Despite other reviews, I never heard the train! We stayed on lot 120 on ginkgo rd which was smaller than what the pictures portrayed on the website but there was definitely enough room for two of us and my suv. Had a picnic table and a fire ring with a grill plate for cooking. They sell ice and firewood across the street from the campground, cash only. You can bring a hammer for the tent pegs but we just used a rock because as others have stated, the terrain is a bit rocky/harder ground. Wasn't a problem though. No alcohol permitted but you can get away with it, just don't be an obnoxious rude drunk and you'll be fine. No one came around trying to "get cha" if you had booze but also don't advertise it. Tip for people with kids! -site 126 has a little playground on it! Thought that was neat. Yes it's a bit crowded but wasn't really a problem for us, we were gone most of the day as there is so much to do there for the active outdoorsy type. If you're gonna be at your camp site 24/7 then yea I guess the crowdedness could be a problem. Overall, would camp there again! read more

Sites are pretty good, and I like the sound of a train. My issue is the bathrooms and lack of internet service. The showers in the women's bathhouse in the Cherry area don't drain. The showers are quite cramped with no real changing area. The sinks are the 1960's style, with a separate hot and cold faucet so you can only have one or the other. IMO, it's past time for new bathhouses. I don't expect WiFi but be aware if you have T-Mobile, you're outta luck for cell service too. Fayette Co. does offer free WiFi in the "downtown" area but it's not convenient to the campground. read more

Did lots of research and read that the walk to sites are more private and secluded. It is true. We very much enjoyed site 105. Lots of space. Could fit 2 tents easily. Could barely see the neighbors and could barely hear anything. There is a little walk to the site on a gravel/dirt path so prepare for that! I highly recommend a wagon. It made things a lot easier. Bathroom is a little walk too. Would still recommend this site though. You can also catch the trail to town right behind the walk to sites. They had wood and ice self serve which was nice too. read more

We stayed here for 3 nights and loved the tree lined lanes. Each section was beautiful and wooded allowing privacy between sites. Cherry road site 34 is quite spacious!!! The bathhouses are located in each section which was great because we never had to wait in line in the morning. There are only 3 shower stalls and they aren't new, but the staff cleaned they'll every day. The camping is close to Cucumber Falls and the natural water slides which are easy hikes. My only complaint is that the showers must have been built for people who are 5 foot 2...I had to squat and do a backbend to even wash my hair. #tallgirlproblems read more

It seems that more sites than not, have a very long walk to the bathroom. This can be a little creepy at night by yourself with all the animal noises around you. Staff was friendly. A simple & rustic campground that I keep on coming back to. It is no secret that I love Ohiopyle, and Kentuck is my favorite campground to stay at. Sites are reservable online as well as over the phone, and check in is quick and easy! All staff is very friendly, and I love the added security of patrols at night to ensure everyone is safe and secure! There is wood, kindling, and ice available 24/7 on site(sometimes manned, sometimes self service). There are numerous bathroom/shower facilities throughout the campground that are kept clean and stocked with flush toilets and hot showers. Nothing fancy, but who needs that when camping?! There are playgrounds for kids as well, but mostly is a quiet campground. I have stayed on Aspen Loop and Birch Road, both of which have really nice non-electric spots. I have stayed in spot 10,, 2, and 13. Spot 10 is a little steep with the grade, but is isn't bad by all means. I do love spots 2 and 13 though! Both are fairly wooded and secluded from the sites around you. I don't think you can go wrong with any spot on either road. We have never used a spot that had electricity, but we tend to like camping without it or rarely have a need for it. It is a state park so alcohol is prohibited, which seems what most the bad reviews are about. There is a big sign before you enter the campground stating this, so it should not come as a surprise. Enjoy relaxing at the campground, ride your bike down the trail, or take a short drive to main street Ohiopyle! You cannot go wrong with camping this close to this fantastic gem in PA! read more

