I took him the bare bones of a custom design and he created a work of art. The needles are new, the equipment is sterilized and he wears gloves and a mask when creating. His prices are extremely reasonable for such a talented tattooist. Its easy to find him - from the hotel zone take any R1 bus downtown and ask the driver to stop at el ayuntamiento (City Hall). Cross to the other side of the avenue (av. Tulum) and turn right towards the traffic circle. Kukulcan Tattoo Studio is located in a small strip mall right before the circle. Make the effort to get out of the hotel zone and you will be pleasantly surprised.

After showing her, she goes to say, "Mar Andrea and I are both booked already", but we have 2 others that are available. Like seriously! So while I was sitting and waiting for an hour, no one could have told me that? Why wasnt the 2 others offered to me an hour ago, I probably could have been half way done with my tattoo. Very displeased with the service, just not what I'm use to. At that point I was under the impression that they did not actual want to tattoo me so we left. $60 usd wasted on a cab ride!
