DO NOT COME HERE IF YOU ARE NEURODIVERGENT!!! I WAS ABANDONED AS A PATIENT!!! They will treat you with anger and disrespect. They are in no way, shape, or form capable of dealing with people who are neurodivergent. They are giving me hell for having mutism and a hard time talking. I asked if there weee social workers and was told to sit down. I was then given a severely hard time while stammering and having difficulty with speech due to a neurological disorder for not knowing the difference between a social worker,!outreach, a caseworker, etc. I said I wasn't okay, needed someone, and needed to call my husband to call them to get help. Since then, I was told to sit in a chair in the back for SIX HOURS. No doctor to go over results. No nurse. Nobody telling me why I'm in this chair for five hours until a nurse finally told me they were getting a social worker. That's it. I am freaked out and crying. I am twitching like a rag doll due to spasms I have nobody seems to care about. I am in pain from the jerking. There is nobody. I am thirsty, finally walked out due to lack of care to have the social workers I waited six hours for to magically appear. UPDATE: The person I asked for a social worker from caused me to be placed on a 5150 by lying and claiming I said I was going to harm myself today. This never occurred. I asked for a social worker as I am disabled and did not feel safe being alone and wanted additional care outside of the hospital. This occurred Feb 23, 2026 at around 11am to 12pm. I give him zero stars. He screwed up my back surgery and I told him I was in excruciating pain and I wanted a fusion he told me I was not in pain. I have severe fibromyalgia now. I had a blood ball because I had so much blood coming out of my back that he or the nurses never checked and the ball exploded and blood was everywhere. He is the worst surgeon/ person ever. I was having stroke like and heart attack symptoms this morning and went to Inland Valley Hospital and they you were horrible to me this morning. Triage nurse acted like patients waiting line were a bother to her. I said I was having stroke like symptoms as well as severe chest pains along with many symptoms of heart attacks in women. I was BLOWN AWAY when she told me to wait in line. Thankfully I was called ahead of 3 others, but waiting even 5 minutes in line like I did can be the difference between life and death. My BP was in the 190s over another high number and my Heart Rate in the 130s, but they did not even call a stroke code. Just wheeled me back to some weird ER patient only waiting room where I waited for a little over an hour. There were at minimum 15 patients in that weird little room complaining they'd been waiting over 2-3 hours after also being triaged. Many were crying out in pain, but calling out to nurses went unheard. Apparently there were only 2-3 nurses on duty; which seems criminal to me for being 8am at a BRAND NEW HOSPITAL! Hearing all of this and leaving me to worry and go unseen by even one doctor in that hour; I decided speak up and be my own advocate. I just got up and exited; telling the triage nurse on my way out that I was going to another hospital. Thank God that I did! I went to RANCHO SPRINGS and they immediately performed as a hospital should. They took me ahead of the other patients waiting to be triaged and when the nurse saw that my vitals were just as high they IMMEDIATELY called a stroke code and had 2 doctors and at least 6 nurses waiting to give me the treatment based on protocols that the both the American Heart Association and the American Stroke Association has given as strict guidelines that must be followed! Why isn't this big beautiful NEW hospital that cost $400 million to build treating patients in their same city like this? Is it because it is not funded by taxpayer dollars? The entire $400 million was funded entirely by the hospital's private parent company, Universal Health Services (UHS). UHS is a Fortune 500 company and as I'm researching this today it is starting to make sense. It explains the rude staff, not calling codes, not following the protocols that have been set as guidelines by 2 of America's top healthcare associations. It definitely explains what an awful building it is with the SMALLEST ER waiting room I've ever seen! You have already in 2 months gained the most horrible reputation in our valley and shame on you for money grabbing! I have been taught the lesson to go to EVERY council meeting! read more

