The owner, Jason, was very attentive to our needs and once he got to know us identified from INJOY's stable of incredibly talented artists the DJ he felt would best vibe with my wife and me. We were BLOWN away by Jason. We were blessed to have him at our wedding at the Edgewater, and let me tell you...he can make ANYONE DANCE! I saw people at my wedding who never dance, get down and boogie like it was 1999 =) My husband and I were talking... and we can't remember the last time that we were at a wedding, and the DJ actually mixed the music. An added "extra" was that he had all the lighting equipment to highlight the venue even more. We used this company last year for our wedding and it was the BEST decision we've ever made. Read the rest of the long review if you'd like, but honestly if you've stumbled across InJoy Entertainment, just go ahead and set up a zoom meeting with them. You don't need to meet with anyone else. From the very first call with Jason, we felt like we were talking to an old friend. This was the first wedding vendor we secured and it set the tone for the rest of our planning. Jason is a true professional, and by the end of the call I was excited to start wedding planning. And FYI - their prices are SO reasonable - we paid for our wedding ourselves with a VERY small budget and no wiggle room. Our experience with InJoy Entertainment was worth double what we paid. The reception was our biggest priority - I have been to weddings where the dance floor was empty most of the time, or weddings where people left early because the dancing tapered off, and that was my biggest concern. I wanted to have a short ceremony, and then a party that would last until the very end of the night and have enough guests around for a big send off. Ronnie was the DJ that Jason assigned to our wedding and both him and Jason totally understood this goal. Ronnie BLEW US AWAY. He played all the songs we wanted and then some, knew when it was appropriate to switch from chill family friendly songs to full on party music, remembered all the small specific details I wanted, pulled off a surprise last song perfectly, was an amazing MC, and just such a nice guy. Our guests kept asking how we found him and loved him. The planning meetings with Ronnie and Jason leading up to the wedding were so reassuring and organized. Jason also gave me really great advice about switching out one of our ceremony songs and he was so right about the difference it would make. We also didn't realize until right before the wedding that our indoor/outdoor venue only had ONE outdoor outlet and no power source anywhere near the ceremony stage. Jason and Ronnie figured out how they were going to make this work via a FaceTime call while we were at the venue, and the day of the wedding Ronnie had everything set up no problem when I arrived and it all went off without a hitch. I was so impressed with how they made a sub-optimal venue work out perfectly. This is the longest review I've ever written because I cannot say enough great things about InJoy Entertainment. I just couldn't imagine our wedding day with another vendor. Also, I'm writing this almost a year later because I just happened to be on my yelp account and didn't see the review I thought I posted after the wedding and immediately felt like a horrible person and had to rewrite this review immediately. Jason was FANTASTIC to work with. So professional, so on top of it all and clearly knows the wedding crowd well. He totally picked up on my not so typical requests and nailed the execution (like playing light piano instrumentals in the background during the ceremony), played all of my favorite classics during dinner and was the PERFECT MC during the night (not obnoxious or corny, but clear, concise and timely). Exactly what we wanted! We also booked the photobooth through Injoy and it turned out fantastic! Loved the custom photo strips they were able to provide, the fun props they had and the great selection of backdrops. The attendant was fun and on top of the booth! So much fun! The Injoy team did an amazing job at our recent wedding in the Seattle area. Eric Ackerman DJ'ed our wedding and I couldn't be more happy. He got absolutely everyone up and dancing at our reception - when the dance floor filled up people danced between tables and along the back of the room. It was amazing. His song selection was spot-on, and instead of just playing one song after another he blended them together so that the energy never slacked. In addition to being an excellent DJ Eric was very helpful when we were working with him before the event. He helped us figure out our reception timeline, and suggested some things we could do to make the evening run smoother. He also met up with us on two occasions: first to get a look at the reception venue to see where he could go, and the second time to take a look at our ceremony venue. He was so easy going and easy to work with - I remember at one point when we were at the ceremony site after he had gotten a look at the facilities and figured out his stuff he helped us measure some things that we were measuring and do some other stuff, my (now) mother-in-law asked us "oh, is this your friend?" and my mom responded with "well, he's our DJ, but he is acting very much like our friend." and I think that this is a very accurate description of all our interactions with Eric. One last thing I want to say about what a joy it was to work with Eric: every time I would talk with someone on the phone or have an email communication about the wedding I would come away more stressed than I was before communicating with them. Not Eric. Every single time we talked I would walk away with a sense of peace and relief that he had our back and he knew what