This is my first experience in a vape shop in Indianapolis, and follows the typical motif of the vape shops in Cincy, usually in a strip mall with a bunch of onlookers wondering what everyone is doing in there. Especially when people come out and use their pieces right away, but that's another arrival entirely. Knowing that most stores like to carry their own brands, I checked them out online first. Let me say that I'm not a vape aficionado by any means and I only smoke tobacco flavored products, preferably Halo brand. Since I was completely out of juice and just placed a mail order directly from halo, I called ahead and they said they carried my Torque 56/18mg in the 30ml. So I headed right from Saturday work (that should be illegal btw) and walked in smiling. There were about 6 people in the store poking around, and I got my juice and some extra heads. The one thing I did notice in the store was the sheer selection, good god, I could have been in there all day!! I did sample the Five pawns line which is so premium it is displayed on a chessboard with a mini bourbon barrel to dispense the juice. That was an eye-opener to see vape juice treated like fine bourbon. Like I said, I stick which what I like, and they have everything!! Since 2010, Indy Vapor Shop has been Indianapolis' premier electronic cigarette retailer and hub of the *vaping community. The business is owned and operated by the same folks as Mike's Coin Shop, to where it sat adjacent prior to October 2013. Due to the increasing size of its business and customer base, the Indy Vapor Shop moved to 4930 Lafayette Road (which is in the same strip mall as Eagle Creek Liquors). The move was quite necessary, as lines would often be out-the-door at the previous location. Parking at the old location was difficult and problematic. All of these issues have been firmly resolved at the new location. The Indy Vapor Shop is huge! It features a large sales floor, complete with a sampling bar. The sampling bar may be the most positive aspect of the new store. *Vapers will no longer need to gamble on not liking a particular flavor of *e-juice--as nearly every flavor sold is available to be sampled prior to purchase. This has become increasingly important as more expensive, premium juices have become popular. You don't even need own an electronic cigarette to enjoy the sampling bar. They have house batteries and Kanger tanks for the prospective vaper. It is also completely sanitary as disposable tips are readily available for use. To begin vaping, you need to have the correct supplies. Don't settle for the rubbish that is sold at gas stations. You'll find that quality vaping hardware (made by JoyE, Kanger, etc) does not have to be an expensive investment. The Indy Vapor shop carries a very wide-array of e-juices and vaping supplies. If economy is your motive for vaping, Indy Vapor Shop's "house" blends may just the thing for which you are looking. The standard "house" blends are manufactured in China, but the gourmet blends are American made. To my knowledge, the Indy Vapor Shop does not actually mix any of the juices. Personally, I used the Chinese-made juices for years. They taste just fine and are very inexpensive. If American-made quality is your fancy, the Indy Vapor Shop carries many premium e-juices from companies like Halo, Vermillion River, Wicked Good, and the coveted Five Pawns. If mixing your own e-juices is your forte, the Indy Vapor Shop carries everything you need. If you want to hang out, the Indy Vapor Shop has a one-of-a-kind vaping lounge--complete with a vending machine and flat screen television. The vaping lounge is a perfect way to enjoy your most recent purchase, as well as a means to get acquainted with other vapers. Ditch the cigarettes; they're nasty. I went to their old location a few years ago to get my husband a kit for his birthday. This location is a vast improvement! Bright, open and airy, with several comfy chairs (I assume for bored non-vapers like me). The guys were really friendly and helpful, and there's even a Yelp freebie (a "wallet" with check-in). They seem to have a big selection of liquid? Flavors? Whatever the term is? There is also an area where you can sample. (Not sure how that works.) The location is in a strip mall across from a Speedway gas station -- it's easy to miss the turn. We had to turn around and come back in order to get there. We came all the way up Lafayette from downtown but it's right off of 65. Duh. read more

