The solar powered cabin was spotless, and we had no concerns at all regarding cleanliness .The area has so much to offer , outdoor activities galore. Our nights were spent under the stars, eating dinner at a picnic table in front of the cabin followed by a relaxing fire in our own fire pit. It was wonderful to wake to the sound of roosters and our trip highlight was feeding the roaming Sheep. I will definitely return, with my dog ( yes, it's a dog friendly retreat). From the 4pm welcome social, that included delicious White & Red wines that danced graciously on your palate. Various delectable cheeses, crackers, olives & thinly sliced turkey meats. YUMMY, they were! Movie nights, s'more's & more libation at your choice. The next morning, a scrupulously delicious breakfast was served; with a fresh brewed coffee from Ethiopia & a freshly squeezed grapefruit hearty drink. Yoga awaits me at 11am. I'm now chilling at the warm pool ‍ until my 2:30 Swedish massage ‍. Bill Hills Farm Tent and Breakfast is located in a small town in Narrowsburg NY, it's somewhat close to the Delaware Water Gap and it's approximately a two and a half hour drive from Queens NY. TIP: It's on the way to Woodbury outlet, so you can do some shopping after glamping We got there just before it was dark, in order to gain access there, you'll need to first meet up with the owner Jane (she lived just down the block) and she'll direct you to the glamping tent. After a short 5 minutes drive into the wood, we got to the tent and since it was night time, we couldn't really see the outside of the tent, but inside- O-M-G- GLAMOROUS! Everything was wood so you still feel like you are in the wild, Queen size bed, lights and electricity, small refrigerator, table, fully functional toilet, shower with jets and a full size marble sink. It just couldn't get more inTents than this! After the tour around the tent, Jane was super sweet and asked us if we had any dietary restrictions and also what time we would like to have breakfast. We said no and then she said good night and left us to enjoy the song of the nature = cricket singing The next day breakfast was served at around 8am (thru our request), We didn't get our breakfast served to us in bed but it was atop of a TREEHOUSE!!! OMG moment #2, this is definitely a boy's (I mean MEN) dream come true!!!! Moving on to breakfast we had muffins, fruit salad, an APPLE SAUSAGE RING and scramble eggs.. I usually don't eat sausages but that apple sausage ring was delicious!!! So good that I had two servings! and I'm very critical about my scramble eggs but Jane was on point with the eggs, it was perfect- nice and fluffy, not runny and not rock solid. While we were eating, Jane suggested a few places we should check out and she even gave us detailed directions to each of these places.. she's just too nice! Unfortunately it rained both days we were there but still we had a great time hanging out in the tent and tree house. The town center itself is not big but it's cute in it's own unique way. Overall the whole stay was quite an experience, Jane was an excellent host and is super accommodating, the tent was amazing with everything well maintained, the food Jane cooked was legit! that Apple sausage ring so good!! I'm not a fan of camping but I will not mind coming back to Blue Hill Farm Tent for another glamping experience!

There was very little lighting in the kitchen where you serve yourself. Remarkably, there was no one around the entire weekend. You and other guests had to forage through drawers for utensils, plates and napkins. (The second day there were no napkins so we used paper towels. Someone left hard boiled eggs, store bought mini croissants. An open dish of (maybe 10 blueberries). There was yogurt...not in containers mind you. It was maybe half a container that was put in a soup bowl. The fruit bowl held 3 green bananas and underneath were about 4 limes and 2 lemons. Not really a breakfast fruit bowl. You ate in that very dimly lit kitchen if there was a chair available. Talk about the lack of choice and worse-the unsanitary conditions. The following day, the same food was served... as if it was wrapped and then unwrapped. I'm a "grab a coffee and go" person so I wasn't so perturbed. I think the better word is that I was insulted. Not a place to stay. I promise.

(If it's winter do yoga and read by the fire.) If you are there an extra night have dinner at one of the fine restaurants in nearby Callicoon like Michael's on Main Street. This area between the Catskills and Poconos has lost some of its luster, it seems, over the years. But still a wonderful, underappreciated getaway I'd recommend especially if you need to disconnect for a night or two: no cell service around.

We checked in midday so we had the benefit of having daylight- making first impressions less creepy. We were the only ones in the bed-and-breakfast, as far as we could tell . Not a sole insight. There was no degree of security. No codes to enter, etc., after reading a taped message on the front door, we entered and eventually found our room. I truly love old / historic homes and Inns. I usually offer them quite a bit of Grace..... Despite outdated furnishings, our room appeared clean and the bed was comfortable. The air-conditioning worked well and there was a small room refrigerator. Surprisingly, no musty smells. The bathroom is in need of some serious repair. The sink is chipped and rusty and the shower tub- well, it's is far from a shower. We showered late that night and despite the timing, there was little water flow -more like a trickle by the time my husband showered. We had no idea when breakfast would be served - since we never saw anyone. We just wandered down the next morning. The breakfast dining room, where we were to eat, had a trashy movie playing on the TV. I got up and changed it . The breakfast was subpar with low level of supplies - tea, etc. We are willing to pay more for a room knowing breakfast is included. We should've dined out instead. I have one more true life commentary - there was a table in the hallway upstairs that appeared to be an amenity table - boxed hairdryer and box of Trojans. I thought it was a prank for someone staying at the Inn at first, however, later realized - don't think so. Time to Class it up several notches, Wayne on Main!!! Honesdale is a fabulous historic town. The Inn has tremendous potential - if only some sweat equity and thoughtfulness was put into it. Our overall experience was similar to that of the Twilight Zone. Perhaps you should look elsewhere.

We booked this property through Hotels.com based on its strong rating, but our stay was extremely…read moredisappointing and concerning. When we arrived at night, there was no one present to check us in. A sign directed us to walk several minutes down a cold, dark street to another hotel for check-in. We had our 11-year-old daughter with us, who was asleep. At the other hotel, no clerk was there. After waiting about 15-20 minutes and calling the number provided, a bartender from the adjacent bar eventually came to the desk. She appeared visibly intoxicated, said she was only the bartender, and was unable to help us check in. We returned to the original property. The instructions said our name and key would be at the room, but there was no name on any door and no key waiting. After knocking on doors, we eventually had an uncomfortable interaction with someone associated with the property and were finally given a key. The room itself had serious maintenance concerns, including loose/exposed electrical raceway in the shower area, cracked paint, brown water in the toilet, a cramped bathroom setup, and an overall condition that felt poorly maintained. I rarely leave negative reviews and understand small inns are difficult to operate. But this property should not accept reservations if it cannot provide a safe, organized check-in process. Our experience felt disorganized, uncomfortable, and unsafe. I would not recommend this property, especially for families arriving at night.