he was doing and that everything would turn out great. And it did. AWESOME AWESOME AWESOME DJ and Photobooth! We hired Injoy for our recent reception (we just threw a party, not a wedding!) and they were everything we hoped they would be and more! Eric was our DJ and he was amazing. I know how annoying it is for DJ's when as soon as they start, they get bombarded by requests. But Eric smoothly integrated requests, and anything from the host/hostess he played almost immediately (thanks Eric ;). We asked for just party music all night, old school hip hop/r&b as well as current club hits. He did just that. He played all the songs on our 'required' list and had folks dancing until our 1am end time. He also came out to our vendor walk through which was also helpful, and offered to hookup the main room system with some wireless mics and mixers (even though his station was downstairs) which was so helpful. The photobooth was another HUGE hit. Great box of props, and the quality of the prints are really nice. I also REALLY liked that you could customize the strips and it wasn't some promotional tag line at the bottom. They give you an unlimited # of strips, and you can fit a ton of people in the photo, think we had one where there were like 12 of us in it. We opted to do multiple prints which think is really a great deal. Everyone in the photo gets a strip, and then they print an extra for a scrapbook that people write a message in. Comparatively to other DJ's and photobooths they were an AWESOME deal. Just an all around good time with good people. When my (now) husband and I started planning our wedding, we read that there were 3 key elements to throwing an incredible party: food, booze, and music. We also wanted a mix of EDM, 90s hip-hop/R&B, top 40s, oldies, and Sinatra to accommodate a range of generations and cultures among our guests. So we weren't playing around when it came to finding a DJ for our big day! We found Injoy Entertainment through a word-of-mouth recommendation and Jason quickly responded to our inquiry. In general, Jason was super responsive throughout the whole process -- from listening to our initial needs and vision for the wedding to scheduling video interviews with us to ensure everything was on track, Jason was great in shaping and coordinating the steps leading up to our wedding. He's incredibly friendly, quick to respond, and always ready to answer questions about logistics or anything music-related. And then there was Josh -- our Injoy DJ. He was incredible day-of. For context, we needed a DJ for our 50-person vineyard/outdoor wedding in central Washington. Josh drove out from Seattle to our wedding in Naches, WA (a 2 1/2 hour drive) and set up his equipment in nearly 100-degree weather and smoky air (there were forest fires nearby) without complaint, but was cleaned up and ready-to-go by the time our ceremony started in the early evening. Josh helped keep our evening on track by MCing our entire wedding and announcing key instructions we had outlined for guests. And of course, the music was top notch. Throughout the wedding and even after the day, several guests came up to us and said how much they really enjoyed our music from cocktail hour to the dance reception. DJ Dave from Injoy Entertainment DJ'd at our wedding in March and made it a night to remember. (Here's a little secret: DJ Dave is the alter ego of Pezzner, one of the best electronic music DJ's and producers in Seattle. So I was more than excited to have him play at our wedding) Dave absolutely killed it. He did an outstanding job reading the crowd and as a result the floor was never empty. We had a blast and so had all our guests. Even today, our friends tell us how great the music was. Throughout the preparation process, Dave was very cordial, especially given that I was "micromanaging" him, being a DJ myself. Last but not least, he was perfectly on time, the set up was impeccable and he cleaned everything up immediately after the party. Dave is a true professional and I would recommend him to anyone. We hired Jason to DJ our wedding reception - and he now has all of our business for future parties we throw. It's tricky to find a DJ who will really listen to what you want. But Jason was accessible, available and all ears about the vibe we wanted to create. My husband has very particular music tastes and Jason really listened to understand exactly what that was. We had multiple calls with him to discuss music, playlists and the flow of the evening. Somehow, he was ultimately able to integrate the unique vibe we were going for, while also balancing what would make the crowd groove. Pretty impressive. He is a true artist and mixologist. Injoy entertainment went above and beyond making our wedding an epic event! Not only were they extremely professional and attentive the day of the wedding, but they were great everyday leading up to it. Jason and Chad got back to us very promptly on any question we had in terms of electricity needed, changing our contract, adding extra hours, editing songs into mash-ups, etc. They listened to what we wanted and provided exactly that. Our DJ Eric, was great and stuck to our playlist and added a few extra that matched what we wanted played. He didn't play anything off our do not play list and stayed in the back ground to not detract from our day. My wife and I went to 8 weddings this year and they were by far the best, and that was the same thing we heard from all of our friends and family as well. They came early to set up, were very professional, and the cost was very comparable to other packages we looked at. We were at a wedding last weekend and ended up finding ourselves selling Injoy to a couple getting married next year, as if we worked for them!
