Located in a small quiet plaza off Holt in Montclair. There was plenty of parking in the plaza lot on a Tuesday afternoon. I came to this establishment to get my tongue pierced. I sit in the chair and she pierced my tongue slanted,not once, but twice my tongue was pierced incorrectly, both times instead of the needle going directly through it went through the top and out through the right bottom side of my tongue. How could you have went wrong with that? I don't know my tongue anatomy is very simple straightforward and actually the blueprint for a tongue piercing you could say. I have both times it was done incorrectly on video. I did not jump twitch or move during the process so I do advise you to be very careful when going to get pierced at this establishment. I'm not sure if she was even licensed, but I had to heal up for a week just to go get my tongue pierced by a professional. read more

Although the shop seemed nice and clean, the artist that took care of me didnt really pay attention to what i wanted done i asked for sunrays instead he did background shadowing, this Really irritated me due to the fact that this piece will be on my body forever. He only gave me 3 hours notice before our appointment that he was double booked. Lorenzo is a good artist. But it was a very disappointing experience being promised an appointment and then being bailed on WITHOUT a date to reschedule to. The boss Jeffrey also SKYROCKETED the pricing unfairly. Do not get your nose pierced here, the tall white blonde girl who pierced my nose has a hostile attitude. When she marked my nose with the pen, I checked the placement but the lighting is bad so I asked for a mirror to see it from a different angle and she straight up lied saying she doesn't have a mirror and I ended up hating the placement. Sis you work at a tattoo parlor, I'm pretty sure you have a mirror. Second thing is that after she pierced my nose, she really just let my nose bleed out dripping without cleaning it lol never coming back here for anything. I had a meaningful tattoo planned and before I could even describe what I wanted done the artist there was giving me a quote and telling me he could only do this much work before the night closed. Extremely unprofessional as I didn't care how much my work cost. I run my own business so I understand self determined value but when I was quoted only $80 for a job I would have paid minumum $150 for without a care to how lone this small job took, I knew this show was not where my meaningful work would be completed. About two years ago we stumbled into this place looking for something small, we didn't know we'd end up coming back 6 tattoos later. My dude JEFFERY, @alley_kat_tattoos, is personally my go to. All his work is very crisp, no problems with healing, makes you feel comfortable when you're in his chair, not like you're just another dollar. And I'm always getting compliments on his work. His personality is pretty cool too haha He takes the picture you have in your head and makes it better. This cat is going places and all I gotta say is I'll follow him wherever for his work. This has been my go to spot since before Manny became owner back when he was shop manager to prev. owner back in 2010. Fun, friendly, but professional environment. All artists and piercing practitioners make one feel at home, make sure costumers are comfortable throughout sometimes a some more than other's lengthy session, or even a very short one. These guys saved my life. I had just been in a rut from another tattoo shop that had left me high and dry for an arm rest (like they didn't have other ones to use). You can find it under the Flying Daggers Yelp. ANYWAYYYYY I called up flustered and explained the situation to Manny. He reassured me that I could come in and they could tatt me up. I am so grateful for these dudes, as the other shop left me high and dry because an arm rest broke and didn't want to "half ass" my tattoo. My daughter and I came here for the Friday the 13th event and there was a line out the door for tattoos! Fortunately we did not have to wait as long because she was there to get a helix piercing. When I filled out the paperwork for her piercing, I noticed that they did not check my ID or my daughter's before piercing her (she's a minor). However I was always there with her and the shop was so busy with their event, so it could be understandable. The guy at the front also told us that people usually get pierced with hoops; my daughter likes the look of hoops but always read online that studs/labrets were better for healing, so we just went with studs to be safe. Pretty sure both are okay though. The piercer Brenda was very nice and took care to look at what would be most aesthetically pleasing on the ear despite the shop being so busy. Nothing was super glaringly unhygienic, and my daughter was satisfied with the piercing. I believe the last Friday the 13th, everyone in the shop worked 26 hours until the last customer was done, so hats off to them for being so dedicated. read more

My main artist wasn't available so I had to look else where to get one of my ink re-touched ASAP. He was reasonable in pricing and was professional as can be when doing work on me. If anyone knows how I can file a complain about this place for bad practices please send me the information. My friends and I went to get a piercing for the Friday the 13th special they had going on. I read and signed paperwork, they didn't ask for my I.D. which I thought was weird because every place I've gone to ALWAYS checks I.D. We waited a couple minutes, eventually I was called by a "piercer" (@creating_havoc on IG) and he had me sit down on a chair. I've had my nipples pierced before, I have never had to sit down on a chair. He didn't take a look at my previous scar from my piercing that had closed to make sure i could repierce it again. So initially I thought it was okay. After he marked my nipple, he, WITHOUT MY CONSENT took a photo with his phone to show me. Nowhere on the disclosure paper that I signed said that a photo would be taken!! He could have simply grabbed a mirror. He was really unprofessional and does not know how to pierce. I would not reccomend getting a piercing or doing any business here. I have never in my life bled so much from a piercing!! I went to get my piercing checked out by another local place and he NOT ONLY PIERCED MY NIPPLE TOO FAR BACK, IT WAS CROOKED!! After my friend saw how much I was bleeding from the piercing, she went to talk to the owner Manny so she could get a refund and he refused to give her, her $50 back. The only sign that we saw was a no refund for tattoos, NOWHERE did it include piercings on there. He was really unprofessional and handled the situation poorly. This place is disgusting and I dont reccomend getting piercings here. read more

I recently went in to get a tattoo and it was a great first experience besides the fact that they make you pay upfront, also wasn't to happy about the lines, they have hiccups meaning they are not perfect lines when someone is paying top dollar there should be 0 hiccups I won't be returning here ever again. The worst place to get a piercing. Unsanitary and unprofessional. Started off by them having open bottles of alcohol behind the counter during work. The guy marked my lips with a marker that was almost completely empty and just had been used on nipples. Gross, the bar they used to pierce my lip was SO small it wouldn't even fit my lip healed. With the swelling my piercing started breaking layers of skin on both sides of my lip, went to an actual professional and got it changed on the third day. Now that it is healed I can see it is off centered as well. Not to mention they didn't have a problem with piercing me without checking ID read more
