In honor of National Advanced Practice Provider Week (our Nurse Practitioners and Physician Associates) I wanted to give an updated review on IEWL/Raincross Medical group's Maddie Gould. Madi is the best HCP I have ever had. I have been going to IEWL since 2022 both as a weight loss patient and for my general care. I have had really bad experiences when it comes to my weight with other doctors, something I have struggled with my entire life. And I have equally struggled having a a provider who hasnt solely focused on my weight every time I would go for physicals etc. I wanted to lose weight and be healthier, and was motivated to make that happen. And I definitely did that with Maddie. After I reached my goal weight, I continued checking in from time to time, and as often happens, I fell out of my good habits (that I had formed over the year I was working every month with Maddie) and knew that I needed and wanted more support again. Maddie welcomed me back, and held me accountable which is exactly what I needed. If you are expecting a quick fix, this isn't your place. You have to be willing to do the work. They are health care providers. However, Maddie has never made me feel badly about having a bad week or a bad month. And continues to celebrate successes with me. She is exactly why I love seeing her. Because she is also my primary (which I am so happy about) she sees the entirety of my care and approaches me with the same compassion and kindness. In a world where people hear the word 'Physician Assistant' they assume that someone like Maddie is just an assistant. Or an 'extender'. I literally HATE both of these words because they don't do justice to what a PA actually is. These are highly educated individuals, who are (just like doctors) to maintain certifications to prescribe medications and their licenses. They arent just 'assistants'. While they work under the guidance of the doctor, they are SO knowledgeable in their chosen line of work with the added value of being so freaking incredible in terms of bedside manner. I additionally HATE hearing her called an "extender". Our APPs are experts that help alleviate the burn out of healthcare providers. Physician Associate is a much better term. As far as Maddie? I truly cannot say enough about her. She's brilliant and kind and a wonderful provider. I go to Raincross specifically to see her and when I make recs to my friends it's because of how amazing she is. She listens to me, helps me achieve my goals, and asks me what I want. And when she has to say no, she tells me why and comes up with another solution. Honestly, and this one is for Dr. Knopke, if she hasnt had a raise in the while -- it's time. I would follow Maddie anywhere if it allowed. And even if you hear when you make an appointment you are going to meet with Maddie, feel SO grateful. Seriously. If you're willing to put in the work, this woman absolutely has your back. Thank you, Maddie, for everything. I look forward to your care now and into the future. And happy APP week. I went online and wanted to make an appointment, interested in trying to drop a few lbs. I'd like to blame the pandemic but I'm just a serial overeater. It was difficult to make contact, then they gave me a form online to fill out, it had to be in excess of 10 pages long with many medical questions. I thought you make an appointment and see a doctor. The doctor goes over your medical history. At this place, they don't seem to want to go over your medical history, they want you to answer all the questions and give them your insurance information. I'm not sure if my insurance will cover it, but I was prepared to pay you cash. Anyway, I couldn't complete all the paperwork so I just had to give up. No one called me to follow up, guess they have more business that they need. read more

Dr. Knopke offers primary care services. I called to make an appt to establish primary care. I was required to complete all paperwork online before I could schedule an appointment which is reasonable. Before my appt, I received multiple emails and texts to confirm my appt which I did. I even received an email an hour before my appt making sure I was still coming. I checked in for my appt and was told I needed to put on a mask. I work in healthcare so no big deal, however the woman telling me I needed to wear a mask wasn't wearing one herself, additional staff in the back in patient care areas were not wearing masks... I arrived early for my 9:30 appt, wasn't taken back until 15 minutes after my scheduled appt. Still not too bad... then I proceeded to sit there and wait and wait and after an additional 45 minutes I decided to leave. Again, I work in healthcare and understand things come up. Also, sometimes at the end of the day things can stack up, however this is 9:30am, nothing was communicated to why there was such a wait time. The staff was surprised by me leaving and shared its routine to have to wait... While waiting in the room, the computer screen was dinging with other chat info on other pts. There was a tool box with sterile equipment that said don't touch as it's sterile... anyone could open and touch and no one would be the wiser... Overall disappointing experience... this was suppose to be booked as a longer appt, haven't received a call from the doctor about why I left. My assumption is that I would still be waiting. read more

If you are looking for a doctor who is very knowledgeable and thorough and is also compassionate, understanding and caring, you will be so happy to become the patient of Dr. Knopke. He patiently and attentively listens to everything you need to say without interrupting. He answers all of your questions in enough detail so that you are completely satisfied with your discussion by the end of your visit. He provides alternatives of treatment with the reasons for each suggestion. He keeps current on the latest medications and treatments and you will feel very confident that you are getting the best available care. Dr. Knopke is my primary care physician, as well as my daughter's, and we both are so pleased and grateful to have found him. We have been to numerous doctors and Dr. Knopke is definitely the best doctor we have ever had. Dr. Knopke has a wonderful bedside manner. Dr. Knopke is awesome. I've been seeing him for 4 years, sometimes for weightloss and sometimes as my main general doctor (he does both). Maddie is great too! Very personable and easy to talk to. When you go in person (or with tele-appt) be prepared to wait. I don't mind though. You know why I don't mind a wait here? Because they take their time with the patients. That's why they are always running late. This is the best reason to wait. Their staff has never been rude to me. In fact, I need to book my next appointment but I've gained weight and I can just hear it lol. They are very kind. They know most people struggle. I've lost weight overall since I first went, even if it is up and down, it isn't their fault what I eat at home! This clinic needs to extend their late policy, at least to first time patients. 10 minutes after a scheduled appointment is not enough especially for patients traveling from afar. Traffic happens, wrong turns happen, etc. not to mention the parking lot is ridiculously packed and by the time a patient reaches their 3rd floor office, time has passed. In my case, I was there within the 10 minute late policy time frame but upon arriving to their office had to wait in line while another patient in front of me filled out paperwork! By the time I checked in, I was considered over the acceptable late time which is completely unfair. When offered to reschedule the appointment the nearest available date was 2 weeks out! Also, it didn't help that the young lady in the front desk had absolutely no customer service skills to professionally relay the message that the PA couldn't see me anymore. I don't think being 5 minutes over the 10 minute late policy would have thrown her whole day off. To say getting to your appointment and not being seen as a first time patient was a huge disappointment is an understatement. A little grace can go a long way for this clinic. read more

