I've gone twice in the last month and had vastly different experiences. The first one was something that made me not want to come back had I not already booked the second with a different group of friends. The first class went well over the two hour window and we weren't even halfway finished with our pictures. I ended up leaving at 10 o'clock, so a full hour after the class was supposed to be over, with a canvas that was 3/4 of the way painted. The instructor was great, but the focus on getting the art done wasn't there. My last class wrapped up a few minutes after the two hour window, but there were a lot of details in the painting. I realized that most of the time the artist is painting the picture for the first time as well, so you're both figuring out details together. That's frustrating. Overall, it's a fun experience, but if you are not an artist at all, don't expect to walk away with a beautiful painting. There isn't time for the instructor to come and help you flush out any issues you have. read more

The picture on the left is what I paid for when I booked the event. This image was directly screenshotted from my confirmation email. In the picture on the right, the one on the far right was the hosts reference painting. Big difference, it's ridiculous. I can't believe I paid money for something like that- especially being under the impression that we would be painting the picture in the confirmation email. On top of that, we were sat with back-to-backs almost touching with other guests it was so crowded. They shouldn't overbooked this like they did. I wish I could have taken a picture of it so everyone who books this location in Chattanooga could see how physically uncomfortable and tight it was. Not to mention- our host was sick. She told us at the beginning of the class that she didn't feel good. I'd much rather have been inconvenienced with rescheduling another event than to have driven an hour and delt with a host who was not in a good mood and rushed everyone because she was feeling sick. They should have had a replacement for the evening and let her stay home to rest. I was referred here from my coworkers and manager who came for a birthday event months ago. They had great experiences and were all shocked when I showed/ told them this. It's hard to believe we had two completely different experiences at the same place. I'm sure it was just an "off" night but that still doesn't explain why the picture we selected and the reference picture for the host were completely different. read more

We had a great time during our girls night out session. Although it was a bit confusing knowing where our session was. It wasn't until we saw what was being painted that we realized we were in the wrong room. Once we got to the right room everything went well. Our instructor was very helpful ! I had a great experience here Sunday night with my girls. We painted sunflowers on red. It was super easy and relaxing. The instructor was descriptive, patient and thorough. All of the staff were friendly and welcoming. They have paintings for all skill levels. The place is decorated super cute. My friend took me to this place as a surprise birthday gift. I've never done a painting class of any sort but this was fun. Basically you have a teacher that walks you step by step on how to make a certain painting. The teacher stood up front with her painting, with a camera showing her painting a TV screen on the opposite side of the room. You could see how she did the painting pretty easily from wherever you sit. There were about 10 people in our painting session. The whole painting session took about two hours. I was surprised how the two hours went by so fast. Time flies when you're having fun. read more

I experienced a lovely Friday afternoon here with my family today. We were a bit late and Donny caught us right up and didn't miss a beat! He rivals Boss Ross when it comes to talent and charisma. Donny was gracious and kind throughout - he is an exceptional teacher! He is a gem to have teaching our group! The class itself keeps the selection of tools and colors simple so that the painting was easy to follow. The whole experience was relaxing and pleasurable! A+! read more

My sister and I took a 1PM class on Saturday. Donnie was our instructor. I can't say enough positive things about this session! It was so therapeutic and empowering! We had so much fun listening to the music and just flowing with positive guidance from Donnie! Our paintings turned out beautifully and each so different from the other. Highly recommend! Awful experience. My friends and I made plans to go paint for my birthday. When we arrived the lights were off even though online a class was scheduled. I called to see what was going on. The lady on over the phone said they cancelled due to no one pre-booking the class. She suggested we come back the next day for Maniac Monday which is $25. We go online and pre-pay for the class. The next day we were notified the class was canceled because only two of us had signed up although they guy the day before had said that was completely fine. He even joked about having the class to ourselves. We will never make another attempt to use this company. read more

We had so much fun at Painting with a Twist! Amber was so much fun and very patient! This was our first time coming here and thankfully she helped us make our paintings look fabulous because they did not start out that way . What a wonderful experience. Whole family went for painting- kids to grandparents. All skill levels had a fabulous time. Staff is friendly, organized and helpful. Recommend for parties, girls night out, kids parties and corporate events. We will be back next time we are in town. read more
