We recently had to store some items for 3 months and chose Infinite Self Storage on 18th Street in La Porte. We were very satisfied with the location, the fact that it was secured with an electronic gate and code, lighted and the unit was perfect. This started out as a fine storage facility . They have raised the storage fees $10.00 a month every year for 3 years. This year it has been raised $14 a month. I haven't had a working light/ timer/ turn knob on timer in the entire time I've rented despite repeated requests. Auto pay ceased to work, according to the office, because "chips were put into credit cards and the system couldn't accept them". So now it was a personal monthly payment. Then that stopped and now it's an outside us sheltered kiosk by the units with a call button for " help at any time" that never works. This is a climate controlled unit that has has a hole in the exterior door to building that has been growing like a cancer. Now it is open on the entire bottom half of the door, with the honeycomb ironwork interior in the door fully exposed. Wrote an extensive email to corporate, no courtesy of a reply, but did receive an immediate letter of rate increase of $14 per month. Research into other facilities.......there HAS to be better! read more