I came in with excruciating pain and was seen promptly, provided with medication and cultures were collected. My nurse informed he was leaving and a shift change was scheduled. That's when things went completely wrong. The incoming nurse did not do a back-brief with the leaving nurse, never introduced themselves, never came in to check on my status, never checked my pain level, reconnected my iv fluid since returning from the restroom, checked my vitals. I was completely ignored and left in the dark on the status of my ct scan or lab results. I had to disconnect all my monitors and look for a nurse to provide me with an update , I walked to the nurse station where I stood for several minutes with staff walking by and no one acknowledged me. I finally forced an interaction with a lady who told me I didn't have an assigned nurse that they did a fish bowl style of care where they all pitched in. I ask how would this work, it's been almost 3 hours since the shift change and no one has come to my room. I asked her the status about my ct scan, she told me she would call and find out. I went back to my room and about 5 mins later CT came to for me. When I returned once again no nurse ever came to my room, I had iv fluids that were never reconnected, I guess I should have done it myself since I also reconnected all the monitors previously using Google to assist on placement for my heart monitor. The provided came in explained my outcome. The discharged nurse was cold, unprofessional and rushed me out of the room by ripping my wrist iv hook up, asked me if I had been briefed on my discharge care which I stated no, but then proceeded to hand me a stack of papers and not once asked if I understood or had questions. I didn't even get a name for the nurse or her even verify my name much less DOB. This is my 5-6 hours experience. To think this is the care other patients receive it baffling and sickening. Patients shouldn't be left to worry or have advocate for basic medical care during a moment of crisis, emergency or illness. I was not aware that Southwest Healthcare Inland Valley Hospital was a DIY type of health care. read more

Well, lesson learned. I genuinely feel like I'm being pranked because the level of unprofessionalism here is unbelievable. I wish I were exaggerating when I say that something as simple as getting a Tylenol could take 45 minutes to an hour. The room was not cleaned regularly, and I had to ask multiple times for extra bedding so I could change my husband's bed after being here for four days. We also had to repeatedly request that overflowing trash be emptied. The communication from the doctors has been just as frustrating. Several have come into the room without introducing themselves, explaining who they are, or discussing why they were there. Interactions often felt rushed, short, and dismissive. I do not expect a hospital to feel like a five-star hotel. I understand healthcare workers are under tremendous pressure, and I appreciate those who have shown compassion during our stay. But basic cleanliness, timely care, and clear communication should not be too much to ask. read more

