Logan at Scenic Sound Solutions was my first and only call. From the beginning, Logan was absolutely amazing and attentive to not only the traditional needs of the reception but to what we wanted specifically. Logan worked well within my budget and provided so much more than I could have asked for. He accommodated my work schedule and worked with me after traditional work hours. I never felt rushed and Logan answered every question that I had. He was attentive throughout the weeks before the reception making sure everything was what we wanted. We even had some 11th hour changes (literally the night before the wedding) to now include father/daughter dance with an obscure song and to our luck, Logan already had it in his repertoire. As for the reception itself, Logan was the absolute best! We did not have a wedding coordinator so he offered to help with the announcing of events and keeping us on schedule. Him and our photographer teamed up and make sure the reception didn't have any hiccups. Logan read the dance crowd great and kept the flow of the music going with high energy all night. We only hired Scenic Sound Solutions for the music but they offer so much more like photo booths, hair/makeup, etc. If we are in Chattanooga again to host an event. Logan and Scenic Sound Solutions will be my first and only call!

I've gone twice in the last month and had vastly different experiences. The first one was something…read morethat made me not want to come back had I not already booked the second with a different group of friends. The first class went well over the two hour window and we weren't even halfway finished with our pictures. I ended up leaving at 10 o'clock, so a full hour after the class was supposed to be over, with a canvas that was 3/4 of the way painted. The instructor was great, but the focus on getting the art done wasn't there. My last class wrapped up a few minutes after the two hour window, but there were a lot of details in the painting. I realized that most of the time the artist is painting the picture for the first time as well, so you're both figuring out details together. That's frustrating. Overall, it's a fun experience, but if you are not an artist at all, don't expect to walk away with a beautiful painting. There isn't time for the instructor to come and help you flush out any issues you have.

Now, the bad. Whoever does the lights and the pre-show music needs some serious training. The music before and during the shows sounded like a combination of Peruvian flutes, windchimes, discordant jazz, and whales mating. It was wretched. We were there to see two bluegrass bands, and this was not an appropriate warm-up. But it was the show lights that nearly did me in. I don't have epilepsy, but if I did, I certainly would've had a seizure by the constantly roving, circling, glaring lights that shined directly in my eyes during nearly every song. This was not The Who at Wembley Stadium. This is a very small, intimate venue that doesn't need such distractions. Unless it's a band or musician I absolutely must see, I doubt I'll be back.

So . . . let's correct that! This darling little store is inside Warehouse Row on the "main" level. It looks like a little jewel box and if you love paper like me, you need to stop by sometime. There are lots of cute little boxed notes from all the nice-stationery-place brands, list pads and calendars (lots that would make great little gifts for stockings, baby or wedding showers, just because or just for you!), and if you need custom invitations - engraved, printed, or letter press- there are books and books to peruse. Thirdly, many of the "buttons" for kids to push didn't work or maybe they weren't suppose to do anything. But I would think if there is a button to push, it should at least make a sound or turn on a light. Lastly, (nothing that the museum can control) but it's hard to fully enjoy the exhibits when parents don't "reset" the area after their child is done playing in it. Parents please be considerate and reset the area when your child is done playing. Better yet teach them to do it themselves along with "taking turns".

Casey is well connected within the wedding industry in Chattanooga and did a great job of lining up vendor options. We met to talk about what I wanted and then she made her recommendations of vendors and had me meet with several to decide. She set up the meetings and attended them with me to make sure to ask all the questions that I literally had no idea to ask. She helped create the day-of schedule and coordinated with all of the vendors on specifics. On the day of the wedding, everything went off perfectly (or if something didn't, it was handled and I didn't know about it- Awesome). Casey had one of her teammates, Hannah, stay with the bridesmaids all day and she helped steam bridesmaids dresses and kept us on schedule for the first look and pictures. At the reception, Casey and her team made sure we ate and adapted the timeline to the flow of the party, as needed. All we had to do was show up, have fun, and go where Casey told us to go when it was time for first dances, cake cutting, etc. We received a ton of compliments about our wedding day and I give all the credit to Casey and her team at Soiree's. Some of the recommended vendors did a wonderful job right within the cost that I had expected, while others charged an obscene price for virtually nothing. Soirees held out on many quotes until a week or so before the wedding so that we were in a crisis for what we needed and had to take what the vendors provided at any cost. As the parents of the bride, we were made to feel superfluous to the day, almost as if we were in the way. Many details that were promised for the day of never materialized, creating some uncomfortable situations for family members and guests, leaving the hosts extremely embarrassed. Surely someone in the Chattanooga area can provide a service that is superior to "Chattanooga's premier event planning company".
