(Are they still called cobblers? Seems very Christmas Carol-y!) First time - brought in some seriously battered boots that were only cheap ones anyway but super comfortable. I wanted to wear them for a festival that weekend but the soles had come completely away. I expected him to tell me to throw them away as they hardly cost anything in the first place and had clearly been worn to many festivals before (muck on muck on muck). He told me to come back in a few hours and he'd see what he could do. What he did was completely repair them - glue the soles down, clean and polish them so they literally looked like new. And charged me a tenner for it. Unreal!! I skipped out of there, though pretty shame-faced that he'd cleaned them all up - definitely not something I'd expected. Second time - this time had an expensive pair of sandals in which the strap had come away from the heel when the bolt had fallen out. There and then, he found another bolt to fit, bashed it in, and charged me zero for the privilege as it only took him a second. I honestly could not recommend this place more. Full props!

Politely I told her that I was not happy with this situation as I would have gone somewhere else if I had known the 'correct' price but as opposed to working with me, she said she can't give me the shoes if I don't pay. I dropped it off Tuesday afternoon and got it back Thursday midday. I brought the clothes in a suitcase and they took the suitcase from me and returned my clothes folded and smelling great in the same suitcase. I had left my phone in one pocket and they made sure to take it out and let me know when I came to pick up the clothes. Overall: price was great, fair turn around, and good service. I would recommend for anyone to use these services.
