I never heard about this company until last night. All the coments are true. I was parked on the street where UPS and other warehouses are waiting to pick up a load the next day at the warehouse house. As at around 12am I felt my truck lifting up. I opened my sleeper curtain and boom they had already hooked my truck and trailer up. These guys are scummers. They said they were towing me to their yard and I will have to pay a fee of $6000 and if I resist i will pay $10,000. I tried talking to them reasonable like humans but they now started telling me about their bills how much they have to pay for insurance, repair of their trucks, rent for their yard etc. Come on you don't rip hard working truck drivers off just to pay for your expenses. You knew the business you getting into. Even when you parked on a wrong side of the road I don't think North Carolina police will fine you up to $10,000 this is bad. Driver in truck. Spotters arrived and scoped out the scene. Tow truck pulls in and backs to the front of the truck. They lift , wake driver then tell him he's being towed. $6,000. They towed him in the truck against his will. I asked Ingrams if they could drop and he lied and said "They changed the law and we can not drop. I was looking at the law and corrected him with "The law prohibits you from charging a drop fee". These guys and their whole company are crooks. The police treat this as a "Civil" matter when in fact, taking a vehicles use and operation away from the person occupying that vehicle is something totally different. EVEN IF it is on private property illegally. They should only tow vehicles that are quasi abandoned or left without permission. Where the driver is inside, is this parking or standing. My boyfriend is a truck driver and in October while we were sleeping this towing company parked in front of us demanding $3,000-$3,500, it's around 3 in the morning during this time so he had to get in contact with his team to pay it off, because my boyfriend wasn't moving fast enough to pay the $3,000 they hooked up to his truck and took us to their yard saying we need to pay $6,000 to get it out. Oh, I forgot to mention, these people move in packs, my boyfriend had to call the cops cause he thought we were getting robbed. The next morning at 8am sharp my boyfriend called, and called, and called, ready to pay the money so he can get back to work, they dodged him for 4 hours, I finally decided to call through my number and they picked up the first time. They finally arrived an hour later to receive the payment and that took almost 2 hours because they claimed to have lost the card machine.
