He initially gave me a recommendation to one in the city but because it was too far, I decided to look somewhere near me and found Pan S. Ko. I regret making an appointment here.. He was very unsympathetic and not professional. I explained to him what I've been dealing with the past months and he just looked at me with confusion. Instead of being really concerned and writing notes, he seemed more interested on other papers. As I was speaking, his phone rang.. and he immediately picked up without saying "Excuse me.." and I just got the sign to stop talking. Dr. Pan Ko seemed only interested on how I found him. He asked me if someone recommended him to me and I explained that I found him online because my primary doctor insisted that I should go see a infectious disease doctor. He only seemed to care which doctor it was... He took me into a different room to take my blood out.. it took him 2 tries to actually find a vein and take blood out. It was very unpleasant for me to see him trembling and it just seemed that he had no idea what he was doing... pretty nerve racking to me.... ALSO, The office was dead and .. a lot of signs that I couldn't take this place seriously. The receptionist did my blood pressure and it took her about 15 minutes to get the machine going.. until she realized she was doing it the wrong way. I came here because of the reviews... but it seems to be far from real. If you have a urgent matter like I do, do not come here. It'll be a waste of your time and money.

He put me on IV antibiotics, and they did the trick. Thanks to Ko I still have my toe! Two years later I had an abscess on the side of my knee. Dr. Ko directed me to enter the hospital, where I was treated successfully and avoided an operation. Even in matters of urgency, Dr. Ko has a calming effect on me. He has two convenient locations (Englewood Cliffs & Westwood) and he sees his patients promptly, with never a long wait.

If you can't actually get the things you need and were promised after an appt then a good doctor is useless. Also they should not be having multiple people in waiting rooms during a pandemic without upgraded air filtration and N95 masks required. Very unsafe. I waited close to eight months before finally receiving a call and I was genuinely excited. I completed the long phone intake without hesitation because I truly believed this would be the beginning of consistent, personalized care. On the day of my appointment, I arrived on time and was seen by a Nurse Practitioner who was very thorough. I completed blood work, urine testing, an EKG the full workup. I was told I would receive a follow-up call with my results. At no point during that visit did I see Dr. Cadoo. I assumed perhaps she would come in later, but that never happened. When it came time for my follow-up, I was informed that the Nurse Practitioner I originally saw was no longer there, and I would now be speaking with another Nurse Practitioner. Again, I was understanding. However, once more, I did not see or speak with Dr. Cadoo. I was referred out, but without ever having had a direct interaction with the physician whose practice I had waited months to access. I want to be clear I am not unfamiliar with healthcare. I have over 25 years in the medical field, so I fully understand how practices operate, the role of Nurse Practitioners, and the demands of running a successful brand. I respect that Dr. Cadoo has built something impactful, and I even admire the balance of family and career that many providers strive for. However, at some point, patients need to meet their doctor--especially after such a long wait. If new patients are continuously brought in but never actually seen by the physician, it raises concerns. The frequent staff turnover also felt unsettling, particularly when it comes to continuity of care. This is not about convenience or a casual visit--this is my health. I'm not looking for a place to "check in" every now and then. I'm looking for a provider relationship built on trust, presence, and consistency. I truly wish the practice continued success, but unfortunately, this experience did not meet my expectations as a patient.
