Adrianne's team is tight knit and amazing and not to mention her knowledge and expertise that is incomparable and priceless when delivering your new angel into this world. Giving birth is hard, scary and vulnerable. You may want to give up ! This team of wonderful wombmen we're so supportive and encouraging and knew exactally how to guide me and say what I needed to hear. She really cares about us, and listens to our views and how we felt. She is really sincere and has the well being of the baby and the mom at top priority. Me and my wife decided to have a home birth. Amy helped us feel very capable and comfortable with the birth of our son in our home. And everything went very well. Her post natal care was very good, she didn't leave until both the mom and the baby were in good condition while she met their needs. We strongly recommend her Bradley Method class. It was very enjoyable and was really good to learn in preparation for our birth. Amy does a really good job teaching that class and uses lots of updated information, real world experiences, and realistic scenarios. Because of this class, we were so excited for our birth and when our son ended up coming early, we were more than prepared for it. She is very knowledgable and keeps up with her education. When we had questions, she had answers that came with books and research studies to support what she said. Our prenatal and post natal visits were comfortable and enjoyable. We will definitely be hiring Amy again in the future and would 100% recommend her to anyone wanting a joyful/natural birth experience.

Unfortunately, my experience with Amy as a midwife was deeply disappointing and, at times,…read moredistressing. While she was kind and personable during our prenatal visits, her support during my labor and birth fell far short of expectations. I have rewatched the 10 hours of footage from my labor and birth - so these are actual accounts and not just from my memory. Amy did not consistently show up when I needed her most. I was in labor for 31 hours before she arrived to stay. Although she checked on me briefly around the 12-hour mark, she was hesitant to return that evening and seemed bothered when asked. Despite living just five minutes away, she made it clear she didn't want to leave her equipment behind, citing how expensive it was, which felt inappropriate and untrusting, especially during such a vulnerable time. My doula had to convince her to leave her birth stool at my house before leaving for the night. Throughout the night and next morning, while my labor progressed, she remained largely unavailable. She mentioned needing to serve lunch at her child's school, which felt like a higher priority than my care. By the time she returned, 31 hours in, I was fully dilated. At that point, she spent a surprising amount of time disengaged, making tea and sitting on her phone rather than actively supporting me. When complications arose that Amy couldn't solve due to her inexperience, I was transferred to a birth center for a Vacuum extraction attempt, the situation became more traumatic. Her partner Kristy, whom I had never met before, was harsh and unsupportive, aggressively pushing me to continue despite my obvious exhaustion after 40+ hours of labor. Their bedside manner during this time was extremely lacking and added emotional stress to an already intense experience. The lack of communication and support continued well after the birth. After giving birth, Amy left the center first and then missed our scheduled 24-hour follow-up. I had to reach out to her myself, only to receive a vague response about a personal family issue that had come up, without any prior notice. When I asked her for guidance about jaundice, her text response was a single word: "breastfeeding." When I needed help breastfeeding because my newborn wasn't latching properly, she helped me for 5 min then gave me a card for a LC. When I raised my concerns, she responded by saying she thought I didn't want her there during labor because I had my doula, which was simply untrue and baffling. She repeatedly mentioned family obligations as reasons for her absence, which gave the impression that her priorities were elsewhere. Additionally, throughout our care, I felt judged for choosing a Hypnobirthing class over the Bradley method she preferred, and she made disparaging remarks about other clients, something I found unprofessional. This review isn't written lightly. I truly hope others can find a provider who is committed, present, and supportive when it matters most. Birth is an incredibly vulnerable experience, and everyone deserves a care team that shows up, physically, emotionally, and professionally. Amy - I'm happy to sit down and review the footage with you so you can see how poorly you showed up for me.

I am so blessed to have Bearth and Gloria guide me through a deep and healing birth. My third baby,…read moremidwifed by Gloria, was born in my living room, on my couch, next to my bedroom. The lighting was my choice, I played gentle pandora channel from Iron and Wine, and my birth tub was full of warm water. I birthed right as the sun rose over the rocky mountains. Everything Gloria brought to the birth made me feel the magic and connection a mother can experience when this ancient knowledge of birth is in the room with you (GLORIA). I think gloria, gloria, I have Gloria at my birth! Besides the birth, she visited me in my messy toddler ridden home for my "doctor" check ups. She came to my home after birth so I could rest. She treated my womanly infections prior and post birth. Overall, I would be lucky to have her at any birth from here on out. Gloria's network of health care practitioners adds to her extensive Mother and baby care. We met our doula, birth photographer, and Natal chiropractor connected to Bearth. She listens, responds, and takes time to care for you AND your family (father included). You will LOVE the strength you have in your birth with Bearth as part of it.

