As someone who has always struggled with filling in my eyebrows and shaping them, microblading my brows has been a dream of mine for awhile! I went to Helen two years ago and recently jus finished the combo brow. I kept going back each year because of the great service she provides. I was always hesitant about having my eyebrows done because I did not want it to look unnatural. Each year as the ink fades, there is no red marks left behind. Despite some reservations, I went and made an appointment with Helen at Inkredible Touch for an ombré brows session. I was scared of having unnatural looking, overly-defined eyebrows and Helen was fantastic at taking in my preferences and offering expert guidance and suggestions based on her years of practice. I was at first wary why Helen's manual ombre brows is a 6 hour process while other places advertise 3 hours to completion, but I decided to give her a try based on the great reviews and my positive interaction with her over the phone. It turns out that it's because the manual technique is relatively new and hasn't yet become mainstream in the U.S (most places are using the machine method which is not as precise/natural looking). I am glad I followed through because my experience exceeded expectations! Helen was SUPER patient and answered every single question I had. She worked with me on making changes to the design until I was 100% happy and never made me feel rushed. She continually checked in on me to make sure I wasn't in pain or uncomfortable. And, most importantly of course, my brows are looking great! I wanted a more natural look because I wear little makeup and I'm very happy with the result. Yes it seems like an expensive process at first, but considering all of the time and effort that Helen puts in, it's worth it. I had been wanting my eyebrows done for a couple of years now. After much research, I chose to trust my eyebrows/face with Helen at InkredibleTouch. I had originally thought I needed microblading but based on my lack of eyebrow hair, Helen recommended Ombré so I trusted her professional judgment and went with that. I chose the pigmentation color from Germany versus America because I thought the color looked better, it didn't have a reddish streak, and it is also organic. It's more expensive but I figured if I'm going to do this, I'm going all in. The place is extremely clean and she is extremely cautious with hygiene and sanitation. She explained what the day would look like and was happy to answer any questions I had. The mapping and design part were the first steps once we went back. I let her have the say with design because frankly I had no idea what would look best and I trusted her expertise. Her attention to detail is impeccable and I really respect that she literally treats your eyebrows like they're her own. The ombré shading took over 3 hours but it didn't hurt as she puts numbing cream on them prior. Again, she is precise and being type A myself, I love that she's a perfectionist because it's a tad scary knowing it's semi-permanent so you obviously want them to look amazing. I love the result and cannot wait to see the pictures she took (she does before and after with your consent of course). She went over the after care instructions thoroughly and is easily available via text or phone call. Not only is her work professional and amazing but she is super sweet as well and very fairly priced especially for the quality of work. I was there for 6 hours just to give you an idea for timing. I read someplace recently that thinning eyebrows show signs of age. I have been unhappy with my thinning blonde eyebrows for years. Like many coloring them in with powder and pencils and the shape was never great or consistent. I researched and came upon Helen and took the plunge and trust in her. Let me tell you it was one of the best things I have done for myself in years! The process takes several hours to reach perfection. When you walk into the clean, tranquil studio and sit with Helen as she explains, all the anxiety releases. The mapping process is very thorough and she will show you along the way how she is getting there. There are choices in pigment colorant she will help you find exactly what you want in shape and color. It is not painful, I actually nodded off. Helen is a perfectionist at her craft, with the most up to date technology I think it is important to mention that there are less expensive services out there. My strong opinion is, this is your face that you look at every time you walk by a mirror. Helen is the best! Final note, I have Joy every time I look at my face in the mirror. Just do it!! read more
