Went here early this year for a nice little cousin date and had the best time! I was a little intimidated by the whole ring making process in general, but after picking out my materials and deciding on how I wanted to design my ring, the whole process was fairly simple and really really fun! It was my first time making jewelry and I'm glad that I did it at Ing Art Studio! It was a thoughtful gift from my bf where he scheduled a ring making class for the both of us. Parking was really easy since it's in a more industrial part of Fremont. Unfortunately, we were running a little late, but the instructors were kind enough to wait for us! They provide aprons, but it's not really messy! The studio itself is really clean and cutely decorated with the jewelry that they also sell! The bathroom is also very neat and tidy! The ring making experience starts with the instructors giving you a breakdown of the steps you'll be doing to shape and design the ring. It was honestly a lot to absorb but fortunately, the instructors come around to guide you in the right direction. Our class was fully packed so there would be times that we had to wait for help, but it was a great balance of independency and being supervised! The process takes a while, but I appreciate that the instructors never rush you along the way, even if you're lagging behind everyone else. We opted to do the silver ring option and they had an assortment of ways to customize them! They had many stamps, dyes, and different ways to shape the rings. In total, our two rings came out to about $300, though I believe it depends on the amount of material that you use. Overall, this was such a fun experience, especially since our instructors were super helpful and patient, so I can't wait to go back! We took the "Silver Clay Jewelry Making Class" and had such an amazing time! It's super beginner-friendly, but also hands-off enough that you really feel like the artist behind your own piece. The instructions felt a little overwhelming at first, but Aria guided us every step of the way. Had the most incredible experience here and would definitely recommend this art studio for everyone. My friend and I signed up for the 925 silver jewelry class to make rings. They had a bunch of example rings, but we also came in with a bunch of inspiration photos and were told what was feasible with the materials. My friend and I went for really different style rings, but the instructors really helped everyone customize their rings to their particular vision. Everyone was so helpful and nice, and you can work at your own pace-- I never felt rushed at all. We ended up taking around 3.5 hours on our rings. We also received photos of us working on the rings, us with the rings at the end, and a mini photoshoot of the ring by itself very soon after the class. I have nothing but good things to say about this class and will be recommending this experience to all my friends. Would also love to see this art studio offer longer term classes in the future to dive deeper into how to make jewelry, but for now I will enjoy these single day workshops :) read more

There is no amount of words I can use to describe this experience. You'll just have to experience it yourself! BUT here is what I will say: 1000% do it. DO IT! It's so much fun! Most of the people go with friends or as a couple but you know what? None of my friends wanted to join so I went solo and I STILL had a blast! Oftentimes, it is the people around you that make your experience amazing but here, it was the actual craft itself that created an unforgettable occasion. My biggest fear was that I would not have anyone to "cheat" off of if I got confused but in actuality, the instructors walk around and are available at any moment (and you will need to get their attention constantly as you progress). They are extremely kind and helpful, even if you are confused. I am not super crafty BUT even I was able to make something semi-decent and that's saying something! When you first go in, they will check you in and then show you a bunch of example rings. You will have the opportunity to take a look at them and see which one you would like to replicate and since this is completely customizable, if you enjoy an element of one ring and another element of another guess what? You can combine them! You can ask the instructor if it was possible and then they'll also tell you the difficulty level of the rings. During the activity, they will be taking photos of you/your friends. At first I thought it was for their socials but at the end of the day, they sent it to me in a lovely little email! I was so surprised to get them and honestly, the photos were wonderful! I was hoping to record my time at the workshop but was completely engrossed in what I was doing I didn't have any time (nor did I have any friends to do it for me) Price: $120 base price but I paid $143 (probably from tax or something). My partner and I signed up for the ring making workshop with Skylar on a Sunday morning. The session lasted from about 10am to 1pm for us, though it does depend on the style that you choose since some are more complicated than others. We both had an amazing time and would 100% recommend trying this workshop! Skylar was super kind and patient when explaining each step of the process. I came here with my boyfriend on Valentine's Day week to make couple rings as our date night activity. When we arrived, we checked in and signed the safety waiver. Then we got to choose the style and design we wanted to make for the rings. They have samples of all the different styles, as well as samples to try on for sizing. There's also a lot of different stamps that you can choose from if you wanted to had a cute stamp or lettering on your ring. Note, the longer stamp designs, like waves, are much harder to stamp on the metal than the more common and smaller stamps (like letters, zodiacs, suns/moons). I made my bf's ring and he made mine, and I asked my bf to choose a different ring design since I'm too weak to hammer the long stamp designs nicely for the ring style he originally wanted. Haha. After we chose what we wanted, we were able to practice stamping before doing it on the ring itself. Then we learned how to form the ring, cut and solder, shape, and polish. My bf and I really enjoyed our experience. I struggled more with it than my boyfriend did because of the designs we chose. But the staff was very friendly and helpful! Instructions were clear and they went around to everyone to individually advise them how to create their ring designs and the best way to handle the tools effectively and safely. They both help make sure our rings looked good before we left the studio. I appreciated that even if we went over the time alloted on our class reservation, they didn't rush us to finish but allowed us to be there longer and helped to make sure we were happy with our finished product. If you don't take photos because you're too focused making the perfect ring, no worries! They take photos of the process and finished rings during the session.