This is your basic camp, but its very rustic. You're in the woods on a mountain. They offer sites with and without electric. They also have select sites for those with pets. Restrooms werent bad and also has showers and a dish washing sink. Camp sold firewood and ice, fyi. There are park rangers who go around the campground. A bad thunderstorm hit and they were driving around. I felt safe knowing they were around. Entire state park prohibits alcohol so no drinking allowed. Our tent site was very rocky but we made it work . luckily we had a tire iron to hammer stakes in ground so be sure to bring a hammer. We camped at site 41. It was large and not on top of close sites. Camp is super close to Cucumber Falls. I intend on heading back but would most likely camp at in a yurt. It rained and just wasn't ideal to tent. read more

I don't understand these poor reviews bc we just camped there this weekend and everything was lovely. The difference must be that I camped in the "off season" (weekend of October 10) and in the summer, this campground is almost always fully booked and its hard to keep up with the cleaning. I always camp in the Walk In sites (F Loop) bc they are quiet and secluded. Added bonus: this being the pet area, the presence of so many dogs keeps pets away. Every year for my birthday we camp, and I like to get TWO sites up here, so that our party can kind of spread out. Pictures below are sites 107 & 108, and 105 & 103 look identical. These are the 4 best walk in sites. These sites connect to each other. I also have camped in 104 & 106 and while nice, those sites were not as level and were not as secluded. There is a trail that you can take right behind these sites which is nice, and there are bathrooms nearby. The showers are a small hike, but not bad. If you have never camped in the fall I cannot more highly recommend it. There is ice and firewood on hand for purchase, which is very helpful! It was absolutely beautiful this weekend, I am super depressed today is Monday and my trip is over! read more

Had a great time here. This was my first time camping in the Ohiopyle area. Got here midday, picked up some wood which was reasonably priced at the concession spot located right at the entrance. Check in was easy. We were at site #64 which is a walk-in. Was able to park in the lot and there was a few minute slight uphill walk to the site. The bathroom at the base of the walk was semi-clean. Our site was nice and secluded. There was a picnic table and fire ring. We had an eight person tent and a four person tent that easily fit on the site. There was a little access path that put you out on the Great Gorge Trail. It was about a 30-40 minute hike to the Great Allegheny Passage (including a scenic bridge that overlooked the Youghiogheny River) and then the downtown Ohiopyle area. read more

We were at walk-in site #108. It is a LONG walk from the parking lot. Be careful when booking the walk-in sites, they may be secluded, but you don't want to be too secluded from the parking! Hauling your gear up to a quarter mile may not be so desirable! We lucked out on check-out day, and the RV on Hickory behind us was gone, so we could just park in that spot and carry a shorter distance. So, yes. The walk-in sites are otherwise fantastic! It's great to be in Ohiopyle, where even when it rains there's stuff to do. Hiking and access to waterfalls for all levels of ability, an the campground isn't too far from any of it. Site #108 is fairly slanted, but has gravel/dirt pads for two tents and a connecting path to 107. All sites have a fire ring and picnic table, and a pole or two to hang stuff/trash from. read more

Kentuck has a great variety of sites, from very exposed and close, to some of the most remote walk-in sites I've seen. But as other reviewers have mentioned, they do not enforce quiet time. On Friday night, I could hear loud talking and music close to midnight. I walked over to see what was going on, and it was the site right next to the campground hosts, who were also up. I was staying in a completely different part of the campground and I could still hear them, so anyone nearby would have had their night ruined. On Saturday night, I didn't hear any parties, but several very loud families turned up. I've stayed at a lot of campgrounds, and this one had the rudest guests. To be fair, I almost always camp during the week to avoid these types. If you have to camp on the weekend, I recommend avoiding this place. read more

First time we spent the weekend at Kentuck Campground, Ohiopyle and will be the LAST. We arrived around 9:00 pm on Friday evening to pouring down rain. Sat in the vehicles till the rain stopped. We put our tents up and then stood around the table eating and talking. Roger Ranger arrived and told us we were to loud. We were talking in a normal voice, nothing loud, no laughing, nothing boisterous. We were all shocked. I said that was ridiculous. He told us we were talking to loud and if we didn't quite down he would throw us out. My Sister said, "Oh we are supposed to whisper?" He then informed her not to give him an attitude. Wow!! All I can say is give a guy a uniform!! Never again! We will stay at Benner's Meadow Run Campground down the road a couple of miles. We have been camping for over 40 years, we know what quite time is. Nuff said. read more

