10,10,10!!!! Absolutely fell in love with this CLEAN, EXTREMELY WELL MAINTAINED, QUAINT, PERFECTLY LOCATED GEM!!!! The suite we have is perfect and extremely clean and NEWLY FURNISHED TOP TO BOTTOM....small continental breakfast every morning at office, snacks all day if you like. The Beach??? Right across a very low traffic street with 2 or 3 walkways to it. The main strip of Venice? Restaurants etc? About a 15 min walk. Half mile. Straight up the Blvd. Personally one of the nicest spots I've ever stayed at for it's charm. I've been fortunate to stay/live at the best in the world so I talk from experience....

    The pool.

My first time to Venice, so it was a roll-of-the-dice on picking a nice place to stay. Inn at the Beach did not disappoint. Made the reservation over the phone. I arrived prior to the 3pm check in time & learned they are firm with the time. So headed to the beach, though I could have used the pool. As promised, they called me when the room was ready. I had a king studio, which included a small private patio. It also had a full kitchen. Everything was super clean and was like a cute little cottage. The stay was quiet. The pool is small, but there was ample seating. One of the afternoons I was there, a few children were screaming and doing cannonballs for hours. Every adult, including me, left the area. I know kids need to be kids, but, this was overboard. Honestly, Inn at the Beach, would be better if it were an adults only Inn. Breakfast was all carbs - pasteries, muffins, donuts, etc. You could get power bars to go. I ended up eating breakfast out as I live keto. It wasn't a big deal. Everything here was nice and it made for a pleasant stay.

Bless me father for I have sinned... I hesitated writing this review because I want the whole place to myself and really don't want anyone else to discover the Inn at the beach. We loved this this place. It is right across the street from the beach which we went to every morning and every evening to watch the sunset. the help is beyond friendly and helpful and are all normal people. The place might be old but it is clean as a whistle. everything you would need they have including great coffee in the morning. Please, please don't tell many people but if you get the chance book this place. This is coming from a gold Wyndham member who can chose a plethora of places on florida. Oh and did I mention you can walk thru the park to the historic district and have lunch or dinner within a mile? Ya think I'll be back? ya betcha!

Location, Location, Location! Older , all rooms remodeled; pool & hot tub, great parking, very attentive staff....did I mention the location! Literally 100' from beach access, unobstructed view of Gulf sunsets...there is no better motel in Venice for affordable, great staff and the view!

We loved our stay here! It is right on the beach and they had amazing breakfasts as well as beach chairs and umbrellas! The gentlemen that work at the front desk are SO KIND! We loved our stay so much!!!

I absolutely love this place!!!! It has become my favorite home away from home when I need to get away from it all! Everyone is so friendly, the rooms are charming and very clean. There is a great pool, inviting hot tub and it is right across the street from Venice Beach! Walk to the jetty, lots of great restaurants and gift shops. I highly recommend the Inn at the Beach in Venice, FL!

This was our 2nd visit. It was just as amazing as the first. We had a smaller room on the bottom floor with a King bed. There was seating, a microwave and fridge, and dishes and glasses. Plenty of towels and toiletries. We had the pool to ourselves for a few minutes each day. They supply water bottles, microwave popcorn, and fresh and delicious bagels and muffins for breakfast. Everything was spotless and the staff is so friendly. The beach is right across the street. Love it here!

While I finished checking in, my husband took the room key, moved the car to the side entrance and attempted to use the key pad to unlock the outside door. Not only was the keypad broken, but the door had tape over the locking mechanism thereby leaving the door unlocked 24 hours. The front desk clerk reassured us that no one came in other than guests. However, there was a man in a hooded sweatshirt outside the door smoking marijuana. The interior of the room was fairly clean but a bit shabby. The mini fridge was missing the freezer door, had a crack in the bottom, and a spot of rust outside. The bedside table had a leg that looked like a dog chewed it. The window was too dirty to see out. The shower had great water pressure with abundant hot water. The unlocked exterior door became a serious problem on the second night when rain apparently forced the marijuana smoker to move inside the building. Due to the large gaps around the door, we ended up stuffing towels under the door to stop the pungent smoke since I'm allergic to marijuana. The breakfast was fairly good. Scrambled eggs and bacon on the first day and cheese omelets and sausage the next. Waffles, yogurt, cereals, and pastries as well. My husband said the coffee was bitter but they also had Lipton Tea. Both days the breakfast attendants were friendly and constantly cleaning and refreshing the area. When we checked out I spoke with the front desk clerk about the door and marijuana. She stated the "shield " was supposed to be removed at night to make the door lock. Final recommendation- all of the staff we interacted with were amazing and professional. However, the building maintenance means we will find another location next time.

Really appreciated you Gary and it was a pleasure to get to know you! You are such an asset to this establishment. I highly recommend Best Western!

I stayed here for two nights and unfortunately had a very concerning experience with cleanliness…read moreand maintenance. The bathroom had visible black mold, including around the AC unit, and the air vents were heavily clogged with dust and debris. The walls, especially in the bathroom, had noticeable streaking and buildup. The shower fixture was loose and appeared to be leaking into the wall. The vent in the wall was covered by cardboard and there was a dead cockroach sticking to it. The floors were extremely dirty--after walking barefoot for just a few minutes, my feet were black from dirt. What was most concerning is that this did not appear to be an isolated issue. A guest staying a couple doors down told me she was dealing with the same conditions and allowed me to see her room, which had similar problems. At checkout, another guest overheard my complaint and mentioned "black mold in the bathroom" as well. When I brought this to the front desk, I was not given clear assistance or direct access to management, and the issue was not resolved during my stay. Not only was I treated with disrespect from the front desk staff but when I asked for the manager she refused to give me any information other than their business card. I wrote a long email and sent it to the address that was on the card and my email was sent back to me and said there was no email address of this name. I documented the conditions and would strongly recommend that management address these issues immediately, as they may pose health concerns--especially for anyone with respiratory sensitivities.

This family-run business has three different properties on both sides of Casey Key Road. Our unit in the Old Florida section was steps to the beach on the Gulf and our friends' unit was in the Dockside Villas on the Intercoastal Inlet. There is also a New section a few door down on the beach. The units are perfectly appointed in every detail. Some examples of the details include small flashlights on the key rings, lights over the barbecue grill and recycle/trash barrels, handmade soap at the sinks and every kitchen tool we might need. Our Old Florida unit is the smallest, a studio with a kitchen yet it had a beautifully painted mural on the length of the unit, a couch and a very cool honeymoon table for two (the chairs nestled in under the table to save space). Every convenience was provided in the kitchen and the bathroom sink had a grass skirt! The owners are delightful and very knowledgeable about the local restaurants and sights. Their office has a small gift nook with items made by local crafts people.
