They have a mini fridge available with waters in the waiting room and a coffee station. Once called back, the appointment felt rushed. I had imaging done and then had a 2-3 minute interaction with Dr. Max. There was no discussion of options, risks, etc. I was prescribed an antibiotic and told to schedule the next two appointments for root canal retreatment. I was a bit disoriented. I did as asked but eventually cancelled those two follow up appointments and scheduled with a different practice with more time for patient care and education.

I saw my oral surgeon this morning, before seeing Dr. Max, and the surgeon told me that Dr. Max contacted him asking for his 2nd opinion on a questionable area around the tooth he was treating (not his root canal), and Dr. Max told me that he also discussed that area with my general dentist. Now that's a true CARE, isn't it? But perhaps I shouldn't marvel why Dr. Max is so exceptionally caring and instead marvel why not all dentists and doctors are this way, since doctors are supposed to care for and about their patients and put their interests first. The actual process took a few hours but other than that everything was fine. That was until the billing nightmares. I was harassed on my work phone where the billing coordinator told my coworker "Please have Christine call Accurate Endodontics back as she owes us money" (which I didn't owe them anything). I was processed under the wrong name with insurance. So I paid OVER what I actually owed for the entire procedure the same day at the office. I didn't owe them anything and I actually overpaid because they used the wrong percentage to estimate my total. They actually owed me! (I had to do the math with Linda multiple times over the phone- it was horrendous). Long story short Linda was trying to come after me for an additional $30 and then "billing/late fees" totaling around $100. Honestly the story doesn't even matter. I had multiple 30 minute phone calls with Linda, yes this is the owner and person who did my root canal, arguing with me and uses phrases such as "This is FUBAR" and telling me I was in the wrong. I didn't give her wrong information for my insurance yet she was still attacking me because I was processed under a different person who had worse insurance than me. I even had a coworker sit in to witness a phone call with her and after she was IN SHOCK by how Linda was speaking to me. She also lied and tried saying I signed some wavier about "mad cow disease and something overseas in France" and I still had to pay an additional $50 for that. So after the "$50" she only owed me $10. So I asked her to mail me the agreement I signed, she never did (because it was a lie). In the end she paid me the $60 that I overpaid from the beginning. Personally I just felt attacked over something I had zero control over. Worst experience ever.

I had my visit last Thursday afternoon. Friday - Sunday, able to mask trauma pain with Excedrin Migraine. Though, C'mon doc, could have used a couple T3's for Friday and Saturday. Anyways, today is Monday, still some very mild touch ?Pain? but feel much better. Overall, pain free experience in procedure and Aspirin covered the pain post procedure. We just got back from an appointment with them and I thought I'd report back. Not a great experience. Dr Pree was nice and the blond hygienist was kind but 2 things were very wrong. First was the policy they have of not letting parents back with their kids. I was told it was just during X-rays. But they did one of my son's cleanings without coming to get me. It was only when it was taking a loooooong time that I went back. The receptionist used her body to try to block me but I went right passed not taking no for an answer. You may think this sounds unreasonable but my sons(twins) were premature which means their baby teeth have needed some work. They are very nervous about going to the dentist because of that so they want me to be with them. And I promised them I would be. I didn't know when I made appointments that the policy was to not let parents do that, even I was told, if kids have medical anxiety from being going to many hospital, Doctor and dental visits, like mine. (One of my boys was tested for almost 3 years for a brain tumor.) Really bad policy. When I went back I was told I wasn't allowed to be back there. ("not enough room" -there was the standard amount.) I stayed. I was talking to another mom in the waiting room. Just chit chat about the book she was reading. She then began to share that her daughter had some bad experiences with All kids (Medicaid) dentists in the past and she wanted to be with her daughter too. Her daughter was there to get a filling. They told her she couldn't go back and by the time her daughter came out the mom was in tears with worry. I've heard stories about people who have AllKids, which we used to have but don't anymore, not being able to go back and kids screaming and having bruised gums after, not using sufficient anesthesia for wisdom teeth removal etc. (I'm guessing the insurance will only pay for certain kinds.) but I didn't know this was their policy and they didn't volunteer the information when I made appointments for our entire family. On my way out I verified that this was indeed their policy for any kind of work they do other than cleanings and cancelled the appointments I'd made for my husband and myself for later in the month. The second problem was that one of the nurses was very rude. She gave me attitude from the second I put my foot down. (The other nurse and the Doctor herself did not. They understood where I was coming from and that I promised my kids.) I found out after that she rolled her eyes at both of my boys when they were getting X-rays and when my son accidentally bit her finger slightly because she wanted him to bite down with her fingers holding the slides in his mouth. He's such a sweetheart and felt really bad. My other son said she murmured "oh my god" under her breath and rolled her eyes when one of the slides cut his gum and he pulled back. Life is too short to deal with these kinds of people. Not going back. Again to be fair the blonde hygienist and Dr Pree tried really hard to make the boys feel safe and calm. They were kind and patient.Also the receptionist who tried to block me was also kind and just doing her job. At the end when we were on our way out she told me she understood and I could see she disagreed with the policy herself.
