My husband and I were on a genealogy trip in the summer of 2018 and had a memorable two night stay at the Inne at Watson's Choice as we searched for ancestors stories in the area. Our hosts couldn't have been kinder or more helpful! Not only did they prepare perfect meals, and have a lovely room, they told us about the history of the inn, and helped us find local genealogists who could help us on our search. After all, they are on Balsinger Road, and I was looking for Balsinger ancestors! :-) We enjoyed walking around the beautiful property in the evenings. They had to laugh when I asked if there was any place nearby who sold rocks. I told them I liked to save rocks from places that are meaningful to me. I explained that my part of Texas has few rocks but lots of clay. They were still smiling when they said "we have a great big pile of rocks out back, so help yourself!" (I really wanted just two) I thought that was really sweet and thoughtful! I was very sad when I read the really negative review of their B&B and of them personally. They were nothing but kind to us. We love B&B's and always try to be guests that would be welcomed in someone's home, and give our hosts as good an experience with us as we would like to receive from them. read more

This review is based off of my experience of staying at the Inne for one night in July. We also had our wedding ceremony and reception here. First, some of these previous reviews are a bit harsh. I would like to mention that the innkeepers, Nancy and Bill, do run an extremely tight ship here at the Inne. With that being said, the moment you step on the property you would understand why. The outdoor areas are beautiful, and impeccably well maintained. Once you walk inside, you will notice antiques galore. There is nothing about this bed and breakfast that is overlooked or not taken care of. It's extremely clean, and they are still taking covid percussions. As you book your stay you will notice that this isn't a "Hampton Inn establishment" Nancy, the innkeeper keeps track of everything on her own, mostly with pen and paper. Nothing here is done at morph speed, and based off of other reviews, it seems as though some guests take this the wrong way. When you arrive, the innkeeper will meet you in person and ask you what you would like to drink for breakfast the next day and if you would prefer a 8AM, or 9AM dining time. This was my first time staying at a bed and breakfast, so I didn't really know what to expect. We stayed in the "Laurel Suite" which is also known as the honeymoon suite. It was $199 for the night, and most certainly worth it. The bed was giant, with a huge sitting area and private bathroom with jacuzzi tub. I was really pleased with how quiet the Inne was, we slept great! It was tough, but I managed to plan for all of the other rooms in the Inne to be booked by family and friends staying for our wedding, this was one of my favorite parts of the whole weekend! Just being able to be together for the wedding, know we were all safe, and then eat breakfast the next day was amazing. We also took full advantage of the beautiful firepit outside, we sat out there pretty late and just enjoyed the peace and quiet of the surrounding farmland. The next morning for breakfast I was very happy with what the innkeepers prepared for us, again, it was Nancy and Bill making the food and bringing it to our tables themselves. They do it all! Beautifully presented stuffed french toast. This wasn't an optional meal choice, but they did ask if each guest wanted sausage or not (which appeared to be high quality) Ultimately, our stay was great. We had a wonderful wedding and a wonderful stay. The area itself, although it may not feel like it on the property, is still in Uniontown PA which is a very slow paced town (I can say this, I grew up here) Uniontown is a very old school town, and for the reviewers to say they are not welcome here, I could understand the feeling but also would like to say as the bride who booked the entire bed and breakfast, spent lots of money, and stayed here... I still didn't get the "Hi, so happy you're here" feeling from the Inne. The personalities here are quite serious, and to the point. I am telling you, don't take it personally. Their home is attached to the Inne, and they take everything that happens here very seriously - along with who stays here, they just care deeply about the Inne, and after staying and seeing how involved they are, I can understand the personalities described a bit more - they're busy people, trying to keep this place in perfect shape. If you are someone traveling from out of town, visiting Ohiopyle, or other destinations in the area - this is a wonderful, beautiful, quaint place to stay. Don't expect anything to be "at your finger tips" like we tend to do these days, booking here is like you take a step back in time. To me, once we got through the booking and planning, everything was smooth sailing. Rooms are nice, clean and affordable - and breakfast is provided! The outdoor areas may not have a pool or anything, but there are hammocks, 0 gravity chairs, and other nice perks. Please be mindful when booking, I would ask if there is a wedding going on that evening - you might not have the peaceful stay that I described in my review (since we were the ones up late that night and there was no one else staying at the Inne) read more