I actually stopped going there because I was growing tired of scheduling an appointment at a specific time and then sitting in waiting room and exam room for almost an hour combined multiple times. However, all three medical providers know their stuff. My end result was after 12 weeks I had dropped 63 pounds. I have gained 30 back over the last two years, but I know what I need to do an what I need to stop doing. Was not expecting the level of service I received; the doctor was very thorough and took his time to explain everything. I ended up going through insurance, and they covered the visit, the only thing I had to pay was for the food and my copay. This was a hard choice for me, but I had to do something because at my heaviest I was 247.6. The actual intake took about 30-45 mins and the doctor went over my health history, diet habits, and what I wanted out of the diet. I've been to other places and they literally operate like a mill, Inland Empire Weight Loss was completely different. Im happy I started, and Im happy Dr. K was legit. Today is my first day and Ill update the review with numbers as I go. 9/29/17 weight 236.6 Body Fat 31% *Update #1* 10/20/17 weight 224.7 Body Fat 27% *Update #2* 11/03/17 weight 220.6 Body Fat 27% I should note that the previous week I cheated on my diet went to Red Lobster and ate my companies Potluck, before the binge I was at 217.6 :( stick to the plan!! *Update #3* 11/17/17 weight 212.4 Body Fat 25.5% I really wanted to avoid this appointment for personal reasons, but the holiday rush made it difficult to find a different date. Happy with the results. *Update #4* 12/21/16 weight 207.6 Body Fat 22.8% I should be smaller but I missed my last appointment and then the holidays, then my bar results, and then the Christmas potlucks got me as well. I'm happy, but it's harder to stick to the plan around this time. I stopped tracking my meals (I shouldn't) and have missed the gym consistently. Here's hopin' for that "new year new me" bullshit actually works. *Update #5/6* 01/18/18 weight 199.8 lbs Body Fat 21% I hit it really hard for the new year but Dr.K said its normal to plateau. Ive been watching what I eat and going to the gym hard; but the hardest part / killer are the weekends. I tend to blow my efforts and eat tons of fried food. Im going to stay on the program until March 18, 2018. I have learned how to control my food / quality-calorie intake naturally and not rely so heavily on appetite suppressants. *Update #7* I was 194.3 on 2/18 and then I ate Popeyes and KFC back to back and shot back to 199. By my next visit I was back down to 197 but you have to be disciplined and avoid binging. This is my second to last update here's hoping I'm under 190 by April. read more

I was less than satisfied with my experience at I.E. Weight loss. The wait was over an hour for each of my appointments, the office staff seemed unhappy and at times unprofessional as some of the girls lack basic customer service skills. I also had an experience similar to one of the other reviewers in that I scheduled a 7 am appointment thinking that if I was the first one there I wouldn't wait as long. I was wrong! I didn't even get seen until 8 am and one of the girls who checked me in didn't arrive until 7:15. Another time I arrived for my appointment and waited over an hour and actually had to leave before being seen because I was told there was still another patient ahead of me. When I asked to reschedule I did not get an apology for the wait and she said, "I don't know why they're running behind today". Really? Could it be that you book way too many patients for the same time slot perhaps? You can get much better, faster and less expensive treatment for weight loss elsewhere. Needless to say, I will not be returning and would not recommend this clinic to a friend. read more

It's been almost 6 months since I started coming to the Inland Empire Weight Loss Clinic. I've had a couple issues with my knees including a torn MCL and then a torn meniscus and arthritis in the other which lead to surgery. Needless to say, I had gained weight on top of already being overweight. The only way to feel relief was going to include loosing weight to relieve my knees. I'm happy to say that I've lost 45lbs and feel a lot better. Every time I'm seen here I receive personal attention and care by an understanding professional. Yes, sometimes there is a wait, but when it's my turn I never feel rushed. I feel encouraged. I feel hopeful. For the first time in a long time!! The worst experience with a medical "professional" that I have ever had. The initial intake interview lasted a total of about 15 minutes. A quick history a few min to chat and done. I actually went to the second appt hoping for a better encounter. Wow, what a bust. After over 2 1/2+ hours I just ended up walking out! Then I gave a try of getting the first appointment at 700AM. Same total lack of professionalism. The office staff didn't show up until 715 and then they didn't know when or if the doctor would show up! ONLY GO TO THIS DOCTOR IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME ON YOUR HANDS AND DO NOT MIND SPENDING IT SITTING AROUND AN OFFICE STAFFED BY LESS THAN PROFESSIONAL PEOPLE. read more
