Michael came out and everything seemed great! We were processing passport documents that needed to be notarized. The government rejected my expedited passport application because he didn't sign the document where the government provides for the notary to sign and date. I called him to let him know and to get a refund for the service since it was done incorrectly. Michale spent the entire call talking over me to tell me that he did the work correctly and that I should call the National Notary Association to prove that he did good work. I explained that I wouldn't do that because the federal government said he didn't do it correctly and now my passport isn't coming. All I wanted was my money back. I never threatened to sue for the cost of my trip. I don't think that would be fair to him. But I do think that Michael should have offered my money back to me since his notary service was rejected by the federal government. Not only was I not offered my money back, I was met with self-righteousness, confrontation, poor customer service, and just no thought or consideration from one human being to another. I'm honestly surprised at how upset Michael got at my request for a refund. It wasn't that much money to begin with, but now here I am writing a poor review. Response to Michael's Reply: Michael, as we discussed, you are incorrect. I checked into this and was assured that the Federal Government does not request notaries to do anything unethical or unlawful by California's standards. It is your understanding of your profession that is incorrect, at least that is what I was told both by the agency you ask me to call and by the passport agency. The reality and the only thing that really matters is that you are money-hungry and unwilling to take responsibility for your actions. In addition, you very well know that even if you were correct, this is quite obviously a fringe issue that would have been impossible for me to predict and could have been something you would have warned us about ahead of time. You didn't even say to us that you weren't doing what was being asked or warn that it might be rejected. IT IS YOUR JOB TO KNOW THAT. Regardless, a professional in your position who put us in the position you put us in should have OFFERED a refund. It was only $100. I don't even care much about the $100, but I care GREATLY that you yelled at me, talked over me, and were rude to me. You are as unprofessional as it gets when things go wrong. read more
