a sizable chuck of my eyelashes missing on the inner corner. I have excused their sloppy work before as them just being busy, but today was out of absolute laziness. I will be finding a new place as soon as my eyebrows grow out. read more

Ive been coming here for over 2 years and each woman does a great job on my eyebrows and they are so sweet! I have never had any issues and am always leave very pleased with my brows. Their price is good, the place is clean and its located inside of a mall with a walmart so you can get errands done and do a little shopping for yourself! read more

I like the younger lady here. She talked to you and made you feel comfortable. The rest of them just make eye contacts to each other worker passing you around, as if they didn't want to work. I definitely started breaking out on my eyebrows. read more

horrible experience. could never keep my brows even, even if I grew them out for 3 months. they used to be full & had lots of hair to shape but she threaded them super thin & uneven. very upsetting. i've been going to this place since high school with no problem w the old workers. but the new, younger workers are the reason why i'm NEVER going back to this place. the girl that threaded my brows look annoyed because there was a little rush. I said just a clean up without ruining the shape & she worked on my brows FAST, not even taking time on it. that's why they came out to a whole new shape & size. Nahhhhhhhhh. I wouldn't come here again. The older lady was rude, she just stares. and when she did my eyebrows she would just push my head side to side, Instead of telling me or lightly tapping. RUDE! she didn't even let me see the mirror to check if I liked it before she put the moisturizer on. I had to ask to see them for myself. and she just looks at me like "excuse me I know what I'm doing" look. So when i looked in the mirror, I didn't really see any hairs. but when I got to my car i still saw a few strays of hair! and my eyelid had a rash -_____- I've done threading a million times. and I only like it at Kaya in brea! this place also charged me 13 for lip & eyebrow. expensive for no quality care. read more

My experience was Horrible, The lady was hurting my eye with the string while she was threading my eyebrow. I said ouch then she hurried and finished me up. she didn't finish doing my left eyebrow, My eyebrows were uneven. Also she was too busy talking to the other girl that was there. they were talking in there language which it made me feel like they were talking about me... I've been to this location twice now. The first time, it went well. The second time? Not so much... I got an order lady my second visit. Usually, wherever I get my brows threaded, they just clean up the area around my eyebrows -- not COMPLETELY take off the color fill I just did. I asked for a simple clean-up and she ended up making one of my brows waaaay thinner than the other. I left very saddened and I still had to walk around the mall with my unfilled and crooked brows :( To this day, I'm still trying to fill the thin brow to match up with the thicker one. read more

Horrible will never go back .... this lady made one of my eyebrows all deformed and one is shorter then the other. I told the lady they dont look the same. she kept wanting to cut my eyebrows more I said no just leave it. So she said ok it's 8 dollars . I said well u messed up my eyebrows that's how much it is? So the older lady looked at my eyebrows and said yea she cut too much but they will grow back its ok. That's not what I wanted to hear ! It took long enough to get my brows to grow and she tells me it's ok. I was so irritated with them. I really like this place. The first time I got them done was back in August and I was truly pleased with what I got they were shaped perfectly and done well with minor pain. The second time, a different lady did it and I did not like it. They came out to thick and were not shaped the same and she cause more pain this time. I live pretty far from Buena Park and travel to get my eyebrows done there because no other place has done them as good. It just depends on who you go with but overall they are pretty good and have left my friends eyebrows looming great too. read more

WORST PLACE EVER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! My sister & I stopped by to get our eyebrows done, & couldnt believe that we still had to pay for the service after we left looking like 2 clowns from Circus Circus!!! not only was the older lady spitting on my face while she gossiped the ENTIRE time she was doing my eyebrows, but she worked on me for a total of 2 1/2 minutes! She did a horrific beginner job, & from the moment she man-handled my face with her heavy hands, i knew it wasnt going to be pretty. My sister had her eyebrows cut SOO obviously wrong after the threading, that she forcefully had to stop by the walmart to buy an eyebrow pencil to fill in the gaps!!