So unfortunately this place is terrible. I had such high hopes with the new additions. Been here many times with different loved ones and my own medical emergency in the 26 years I've lived in this community the "upgraded" emergency room was ill designed. People all over the place, lined along every wall. My 86 mom had a stroke and Afib was discovered while abroad we were told to bring her straight into this ER when we got home. Both the nurse and doctor said "what do you want from us". Never looking at what test we're done or not done in the 3rd world county we came from . Doctors said "well I'm sure they gave her an MRI". Nope (Also didn't give her blood thinners but nobody was willing to look at the documents brought in)he finally agreed to run test and admit her. Kept her in the hallway for almost 8 hours, legs completely swollen. Asked a nurse for a blanket, "I don't have time" many old ppl were freezing. Then the next day the doctor felt she was ready to discharge, I told him "so your telling she's 86 and lives alone but she is good to go home by herself because she walked down the hall with assistance without falling!?" Okay are you ready for his answer- " Yes, take away the sharp knifes and ladders" end quote! He really said that! Malpractice at its finest. ER has an incredibley incompetent MD - Tom Tan. Beware. My aunt has been transported to Inland several times in the past year (no choice because paramedics will not by pass a hospital on the way to another ER.) Tom Tan has diagnosed mu uant as needing nicotine patch! Did he ask her if she smoked? No. has she ever smoked? no. In July, when I saw his notes I called Inland and asked the nurse to remove the Patch. she did. then this month, Aug, even after telling the ER nurse, she doesn't smoke, or use alchohol, my 90 year old bedridden aunt is not engaging in smoking, TAN orders a nicotine patch; along with this, unfortunately it is on his notes that she is an occassional drinker. I was transfered to this hospital from Temecula to get surgery on my leg. I had broke my tib/fib and ankle. The first Night there was fine I was moved from the ER to my own room to prepare for surgery. My pain progressively got worse and worse as my swelling got worse. I asked for pain meds and I got extremely small doses.... Didnt feel a single ounce of relief. Had the surgery and it went great! The surgeon did a very good job and was very nice and knowledgable my nightmare started after I got back to my room. First night the nurse was great! consistently came to help and make sure I had everything I needed. the next day I got another nurse a Man names C something chase maybe. He was a great guy but my call button was being ignored and I missed my morning doses by a couple hours sometimes. I later found out that he had a busy morning and the many nurses I sent out for him never actually found him. Later I got his phone number and the second half of the day he was Amazing and got me what I needed. that second half he was probably the best nurse I had this entire stay. the next night things turned for the worst. my nurse couldnt speak english very well and would pretty much do the opposite of what I asked just because of the language barrier. If i touched the help now button no one would come for a Long time but i made it through the nigh. I had another day of a similar experience all the while My roomate was a awful snorer.... it shook the room. the last night i was there they had moved me to a better room without a loud snorer which helped me sleep. at4am they changed my gauze and tried to give me more painkiller but the system went down and they couldnt scan my wrist band..... so no pain killers for another 20-30 min all because of a computer issue, even though the pain killers are right there and ready. the last nurse I had was the WORST. Flo was her name. I saw her 3 times the entire day and checked myself out of the hospital at the end because of her. I got my pain meds on time the first time then an hour or so late the second time and a completely new nurse had to give me my last dose. from my perspective Flo never came back from lunch. I asked to leave in the morning but turns out even though the doctor said i could leave the day before if i felt up to it no one started the papaerwork or anything and the doctor on staff that day decided to ignore me until the last couple hours of the day before Case was off duty. he go the paperwork in but no one wanted me to leave because of some dumb insurnace thing we had to wait for because someone messed up. Two nurses found me alone in my room with my call button on for over 2 hours and they helped me out until i left. they were very nice and did what they could to have me discharged. I tell you this: I pressed that call button with the expectation to not hear from anyone for over an hour after i press it. At one point i had to pee so bad i unplugged my heart monitor just to see if someone would come running but no one did! i could be there dead and they wouldnt of found my body for at least an hour. I am a very level headed person and dont ever try to be over needy in these situations I did not ask for much and even expect the nurses to be a bit busy with a 4 to 1 patient ratio but this was next level and NOT OK. if i was the manager here i would be firing Nurses left and right. some of this is completely unacceptable and straight laziness. read more

My husband had a HORRIBLE 4 day experience at this stupid hospital. The nurses don't give 2 sh*ts about you. He broke his leg in a motorcycle accident so he's been in severe pain even after surgery and can't get pain meds consistently to help with the pains. They won't respond immediately to your calls and they come in 30 min-1hr PAST the next scheduled med dose. They just lolly-gag around the hospital and chat it up with their fella idiotic peers. As his wife, I have gone to the nurses station to get someone's attention bcuz his nurse was no where to be found for over an hour- and they looked at me as if I was the biggest inconvenience to them!!!!!! We just had a terrific experience at Inland Valley ER. My father-in-law fell and injured the back of his head. He was brought in via ambulance. Truly, the hospital team worked flawlessly, quickly, had him received and ran numerous tests including CT scans of the head and neck. The nurses who gave us the results were sweet, and caring and very informative. We felt a great sense of confidence and relief in their report. We were only there about 2 hours for the entire process. He's recovering at home now and we couldn't be more impressed and thankful. Great job Inland Valley! Thank you so very much. read more

