I found this place by random, I was out on the island scouting out an area to take my wife when she comes out to visit. I'm from Seattle and I'm working down here temporarily. After speaking with Sheldon Birdswaney about traditional Japanese art and looking at his portfolio. I felt he would be the right guy to let work on me. I have to say, after being worked on my 7 different artists from Seattle to NYC, Sheldon knocked out of the park. Extremely clean work, I can't say enough good $hit about these guys here. George and Sheldon made me feel like I was family within a short time. If I can afford it, I will definitely be back. If not in the near future, Sheldons work is good enough to want me to travel from Seattle just to have him do the ink. Thank you so muc

Paid $140 for two very small very basic tattoos. For them to start fading the following 2 days! I don't really recommend this place! Artist had told me if I was experiencing anything wrong with the tattoo to go back and he would do it for free, texted last week but still hasn't replied back to me!

My boyfriend and I had a great time at Inkredible Tattoo! Russ was our Tattoo artist and not only was he funny, friendly and very helpful but our tattoos came out amazing. Ana was also working that day and she does amazing henna tattoos. We didn't get henna but we witnessed at least a dozen people come in and get her work done and each piece was truly artistic. They have computers set up to help you find the tattoo design that you like, which is very helpful. Russ has a very light touch when tattooing (I've had over 60 hours of tattoo work done and he is the lightest touch I've encountered). He was very engaging and a genuinely nice guy. If you are thinking of getting a tattoo or henna done while you are on the island, this is definitely the place to go. Everything was very clean, the tattoo needles are pulled out of their packages in front of you and the ink is placed in disposable containers so you are quite safe. The prices are the same as what I've paid other places as well. Nice shop, nice people and great work.

Russell was great! He wasn't judgmental, instead he was very open to what we wanted. He was friendly. Artistic. He was easy going and he cracked up jokes when he saw we were getting nervous. I wish I would've gotten my other tattoos with him. He also definitely got me what I wanted and it was quick. I made sure his equipment was sterilized, which it was. He cleaned up, washed hands, sanitized area... and opened up new package for me and a new one for my fiancée. He has a steady hand and definitely shows in his work! I have to give this place zero stars. I didn't even make it to a chair due to a huge misunderstanding about their restroom. The woman was so over the top rude and disrespectful that me and my family left. And like I said, it was just a huge mishap. I wasn't intoxicated at all...but honestly was extremely tired. And I had seen another customer use the same restroom. But this woman reacted so aggressive. So here's my opinion...if you want to be treated like a person avoid this place. There are other tattoo places on the island. Or just call ahead and make sure she isn't there. read more

First, I didn't actually get a tattoo here so this is a review more for the service I had. In very few words I was referred to find a design on Google at a computer they have there at the shop and was told 4-6 inches would be too small for the detail work in a simple flower. I said I would talk it over with my husband and stepped away and that was all I ever heard from him. 2 girls came in and they were talkin it up, after about 15 minutes we left and walked next door (they didn't talk to us either) for about 10 minutes and as we walked back to the car we passed the tattoo guy and he looked at us and looked down and kept walking. If customer service had been better then I might've been comfortable compromising my original tattoo idea and getting it done there, but no. read more

My family and I are here on vacation and we wanted to get tattoos and a henna for our 11 yo daughter. It is my 4th and my son's 2nd tattoos. By far, this business has been our best experiences!! VERY reasonable prices and Russel was amazing, friendly and gentle! His artistry for both tattoos were excellent! Beware!!!!! Do not go to this store or give it any money. The so called manager Guy who is not only rude but very unprofessional was pointing in my face and cussing at me because I wanted them to check their records because I was charged twice for my purchase. When I told him he shouldn't be rude he told me to Fuck off and get out of the store. I'm here on vacation and assholes like this ruin the experience. This is money we're talking about and I'm not talking a couple dollars either. Just so rude and very unprofessional!!!!! I tried going to this shop with my mother and sister just a few days ago but since we weren't 18+ we couldn't go in and look at the piercing, but when I read a yelp review I saw that an 11 year old got a henna with her parents that were getting tattoos. They were rude about telling us we couldn't go in as well when my mom ask if we really needed to be 18+ since there was no sign saying we needed to be. Had to go to peggys On the island since we couldn't go in and look at Nose piercings. read more

Horrible experience, walked in there's absolutely no seating for customers. The bathroom had urine all over the seat, no toilet paper, or hand towels. Luckily they had soap! Sat down for 30 minutes for two henna tattoos, when she was through with other customers she saw us. I have two little girls that wanted a feather bird henna, and a heart with the word dad in it. The first was priced $45 which I think is overpriced but I would've settled but than she gets greedy and tries to charge 30$ for a small heart, on a 8 year old with little arms. She didint try to negotiate a deal, you can see that whole place is greedy and not about customer service and satisfaction. We are locals, visitors beware this place is for profit and that is all. read more