Kentuck Campgrounds is a ~150 site camper/drive in/tent campground located in Ohiopyle State Park. Kentuck is probably the worst campground that I have been to. The campground is dark, eternally damp and somewhat rundown. Ohiopyle overall is a great place for a DAY trip. There are some great views, hiking, waterfalls, whitewater rafting and canoeing. A group of 7 of us stayed at Kentuck sites 78 (drive-in) and 109 (walk-in). Campsite 109 was tiny, on a ~10% grade with a water runoff path through the site, it barely accommodated a single 8x8 tent. We had to move the picnic table and wet logs to make room for a few chairs around a fire pit. I used a large flat rock in a somewhat successful attempt to level the campsite. The staff was somewhat unfriendly. A man at the ranger station seemed really inconvenienced by us checking in, I don't know why. After setting up at site 78, starting a fire and getting ready to cook dinner, 2 rangers came over and one stated "There seems to be a misunderstanding about park rules and regulations. Dogs are not allowed here, and sites are limited to 5 people." I explained that we had 2 sites, 1 was dog friendly and there were 7 of us for 2 sites. The Rangers said we needed to move immediately. They wouldn't let us finish cooking dinner. Our Springer Spaniel wasn't doing anything other than laying in a blanket warming up after an adventurous day, and we were not being loud. I wasn't aware it was a no-dog site, and that was a misunderstanding on my part. It appeared selectively enforced, as we saw dogs at other no-dog sites. The rangers checked on us specifically several times during the evening/night. Almost as if they wanted us to know 'troublemakers' aren't welcome. I would recommend making Ohiopyle a day trip or staying somewhere other than Kentuck Campgrounds. read more

Maybe this is just how campgrounds are in the northland, but wow, I felt more crowded here than I do in a city! Pros: Location. This park is located in the heart of so many activities and sights, such as white water rafting, Frank Lloyd Wright's falling water, biking, hiking, and lots of natural beauty. If I ever camp here again, this will be the ONLY reason I would camp here. Unlike others, we had no pestering by rangers. In fact, I did not spot a ranger until 24 hours after we arrived. Cons: 1. Campsites are packed in like sardines. Our neighbor was completely adjacent to us with only a mere shrub to "separate." Our fire pits were 20 feet apart. It was ridiculous. Our "furthest" neighboring site was maybe 25-30 feet from our fire pit. There was absolutely no privacy. I have more privacy sitting on my back deck in the heart of a city of half a million people. 2. The campsite does not allow alcohol. Maybe it's done differently in PA, but in more southern parts, it's unheard of to go camping without some beer in hand. I get that they want it to be family friendly, but prohibiting alcohol in the great outdoors is blasphemy in my book. We did not see this being enforced, but we also weren't too chancy about it either. 3. Quiet hours (9pm-8am). Quiet hours are fine with me, if people mostly follow them and the rangers aren't total jerks about enforcing them. At this campground, it really did get eerily quiet at 9pm. Our group seemed to be one of the few awake at that hour, and we were respectful of others by speaking quietly around the fire (plus our neighbors 20ft away weren't home yet). HOWEVER, come 7am I was awakened by screaming boy scouts (probably 40ft away) and a baby that wouldn't stop crying for "Momm-a." I'll give the baby some slack, but the boy scouts and their troupe leaders?? C'mon! The screaming and yelling continued all morning until about 9 or 10am when they finally left for their day activities. This was the loudest campsite of sober people I have ever experienced. I camp a lot, and don't believe in sleeping in the car, but after all the screaming, the car became my only refuge from the noise. 4. Firewood. They request you buy firewood to prevent bringing in foreign insects. We happily obliged and bought the firewood sold by the state park. When we went to burn it at 8-9pm for dinner, we quickly found out they sold us green wood, as in it's too new to burn. We tried for an hour to get the wood to go with no luck. If you're going to require campers buy wood, please make sure it is ready for burning. In short, I agree with Kevin R. that this is the worst campground I have ever been too. It felt overcrowded, over regulated, and overpriced. I hope to never pay money to sleep that close and crowded to strangers. It is not camping. It is more reminiscent of living in an 150 unit apartment complex that happens to have no walls. If I were forced to camp here again, I would insist on grabbing a walk-in spot which had some wooded coverage around it. These spots or the yurts may be your only hope at a semblance of privacy. read more