My sister had emergency surgery...EMERGENCY SURGERY. And when she left the doctor told her he was going to send a prescription for pain. But ended up telling the pharmacy..." just tell her to take an OTC for any pain" AN OVER THE COUNTER MEDICATION LIKE TYLNOL.... AFTER GALLBLADDER SURGERY!!!! They have no empathy once you leave their services because they got your insurance information to charge 30xs the amount it costs to help you. HORRIBLE AND YOU GET NO HELP FOR YOUR AFTERCARE. And don't think about stitches on a 4-5cm long cut to your abdomen the put derma glue so she wouldn't have to come back. This is horrible service for what we end up paying. I pray she doesn't get an infection. read more

I was highly disappointed by the care provided to us by the PA who saw us. Her name is not on our paperwork but she was middle aged and blonde. She came into the visit with a bad attitude, condescending even, when my husband had a broken jaw. She basically rolled her eyes and said "what do you think we can do for that?". After explaining we were referred to the ED by the dentist she looked as if we were wasting her time (mind you the ED was not busy). She spent maybe 3 minutes with us with a half ass look in his mouth with a flashlight. As a nurse myself I was disgusted by her bedside manner and lack of attention. She had no discharge teaching I had to pry out of her anything about care of the fracture until we could get an oral surgery consult. The 3 stars are only for the triage nurse and the nurse who discharged us. If we return I will refuse her service and request a different provider read more

Had absolutely wonderful care! Truly wonderful. The entire staff was kind, attentive, patient, responsive, and served cheerfully. The nurses, with no exception, were so gentle and always came in with a smile and sunny disposition. You couldn't help but to sincerely like all of them (one adopted my husband and I as her "hospital grandparents"). They were all very efficient and demonstrated that they cared and saw you as a person -- not just another body. The hospitalist was very caring and was never rushed. The food was really good and delicious. Everything was great with the exception of the room. I was in the older building and the room was quite small with no place to put anything. The positive was that it was a private room as nearly all of them were. I am extremely pleased with the care received there. No kidding, it was a wonderful experience -- except for the pain of a broken femur. read more

Just wanted to provide an update that after 4 days, I finally had my surgery. It was never done the day or time said it would be. I don't remember being told anything after surgery about how it all went, I was told different things about the after care, and overall, it was a nightmare. Even out of the ER and in an actual (shared) room, it was chaos. Patients yelling for help and nurses non stop. I was told to make a follow up appointment with the surgeon and to do that I have to go to Corona. Overall, absolutely horrible experience, I'll never go back. read more

A level II Trauma verification for this facility is unwarranted. Inland Valley does not provide orthopedic surgeon care at the time of injury. I was sent to this trauma center from an urgent care doctor. I had multiple fractures and a dislocated wrist that needed to be set. The PA at Inland Valley told me the injury didn't warrant being set; as an option I could go to a trauma center that had an orthopedic surgeon on site. WHAT?! Inland Valley trauma facility doesn't have an orthopedic surgeon? Why the level II rating, why does the urgent care doctor think this is where I need to go to have my bones reset? Inland Valley soft casted me without cleaning the dirt from my arm and told me they hoped I could get an appt, with an orthopedic surgeon in 2 or 3 days. 9 months ago my brother suffered fractures to his leg and ankle with a dislocation. He arrived by ambulance. Inland Valley soft casted him and sent him home with well wishes for a quick appt to an orthopedic surgeon. His wife said, "What! you're sending him home like this!!" He ended up with an infection and almost lost his lower leg waiting for an orthopedic surgeon appt. My brother and I have different insurances but both are accepted insurances from Inland Valley. This trauma facility does not provide the trauma rating it enjoys. read more