This was the WORST hotel/B&B experience I have ever had. Only book this space if you like being emotionally and verbally abused by the inn keeper. Nancy only caters to a "specific group" of people, and treats a majority of her guests with a lack of dignity and respect. She is obtuse, disorganized, and even made a racially insensitive comment while we were staying there. My guest and I felt very unconformable and left the property as soon as we could. We made a complaint to Expedia and got a full refund as they couldn't believe how badly we were treated. Even if this place was the Ritz (which is not - uncomfortable beds, poor heating, etc.), I would only give the venue a one-star rating (and that would be generous). Yes, the experience was that horrible. Do yourself a favor - do not book a room, event or wedding here. Don't even stop near here. Don't support individuals who "run" a business that allows cruelty to others. read more

My family and I stayed for a week as we had a family reunion nearby.. Being the first time at a B & B I was very impressed by the place. Loved getting up in the morning and getting my coffee to go sit on the rocker on the patio and enjoy the quietness and nature around.. When you live in a city like Houston you don't get that.. The Owners were very friendly.. Breakfast was awesome as well.. Now if you don't like peace and quiet this place isn't for you.. Great for meditation and disconnecting yourself from a busy on the go life.. :-) We will definitely be back.. read more

We stayed here this past weekend, but only for one night unfortunately. We had an awesome experience and would definitely go back. When we arrived, we were greeted by Bill, who was very kind. He showed us the way to our room (we stayed in the "Americana" room) and around the campus. The property is absolutely beautiful and is much larger than we expected. We were in a separate house that had a guest pantry, fridge, wine glasses, and sitting room. There are also several places to sit outside and pathways that wind through little gardens. There are cows in the field and rows of corn growing. It's very peaceful. They are also putting in a fire pit, but sadly it wasn't ready yet when we were there. The accommodations are great. The bed was comfortable, the room temperature can be adjusted to your liking, and the room had a private bathroom. There is so much detail put into the property - I forgot q-tips (like I always do), but they had some in the bathroom! The breakfast was also delicious. You complete a card before you go to bed that states when you want to eat, what you want to have to drink, and if either person doesn't eat pork (I don't). Then you arrive at your scheduled time, and they know based on your room what you want to drink. We had coffee and an egg/corn/red pepper quiche kind-of concoction (both were very good). The bread was also amazing, but the star of the show had to be the berry cobbler (homemade). So, so good! All-in-all our stay was very relaxing, and the service and detail was incredible. We only stayed at this quaint little B&B for one night, but it was fantastic!! The property is located on 45 acres of more-or-less farmland that you can walk freely throughout. The outside areas feature an awesome screened in room with a ceiling fan and 360-degree windows for maximum enjoyment without the bugs. There are also hanging swings, an outdoor living room, koi pond, and hammock. We had a perfect summer day with comfortable temps and low humidity, enabling us to enjoy everything. The hosts are Bill and Nancy, who are super-personable. They were attentive to our needs and questions, and gave the already-homey environment a real personal touch. The breakfast was delicious with a baked ham quiche (essentially) with fantastic homemade salsa and fruit. We stayed in the Four Seasons room, which was very large with a great jet soaking tub. The King bed was extremely comfortable, and I woke up very refreshed. The only regret is that we only stayed one night!! read more

