The Paper Vault's prices are the same or better than what I found online and it was nice to be able to see the products in advance (she has lots of books and paper samples to flip through) before ordering so there were no surprises when the final product comes. She has also been really good about not trying to up-sell me or blow my budget. For example, I really liked the look of one letterpress sample for my personal stationary but instead of up-selling me on letterpress (which is a little out of my price range...), she explained why letterpress is so expensive and gave me the pricing options for a few different styles of printing. This store has not only rescued my disorganized butt on many occasions, and provided a resource for emergency situations, but has also had just the right amount of unexpected things I would want. Examples are: my favorite type of ginger ale, Jelly Belly jellybeans, and (oddly) a strong magnet when one got torn out of a costume I was wearing. If you struggle with mobility such as climbing steps and navigating uneven sidewalks, crowded, and/or tight spaces, this bookstore might not be accessible to you. If you are plus sized, you might struggle to navigate this place as well. There was a teeny tiny bathroom on the bottom floor. You have to get the key (with a map to find the bathroom, connected to a large block of wood so it doesn't get lost,) from a cashier near the entrance. The bathroom didn't look the best but it did the job.