I was scheduled to have Outpatient Ankle Surgery today. This is how upset I am this is the why wanted to write this while my memory was fresh. Everyone was very kind , Pre-OpNurses were amazing , Dr.Kelly came in and spoke with me about my procedure , anesthesiologist Jet came in and explained what he would be doing and the RN Crystal spoke with me as well and had me sign papers. Very kind and informative . All was going well. Until I woke up from my surgery. My Post op Nurse was Sondra Hadlestadt, I wake up and I am in pain, level 9 pain, I look down and. My leg has no pillow under it and it's not propped up . She asks me what my pain level is and I tell her so she injects "something into my IV line. I then proceed to ask for 2 pillows because my ankle was killing me. She leaves and comes back with 1 pillow and folds it in half and tucks it under my knee, I told her I needed one more pillow cuz my ankle is just dangling in the air and causing more pain . She's asks me what my pain level is and I say a 9 ,she then proceeds to inject "something into my IV" . I ask her what she was giving me and she said Dilaudid . Then leaves me. I see another nurse to my right ,Raegan K. RN. I ask her for another pillow or blanket because I pulled my pillow from my head to prop my ankle up myself. Reagan K (thank you) brought me a blanket and put it under my head . Within 8-10min I start closing eyes and my breathing slows. So I take deep breaths. Finally Sondra comes back and says "Catherine you need to take deep breathes " so I do . I then tell her I need to pee. She looked annoyed and said "so do you want me to roll you to the bathroom in a wheelchair ?" I said "just give me a bed pan cuz I don't think I'll make it . " I use the bed pan and she takes it from me and tells me"just wipe yourself with your blanket " and leaves with my full bed pan. Then she comes back and I'm ready to go home. I asked her why am I having trouble breathing and she said " Oh it's from all the narcotics " . She brings me my things I dress myself . She rolls me to the front where I see my husband thank god . She pushed me to my car , asked my husband for a blanket so when I step down I won't dirty my splint . Why would I step down with my splint ? Smh ..I removed the blanket from the floor and hopped to my seat. She couldn't even place the wheelchair properly. I couldn't wait to leave I was so angry. First off all " No welcome back your surgery was a success " how are you feeling ? " I was not informed of anything . She never told me what medication she was giving me , I had to ask her . She wasn't concerned about my breathing . If she would of just LISTENED to her patient (me) . I would not have needed that second dose of dilaudid that affected my breathing .Just a fucking pillow under my leg . My husband has been waiting for me in the waiting room and she never invited him back to be with me. Sondra was rude to my husband when he called to ask for an update " just wait I'll be up to talk to you in 20min. Why didn't you let him sit with me? I've worked at Inland Valley and Rancho Springs as a Health Care tech and I gave exceptional care to my patients , so I know how patient care should be done. This nurse should probably be in a different dept . Not post op surgery. Sondra neglected me , emotionally and mentally abused me . " who tells there patient to wipe there pussy with there hospital blanket when I can clearly see the warm wipes in the warm wipe container . This is so belittling I'm in tears just writing this . My nurse is the first person I see when I wake up . I am supposed to feel safe with her . I put my life in her hands. She kept leaving . She was not monitoring me or making me feel safe . Sondra gave no fucks about my wellbeing or care. I should be concentrating on my recovery, instead I'm at home and I'm scared to take my pain meds because I had a breathing issue that my nurse wasn't concerned about . I'm crying because I was not in my right mind to stand up for myself when Sondra was abusing me and I'm so ANGRY that this has happened to me , an advocate for nurses . I hope I never have to have surgery again , I definitely have PTSD from this experience. Shout out to Dr.Kelly, my Pre-Op Nurses, J. Nguyen anesthesiologist, and Crystal T. RN. They were amazing ! Too bad my Post Op experience was a NIGHTMARE. Please take the time to listen to your patients and not abuse them like Sondra Haldelstedt did. Introduce yourself , tell your patients what meds you are going to give them before administering them. I would not have had respiratory depression if Sondra would have told me she was administering Dilaudid . I would not have let her give me a second dose. You don't know who your patients are or where they work at or who they work for. So treat us like you would want to be treated . read more