Ask for Atilano Arena. He is very good. I had a tattoo I needed covered up and he was able to transform it into an amazing design. So glad I decided to stop in. Wasn't to sure about getting a tattoo on the beach, but was so please I stopped in. Remember you're paying for perfection, so don't expect cheap prices. My mother and I got matching tattoos by George and Phil yesterday. The overall experience was great and they both offered advice that would help our tattoos looking the best and stay that way. My mother and I were having trouble with the script part of our tattoo and Phil drew something up real quick. We are so pleased with these two guys and the work they did! They made sure we were comfortable, they were personable, and most importantly, they were professional in making sure everything was prepped properly and clean. Just got a tattoo yesterday and I absolutely love it and had a great experience. All of the guys in the shop were very friendly and we had some great conversations while I got tattooed. Atilano was the one who did my tattoo. He spoke very little broken English so the other guys had to translate for us but he did an amazing job. And was reasonably priced considering the size and the color. They are not a "cheap" tattoo place. Remember "Good tattoos are not cheap and cheap tattoos are not good". Definitely going to make them my to go tattoo shop from now on. read more

When I went back to the shop the next day (at 9:00 P.M.) he was passed out and in no condition to do shit!!!! Very unprofessional. What a joke!! He said he does a lot of temporary style tattoos during the summer so was excited to do a real one on me. I priced a similar tattoo in Houston and they ran from $150 - $225 so I was uber excited. Enoc was great and the tattoo came out perfectly. He was very funny. He also was great at checking on me and being a cheerleader. Whenever he was about to do something that he knew would hurt, he'd give me warning first so I could brace myself. And Enoc is very clean - gloves, opened everything in front of me and all....I kind of wished I'd gotten one on my hip but that will be saved for another day....if you're ever in Padre and want a tattoo, definitely hit up Enoc!

It was 2 bands on my right arm and before I could tell him that I wanted Faith written in latin, he cut me off. He said that the bands wasn't difficult to do and that the bands wouldn't be straight. They might look straight on one side but they would come out crooked on the other side. Then he started telling me that he doesn't do trendy work. Tribal, bands, and he went on to mentioned other styles were trendy and his professional opinion, he doesn't do trendy. I felt like a complete fool. Prior to coming into the shop, I looked up the history, culture, and any background information I could find on the band tattoos. I wanted to make sure that I didn't offend anyone or a culture. What I found was that the band tattoos have become very popular. In some articles I read, the cultures that embrace this art form encouraged this tattoo because some folks educated themselves on how/why people got these band tattoos. The tattoo symbolizes a loss, mourning of a loved one, or a great or significant accomplishment. Manny went on and on and even mentioned that in his professional opinion, he wouldn't do the tattoo. Yes, "professional opinion" was mentioned more than one time. So I asked, so you wouldn't do it? He said well no but maybe we can do something different, put a spin on the tattoo, make it different. I then said well, this tattoo is for my daughter who serves in the US Navy. Again, I couldn't finish what I was going to say when he said, Oh bro ya we can do it definitely, we can do it. I don't have time this week but next week. I said ok, I'll be back. I couldn't walk out of there fast enough. The folks in shop sitting behind me, I felt like they were laughing at me. I felt like a fool. My daughter, in the US Navy, and I are working on getting tattoos that have meaning to both of us. I'm not trying to be popular or follow a trend. I want to look down at my tattoo and smile thinking about my daughter. Already making plans to meet her in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area later this month to get the tattoo up there. Neal mentions customer service, this wasn't customer service. Maybe update your website to inform your potential customers that you're no longer tattooing certain but more focused on another style. Writing this still doesn't make me feel any better. Thought I found some I could trust and appreciate their work for years.

George Knowles has done the last 3 of the 5 tattoos that I have and I strongly recommend him. I know George from Austin and when he moved down to South Padre, I made a point of going to see him while the wife and I were there. He has always been professional, open to all suggestions, offers up his own suggestions, and makes everyone feel comfortable. The Inkredible Tattoo shop is great in of itself. Everybody is very engaging and friendly. If you're on the isle, make sure you stop by their shop, right there on the main strip, and ask for George Knowles. You won't be disappointed. Everyone in this shop was amazing! My artist was Little George..and I couldnt have been happier with both my experience and result. I was a little iffy about whether or not to have it done at a shop in south padre..but after seeing his Instagram page I was sold. Also..he estimated 4 hours of work and it was done in just over 2. I love it! And I'm already thinking about some other work I want him to do. read more

This is a great place to get an awesome tat, little george is my artist and call me crazy but I prefer an artist that can draw out what I want, not just pull from the net, trace, stencil and paint by numbers. Went in yesterday for my first tattoo and the customer service was excellent. I was helped quickly at the counter and Roy did an extremely amazing job on my tattoo. He made sure to get all the details and did an incredible job with the shading. Can't recommend this place or Roy enough :) read more
