Nestled below a few steps off Spring Garden Road, this jewelry shop requires an extra glance to notice its there. The steps are deep, so be warned--I can see them being tricky for some. Visitors need to press the buzz to get inside, and its immediately obvious that this place isn't for tooting around. Teeny-tiny, but elegantly stated. The exposed brick wall and open workshop give Fawcett's its own hands-on personality. The goldsmith, Blaine, welcomed me kindly and was very helpful in giving me the shop scoop. While the show room displays mainly engagement rings, formal bands and the like, the business is built on custom designed jewelry. Everything is made right here in the shop, behind a wall divider, so as the goldsmith works, you can roam the shop and see him go. Its a different experience, and I liked it. The jewels are too rich for my blood, but maybe some day. Blaine mentioned that they were branching out with some newer and lower price range product, so don't let price stop you from going in for a peek. I obviously didn't work as closely with them as he did, but in my dealings with them since then they have been nothing but polite and sincere - I think they like my ring even more than I do! Re-sizing was free and we are now working on designs for a band to go with my ring. The only thing I can't comment on here is price - my guy refuses to disclose what he spent, but I would imagine it was a lot based on the quality of the stones and the gold work. Pricing is not for the faint of heart, but what you get is quality and craftsmanship. There is no rhodium plating here - you get the real deal. The customer service is also excellent, particularly when contrasted with the service of chain stores.

AVOID THIS PLACE!!! Brought a nice watch in for a simple battery change. The young tech ( if you…read morecan call them that) had a hard time removing the back of the watch and a really tough time putting it back on the watch ( after breaking the gasket and a very exerted effort he forced it on). Both my wife and I just looked at each other in disbelief. When I got home I went to reset the calibration of the watch ( time/date/month/year etc..) and the watch's stem comes right out of the watch into my hand! I couldn't believe it but wasn't surprised considering what I had witnessed at the store. I went back the next day to bring this to their attention and their salesperson Brody who was very rude and accused me of breaking it. They took no responsibility at all and in fact pretty much called me a liar. Brody displayed his rude and poor customer service skills in front of many customers this day...I was truly embarrassed. He finally said that he would send the watch to the service center for an estimate to see what we were up against repair wise .....350$ to fix it! When he called me with the news he was once again confrontational and refused to fix my watch at their expense. I even offered to meet them halfway and he refused again claiming that I broke the watch. I then escalated the matter to the owner/ operator Josh Ellner. I arranged to meet him at his Bedford location. When I arrived and asked to speak to him it was obvious to me that he had already been apprised of the watch and the situation beforehand by Brody and he was already defensive and had no intention of hearing me out. No matter what I said he was not going to take responsibility for his staff and the damage they had caused. Terrible business sense and horrific customer service. This turned out to be a very expensive battery replacement!! STAY CLEAR OF THIS PLACE!!!!! THEY ARE WILLING TO TAKE YOUR MONEY AND TALK A GOOD SCHTICK BUT UNWILLING TO SUPPORT THEIR CUSTOMERS WHEN PUSH COMES TO SHOVE. THEY HAVE NO RESPECT FOR YOU OR YOUR PROPERTY!! Rating should be zero stars. (also, their batteries don't last as long as from other places...you get what you pay for I guess) I will never trust my precious watches to these incompetents again and I strongly encourage you to do the same.

They have a wonderful selection, there is literally something for everyone here. There are modern pieces, a small selection of estate jewellery, more classics or boho type pieces, and even a small selection for men. There is also a huge price range which is nice, many affordable pieces in the $50-100 range and also some precious stones and metals in the $500 + range. If you love jewellery or are looking for a special gift for someone, you won't leave here empty handed!

What I mean is that not only do the sell jewelry as well as Estate Jewelry they will customer design and create some of the most unique and exquisite designs that you will see. I love to go in and look in the counters and glass cases to get some ideas. As well they are able to repair your jewelry as well. This place is an awful representation of a Rolex AD. My friend emailed them to inquire about a…read moreRolex and of course they were told there was a waitlist. That part is normal. Then Don decided to email him back saying he could move him up on the list if he bought an engagement ring or had one made for almost 100k. My friend wants to buy a 15k watch. This place is horrible. Luckily the emails have been posted on Rolex forums and another AD has sent them to their Rolex contact. Hopefully this place loses their AD status because this is just a horrible practice.