We had a great hospital birth for babe #1 but chose Gloria and a home birth for babe #2 for a number of reasons. First, she's intelligent, approachable and genuinely supports you and partner in the birth that you desire, without judgement or steering. During every prenatal appointment in our home I felt 100% comfortable asking about anything I was concerned or curious about -- whether it be a supplement, an ache/pain, or changes in life-stressors. Nothing was "off the table" to discuss with Gloria. She also made herself available by phone or text outside of appointments which made me feel safe and confident that I was supported and cared for. Second, all the major milestone tests, evaluations and protocols for pre and post birth were completed but with the utmost ease and comfort -- most in your own home with the results communicated directly by Gloria. I remember how special it was to meet her with my husband and daughter and be together for our 20 week ultrasound! Finally, our birth began with strong active labor and Gloria met us at home quickly where there wasn't even enough time to fill the tub before our second daughter arrived. Gloria and her midwife partner prepared everything in our birth space, and through it all Gloria was with me - applying back pressure where I needed it, alongside my husband, and telling me "you're doing so good!" She never left me - I was the most important person in the room to her and she supported me in every way. She knew what I needed and though I was too far in "labor land" to communicate it! During the postpartum period her support continued with frequent visits and communication. Choosing Gloria and Bearth was truly holistic - it was more than we could have imagined. Reflecting on our birth now, months out, Gloria was just what I needed for my soul and just what our family needed to bring our sweet girl earth-side!

The appointments were well scheduled so I had time to address everything I wanted to with Angie. Not a single appointment felt rushed. I had originally planned a birth center birth and eventually changed my mind and decided on a home birth. The birth center is beautiful and comfortable, and I still had most of my appointments there. I had one home visit where I got to talk to Angie about different places I could have my baby, she brought a birth bag and a pool for when birthing time began. The team showed up to my birth and were so attentive to me! I thought for sure there was going to be a huge mess and carpet to clean after the birth but Angie had done such a good job with the chux pads that the carpet was completely clean. The team arranged my bed without me even noticing so right after my baby was born I could move to the bed. It was so perfect! After my baby was born, everyone looked healthy and comfortable, the birth team left the room so I could bond with my new baby. My husband got to weigh him, we got to participate in the newborn exams. It was just a great experience! I wouldn't have it any other way!

However, the CNMs I worked with for the first several months were impersonal, not particularly supportive of what I wanted out of the experience, and difficult to get a hold of with concerns! I was about 5 months along when I met Dee, and I knew from the first visit that I wanted to work with her instead. She was compassionate, caring, and immediately I felt that she was invested in me, personally. Because of some circumstances that worked out in my favor, I got to have all of my prenatal appointments with Dee in my home. I loved that, and I wish I could have that particular bonus every time! She was always informative about my condition; she helped me maintain good nutrition and do everything we could to help prepare my body for childbirth and lactation. She also went out of her way to prepare me emotionally, for childbirth and postpartum. I had a couple of false starts to my labor, and Dee was patient with me as I texted her back and forth. I loved that she was so responsive and easy to reach. Once things actually got moving, Dee was amazing. She promptly came to my home with her assistants, and through every stage of my labor she was calm, encouraging, and professional. I had an absolutely amazing water birth with my son. I tore, and after we got moved out of the pool, she stitched me together SO much better than I had endured with my first childbirth. She and her assistants got my little family settled, made sure baby and I had started well with breastfeeding, got the house cleaned up, made us a meal, and started the laundry before they left, at about 3:00am. They were amazing. Dee returned the next day for follow up, as well as checking in with me over the next few weeks. I sincerely have no complaints from working with Dee as my midwife. My husband and I are moving this summer, otherwise I would employ her as my midwife for every child I ever have!