Our experience is limited strictly to their outpatient surgical unit, comprised mostly of surgical doctors who are affiliated with the hospital. In essence, this is where our doctor performs their magic. As some of us know, arthritis and old sports injuries as you get older become more painful and at some point, you'll need to go in for an oil change and tune-up. I was rushed to Inland hospital in March due to a critical respiratory issue, when the ambulance arrived my family and I begged them not to take me to Inland (due to various problems with that hospital in the past) and they said by state law they had to take me to the closest hospital when in a critical condition, which is how I ended up there, it was not by choice. The moment I arrived my nightmare started, first I was taken to their makeshift ER where the hall on both sides were lined with beds of people vomiting and crying; the smell of diarrhea filled the air and they were doing body checks on people right in the open with no privacy, you could even hear everyone's personal information. I have a low immune system and I was taken to an area with curtained rooms. Every 15 minutes full trash bins were taken past us to the back door. Where I was at there was someone yelling and using foul language towards a lady, the cops were then called and I saw an officer with a wheelchair take the yelling man away. Then a woman fell off her bed and was yelling for help. I could hear the nurses yelling that she was laying in a pool of blood and was vomiting. Finally I was taken to a room upstairs, but was given no privacy nor given consideration for my low immune system as they put me in an extremely small room with another patient. My roommate took control of the entire room, she had her TV on for three days straight and whenever I tried to turn mine on she'd complain. I couldn't even turn on my lights or enjoy the company of my family without her complaining about it. Then a large group of doctors would come in to see me, it was very overwhelming and they wouldn't listen to me at all. They all talked over me and didn't give me any consideration, I did not feel comfortable with these doctors and asked for someone else but they refused, I had thought it was my right to be able to have a doctor whom I felt comfortable with, but they gave me no choice in the matter. There was one doctor I told not to come back, but I found out that they were never taken off my case. This doctor came in with an attitude and even called my adult child out into the hallway and asked them if I always had anxiety and if I was always accusing people, which I was not. My child told the doctor that they had heard both sides of the story and told the doctor that I was not like that, that I was merely traumatized by everything that was happening downstairs. Instead of being understanding they set up a physiatrist consultation to see if I had any mental issues. The physiatrist was set up on a tablet on a tripod with my room door wide open and my roommate next to me, again where was my privacy? In the 10 days I stayed there I was never once offered physical therapy (which I needed due to a previous surgery) and I wasn't even given the choice to sit up with my legs over the bed. My oxygen cord was so short that I couldn't even sit up to have my child brush out my hair, which was completely tangled and dreaded by the time I left. I was not even offered a toothbrush in all the time I stayed there, thankfully my child brought me one every day to use. When I used the bedpan I rang for a nurse for help and sat there for 35 minutes until they came. The day I went home, having not stood up or walked around for 10 days, I could barely even stand up without being held and put into a wheelchair. When I got home it was brought to my attention that there was dried feces on my back and bottom, the nurse didn't even bother to clean me off when helping me off the bed pan. This hospital is utterly atrocious, it desperately needs to be shut down! If your loved ones are taken here, get them out ASAP! I'm still having PTSD induced night terrors from my experience here! read more

The ER physicians are fantastic! But I had my 91 year old mother in ER on 10/19/25 about 11:00 am for stomach pain the triage nurse Ana was so rude my mom IV bag was empty and I went to let her know and she treated me like a 5 year old. I did not appreciate it. I notice she was like that to many patients who would approach her desk, she really needs some bed side manners. I worked in a hospital for 20 years as a Unit Secretary and did my best to be friendly and helpful to all the patients. read more

The wait time can be long but I will forever be grateful for the doctors and amazing Radiology teams professionalism. Very thorough in determining the care I needed. The radiology team and nurses took exceptional care of me. Thank You so much for your care. Remember this is a very busy emergency room and trauma center. Not to mention people just visiting the hospital instead of their doctor's office. The staff here is doing everything they can to take care of everyone as quickly as possible. read more

This is the worst hospital along with Temecula Valley. Dr's who treat everyone different when in for the same thing or just no empathy and their processes suck. read more

Look @ other reviews. Lowest rated hospital in the area. Tried calling operator she was stupid. Talked to nurse she said call back in 45 minutes the nurses are doing their rounds. she said to call his niece she would not give me his room number. read more