We recently stayed 2 nights at Watson's Choice for a getaway weekend. We loved this Inn and will definitely stay there on our next trip to the area. The room was very comfortable and clean, great for sleeping - dark, cool, very quiet. The breakfast was very good and the innkeepers very helpful. We stayed at the four seasons suite for one night which was very pleasant and as described on their website. The B & B is on a very pretty piece of property and is delightfully quiet. The breakfast sausage was delicious - I understand they have it made specially for the Inne. The lactose intolerant should beware. She won't give you lactose free milk or soy milk, even if you ask nicely, and in advance. read more

We enjoyed three nights at the Inne at Watson's Choice, staying in the Apple Orchard and the Pineapple Queen rooms. The hosts, Bill and Nancy, were most hospitable and welcoming. The rooms are thoughtfully appointed and comfortable with all you need. The hot breakfast was delicious each morning--hot coffee, fresh squeezed orange juice, fruit cup, toasted homemade bread, homemade sausage, delicious egg dishes, sweet breads. All so good. The back patio/courtyard area has both covered and uncovered spaces for seating and overlooks a lovely large grassy field, perfect for watching a sunset. Parking is easy, water is hot, wi-fi is strong. As of 5/26/21 all Covid precautions are being carefully followed. From this location we easily visited Fallingwater, Kentuck Knob, Ohiopyle State Park, Ft Necessity, Friendship Hill Nat'l Historic Site, Polymath Park and Tree Tops Restaurant, the Flight 93 National Memorial. We stayed here on our way to Falling Water. We notified them that we would be arriving a little late (around 7:30pm), and when we arrived (although we called 5 minutes prior to getting there), no one greeted us - it literally took 10 minutes for someone to appear. When we told them our tour started at 8:45am the next day, they were not happy or gracious about offering us breakfast earlier than the other guests. They simply said, "You'll have to do with a continental breakfast!" which was just fine with us, but we were upset about them making us feel like we were putting them out. As we were walking to the room, the man helping us told us that we should leave at 8am the next day to arrive on time for our tour. The next morning, we were greeted by another member of staff who was not friendly either. She scolded us for not leaving sooner as it was "the first day of hunting season and the country roads would be busy." When she said this, we quickly finished our coffee (accompanied by no cereal... just muffins) and went to collect our bags to leave as quickly as possible. As we were leaving, no one came to the door to say goodbye. We even looked for someone to leave the key with, but no one was there. It was the worst B&B experience that I've ever had. We like B&Bs because they tend to be friendly and it's an added benefit to our trip. I would not recommend this place whatsoever. It was clean and 30 minutes away from Falling Waters (we did leave at 8am and got there 10 minutes early), but it lacks charm and warmth. read more

My boyfriend and I stayed here this past weekend for his birthday weekend. We stayed in the Americana room, which was very spacious, clean and comfortable. The property is also beautiful. There were lots of sitting areas, a hammock, firepit, and beautiful views and scenery. The brownies and oatmeal craisin cookies and lemonade that you could find where you checked in, in the afternoons, were a delightful treat, and the quiet and calm at nite were very welcome. Despite other reviews of the innkeepers being unpleasant, we found them very pleasant, although we also weren't around a whole bunch to interact with them. The location is also great - about 30 minutes from Ohiopyle and Fallingwater. We were able to find a bunch of activities to do in the area - including mini golf, a winery visit, farmer's markets and antique stores, as well as good places to eat (we recommend Dr. McCarthy's Kitchen in Hopwood, which was delicious!). We would definitely love to come back and stay here again. read more

A wonderful place to stay! Lovingly restored old home with attention paid to every last detail. The property with it's gardens, summer room, covered porch, Adirondack chairs and amazing views are simply the best I've seen in any B&B I've stayed at. The hosts, Bill & Nancy, are great - they think of everything, from a small fridge for wine, wine glasses & corkscrew to chocolates & cookies, to a binder with reviews of and menus for local restaurants. Rooms are centrally air-conditioned which is not typical for a B & B and the rates are reasonable. Beds comfortable, rooms are a great size, everything is spotless. We came for Fallingwater and Kentuck Knob, so this was a big plus! read more
