My mom went to the King's Daughters ER last month. She stated she was having trouble breathing…read more They found out her potassium was too high and was causing cardiac arrest. They had to do CPR to bring her back to us. And I will forever be grateful to God and the ones who performed CPR! They kept her in intensive care for two days then moved her to a regular room. She went to the ER on Monday and I came into town Thursday. My mom has dementia and they were treating her as if she was unable to get out of bed. But before she went in the hospital she was mobile. But she had been laying in the hospital bed for three days and had become very weak. I became her advocate without realizing it and not long after arriving my first day I asked her nurse to help me get her to the bathroom. That was the beginning of her recovery. I visited every day while I was in town for five days. And stayed for most of the day into the evening. I got to know several of the nurses as well as her doctor and case manager. I would like to thank her wonderful nurses Debbie, Kim and Tiffany, her case manager, Deanna, and her doctor, Dr Khoudoud. All the staff I encountered seemed to truly care about my Mom. Dr Khoudoud would spend at least 20 minutes with me and my Dad daily answering our questions and updating us about her overall health. I'm so thankful my Dad took her to King's Daughters Hospital!!!

As yet I am not able to uncover the name of the nurse responsible for setting off a chain of…read moreunwarranted false "medical emergency" which set our household into a panic causing severe emotional distress. When I do, I will report her to the State Medical Board, her supervisor, and anyone else I can find to report this person to. When my labs came in my creatinine score was slightly elevated, up to 1.5 from 1.4. But whoever saw this called after 6:00 p.m.that same evening to demand I go to urgent care. This person was so concerned that she demanded to know if she needed to call an ambulance for me. I kept assuring her I felt fine. Where did this person get her medical training? Facebook? But my wife was now concerned and drove me to urgent care, where I was told that yes the creatinine was slightly up from the last visit, but there was certainly no medical emergency. The urgent care doctor we saw is on record as stating this and will be used to verify my claims and my assertion that whoever created this is totally incompetent and should be severely reprimanded. My primary care doctors are also aware of this incident. All this is in my record. Incredibly, not one medical professional has voiced any concern about this. I emailed this complaint to the Kings Daughters Patient Representative, but got a non response. I want two things, The name of that nurse that set off that fake emergency so that #2 I may proceed with my complaint to the State Medical Board.

He called cops on me so while I'm having a widow maker heart attack I had to speak to cops on top of everything They got me admitted n into room where things were better until grayhair nurse started with finger n she stomped out room saying he didn't get paid enough to paid enough to put up with this. I took my son in this evening because he was the last member of our family to get pink eye. I…read morethought we could get the same medication that worked for myself, my husband and my other son. When my other son came down with it, we explained to the doctor why we wanted a certain medication and he was happy to help, however, a nurse practitioner was there (Alisha Hightower), who spent 4 minutes with us and refused to listen to anything we had to say, refused to prescribe the medication and literally walked out of the room and never came back. We had questions to ask, needed more information on the meds she did prescribe but she was "too busy" to answer any questions. Amazing she wasn't too busy to take our money. I will never use this urgent care again. I thought the people in the medical profession would care enough to listen. Maybe Alisha is in the wrong profession.

I showed up at the Kings daughters urgent care with 2.5 hours before they close. There were three people in front of me. I filled out no paperwork... They took children that came in after me before I was seen. I could hear them examined for extraordinarily long periods (more than 20 minutes per patient) of time before I was even seen through the walls because they are that then. UIn a absolutely soul crushing move, they waited until all pharmacies in the area were closed before even seeing me, when all I needed was a prescription for antibiotics so I wouldn't get my uncle sick on his deathbed. After traveling for four days, and waiting for 2 1/2 hours, they can even get it together to write me a prescription for antibiotics before everything was closed for Thanksgiving. They knew it was being closed they did nothing except take others in front of me for no reason except that they wanted to. They do not care about you, they care about themselves and what they want to do, not what is your priority to make you accommodated but rather whatever they can do themselves. Saying I'll never go back to her is the understatement of the decade, literally as I have not been back here and yours and will not return for many more. They made it impossible for me to see my uncle before he died because they purposefully waited me out, I explained everything to them and they were fully aware of the situation, they offered no accommodation and no apologies or reasons. They saw everyone before me. I was in the back office examination room for a full hour while I could hear them seeing other people in front of me. Sad, horrible... And they most importantly prevented me from comforting a dying man. It's impossible to get lower than what they did, with full knowledge. Update, the day after words, I just went and reread this entire review. I stand by it. But, I want to make some kind of clear, the real issue that I have with this is that the people that they're underserving, IMHO, are the salt of the earth. I think that the tragedy here is not that they're just a bad clinic, cause they are, but that exists, it's that this is one of the few options for the people who live in this area and they're really good people as a General rule. If you're screwing over people who never done anything wrong to you or in most cases anybody makes it way worse. I'll think anybody but I have a problem with this were located on Capitol Hill... I might even laugh about it. This is a tragedy though, is people deserve all the best in there getting the worst as they usually do time and time again. They put my file, my medication, everything under my middle name. This made it impossible to look up when I got to CVS because they didn't tell me which neither bringing under an assumed it would be filed under my last name like every other place in the whole freaking world would do... So it's CVS, it took the poor guy nearly an hour to get my stuff when it was already done by the time that I got there. In fact, after talking with the guy and looking at the time on the receipt, medication was called in half an hour before I left the place which means that they could've let me go earlier and specifically made me wait. This bothers me because, I'm the one that told them want to prescribe, I said please prescribe me some Zithromax, please prescribe me some prednisones and that's exactly what they did. This whole place reeks of corruption, reeks of a hoax if you can, stay away at all costs, if you can't, I'm deeply sorry but bring entertainment because you're going to have to wait unless you're with an infant. What a freaking joke.

Ok, second visit and second doctor as the first one I saw was no longer there. That should have…read morebeen a tip off. I called to make an appointment for an annual exam which is covered under my insurance. They put me down instead for an appointment for a urinary tract infection. I arrived first appt of the day and waited 45 minutes to see the Dr. When I was ushered in I had to ask for my annual exam, which is why I was there to begin with. The Dr. didn't seem to know how to use the speculum and caused me horrific pain wondering if she was going to do damage to me during he exam. When it was finally all over, I never received any results from the testing. I received a bill in the mail for a co pay when this charge is fully covered as a preventative by my insurance. Long story short I am still trying to work with the billing company to have the billing properly done. I called the Dr's office for help with getting this billed properly but they assured me that they use a billing company and can do nothing?? So I am thinking that the billing company must have gotten some info from them as far as date of service and services provided??? But now it is completely in the hands of a billing company that has no idea what services were provided. Why would the billing company talk with me about billing this properly?? These people seem confused and inept. I gave a urine sample in the bathroom that is available for public use??? The nurse was trying to help the doctor perform the exam???? No recommendation. Avoid this location.