Indy Vapor Shop is a great place to get your smoking needs satisfied. I've been here a couple times. The location is incredibly convenient, right by 65 and Lafayette. The staff has always been so helpful in finding the right vaporizer and flavors, especially for someone like me who is new to the vapor game. The interior is well-lighted and welcoming. This will be my first review on a vape shop. This shop is located within a small strip mall in between a Mexican restaurant and a liquor store. When I entered the store I was surprised to see how big it was. To the left of the entrance was a lounge area which was well kept and clean, to the right was the e-juice bar, and straight ahead was the register and display cases. I saw that the associate on duty, a young fellow, at the time was helping another customer so I took some time to look at the display cases. Within the cases was a well stocked variety of hardware from batteries and mods to clearomizers and atomizers tanks. They even had a section of on sale items. Another associate, an older gentleman, came onto the floor and greeted me but went back to doing what it was he was working on When the associate was free, he did not approach me. right away. He seemed to be very hesitant. When he did approach me he did not great me nor did he ask what it was I was looking for or if I needed help with anything. However, when I asked him a couple of questions on some tanks and mods he was very helpful and knowledgeable about the products he was selling. After discussing the mods and tanks I went to try out the stores e-juice bar. I was very impressed with the number of e-juices they had to offer and the way that they were presented. The bar even had pen pads to write down which juices you favored. Unfortunately, after spending around 30 minutes of tasting the juices I found that of the some 30+ juices only five took an interest for my palate. I also noticed that a majority of the tanks were sticky and low on juice. One of the tanks was completely empty and I got a mouthful of burnt plastic wick. YUCK! I also noticed that while the juices were reasonably priced the vast majority did not come in nicotine strengths less than 12 and 24 mgs. This can be a problem for those who are using vapes to wen off smoking cigarettes. I did see that they had a variety of flavor bottles in which to make your own juices and a suggestion box on how to make the store better for you as a customer. After I was done trying the juices the had to offer I went back to the sale case to wait on an associate since the young one was busy with other customers. While I was waiting a woman was walking back and forth behind the display case. After waiting a while and not being helped I asked the woman for some assistance on seeing some personalized drip tips. She too seemed hesitant at first but new her stuff on what it was she was selling. This store does have a rewards program were after you spend so much you get a stamp on a business card which you will receive after your checkout. After five stamps you can enter for a monthly drawing for a chance to win $100 in store credit. I spent close to an hour in this store and noticed that it has a lot of regular customers from the area that seem to give it that friendly neighborhood ma and pa store vibe with the customers and employees speaking to one another as if they were long time pals. I enjoyed my stay and if I lived closer I would most likely visit more often, but due to the lack of enjoyable flavors and customer service I can only give this store 3 out of 5 stars. read more

They had a very wide selection of e-liquid/juice but the main problem is almost all of there selection comes from cheap companies that don't make a very impressive product. After spending about 20 minutes in there testing flavors I wasn't asked once if i needed any help nor did they make any effort to assist me at all. I fail to understand how some customers have a negative experience with Indy Vapor Shop. I consider myself a veteran on every level of the Vapor Industry, and have been at several shops around town - none compare with the selection, service, reliability, and standing by their product. I was one of the first customers when this shop opened and it has never failed me at any level. Sounds like a lot of bluster from a rude customer. I went in today because I couldn't get my battery to charge. I took the charger and battery to the clerk thinking it must be the charger because the battery was only a few weeks old. They checked both charger and battery and promptly exchanged the battery. I had fully expected to pay for the part, and was blown away with the free exchange. I always recommend this shop to my friends and will continue to do so. Do yourself a favor and go there first, you'll keep going back. Thanks guys! read more

it is a nice clean shop but get ready to get price gouged , My SVD 2.0 was on the friz so I get on line looking for a cheep replacement . I see that they have vamo cool . I drive from the south side of indy way up north to get their only to find that they had no vamos in stock , great ... so I had to have something so I bought a eleaf 20w for 45 bucks . I get it home and pop back online only to find that for the same money I could have bought a eleaf 50 watt . Emailed them about it got some brush off reply and they said I could return it IF it was unused . woopie doo ! Could have offered at least a 5 dollor coupon or something .
