It's busy, too busy to be fully beneficial when it takes 3 months to have someone assessed or reassessed if you have concerns about your diagnosis or current progress (or lack of). Don't stay too long if you aren't fully getting the support you need. Be careful if you need help navigating special services as they don't make those known. When you begin to question why things aren't changing, they use the mentality "what is the patient doing wrong or what is the patient not doing." I would not recommend services here. Unfortunately there are few options for younger kids with mental heath issues. I had thought this agency was a good fit but should have questioned more sooner as much time and money was wasted.

Rude, aggressive agency CNAs from out of state screaming at a woman in a wheelchair with a single staff member shielding the resident trying to get the CNAs to leave. "Corporate" LPN documentation of treatments without actually doing it... reported to DON & not addressed other than to ask the incoming evening LPN to complete that previous LPN's wound care? No disciplinary action stating the LPN is "corporate" and allowed to return despite manager requests to reassign elsewhere. Non-responsive housekeeping to requests & overhead pages. Complaints to leadership of safety & practice concerns unresolved. Profits over Compassion. End of life care is unconscionable in my opinion here. To be fair, there are 3 caring, empathetic nurses working at this large facility. Call bells not answered in a timely manner. This is a very sad situation.

I had a broiled Seabass this evening with finger potatoes and roasted carrots, French onion soup and French vanilla ice cream that I would swear came out of a gourmet kitchen. There was a full bar in the Acacia Village complex with a surprising assortment of beer, wine and spirits. The residents of these various facilities seem authentically happy and there is plenty to do. I got to check out hydroponic greenhouses, a library, two different chapels, fitness centers and some historic sites in addition to a number of walking trails. I know many people here, although it is only my second time visiting. When it comes time for me to retire, I will strongly consider this magnificent facility.