A typical State run campground for the most part. But what you'll find is that they disregard a lot comfort and price related things because of it's proximity to Falling Water, Kentuck Knob, and Ohiopyle. Pros - Location. 10 mins to Cucumber Falls and The main strip in Ohiopyle 15 mins to Fallingwater 5 mins to Kentuck Knob Fairly clean bathrooms. Cons - Price, $23.00 and up per night?! Sites are very small. No free firewood. The onsite firewood is 6 bucks 10 small pieces and 2.50 for kindling. Not enough bathrooms. Drinking water tastes like gasoline. Sites provide absolutely 0 privacy. You are literally right next to your neighbor. Noise, a railroad crossing is nearby so you'll hear the train whistle all night. My advice get a hotel room or find another campsite. read more

This is the loudest campground we have ever stayed in. And super crowed with people on top of each other. We camp to relax and unwind. Don't plan on doing that here, at least in the summer. We booked a walk-in site for privacy. After hauling all of our stuff up a steep hill, we set up in the clean and well maintained, fairly level site (113). Both Friday and Saturday night there were families that stayed up well past midnight blasting music, yelling at each other with foul language, just making tons of noise. You could hear them throughout the park and no one ever came to shut them up. Sunday morning they were back up at 6:00 a.m. throwing stuff into their truck, breaking down camp, and still cussing at each other. Not as easy to get to town from the camp as they make you believe. Definitely crossing that one off the list of places to camp. read more

Pro's: proximity to biking (GAP trail), kayaking/whitewater sports, hiking and just an overall great outdoors experience. Falling Waters is close by and worth the visit. Campground is more rustic than most state parks I've visited in MD/PA/WVa, but that's part of its charm. Con's: if you are towing a trailer, very steep grade so check website for alternate route and use it. Bike trail connector is steep and can be difficult to climb/descend. Take your time. It's not a large campground and due to its popularity, sites may be difficult to come by. OVERALL: I love camping here despite some of the negative reviews. It's a beautiful place and great outdoor experience, which more than compensates for a few deficiencies. We do a guy's weekend and the biking and kayaking are second to none! read more

We rented one of the walled tents. Our friends had another of the walled tents. Both of the smelled like mold, but ours was worse. It was so bad, someone had removed the top bunk from one of the beds, because you could see the mold just growing wild on the ceiling of the tent. The screen on the back of the tent has a ton of holes in it, so it's not keeping anything out. The front door doesn't close all the way, and the screen is completely missing from it. My husband had to sleep in the car because of the mold. The area is beautiful. You can hear the train, but if the tent hadn't smelled so bad the train wouldn't have been so irritating, heh. There were tons of neat fungus to see growing everywhere. There are chipmunks everywhere just playing around. The creek is awesome for the kids to explore in. read more

Smaller campground despite the number of spots in it. Disappointed in the size of most of the sites and the fact that they are jammed in like sardines. Pads are not defined so you can spread out a bit but be prepared to be intimate with your neighbors. I do like the woodsie setting. Train whistles nearby do disturb the peacefulness as did the incessant syrupy music of the ice cream truck making it's rounds. Tight two way "streets" make hauling and backing your camper into tight spots a challenge. Bring a real hammer and beefy steel stakes as this is very rocky ground with uneven terrain. Hope you brought your leveling blocks. Bathrooms are nearby and decent but showers houses are not so convenient to most campsites. Tons to do around here but don't count on world class dining in the area and plan to eat early if eating out. Lots of places for soups and sandwiches if that's your thing. Seems most places close early so plan accordingly. This campground is secluded in the hills and had steep twisty roads leading to the campground itself. Hope you have trailer brakes if hauling a camper. Probably would come back but may be more site selective on future endeavors. read more

We camped here October 6-8. The amenities at the campground are all very nice; bathrooms are clean, well stocked and super convenient. Along with bathrooms and showers, there are also stations to wash your dishes and potable water outside of the restrooms and a water station on each street. The 24 hour ice and firewood is a super convenient item, but make sure you have cash. Overall, a great spot to camp and enjoy the beautiful Laurel Highlands. read more

This would have been 4 stars if the rangers weren't idiots. We got to the site about 10pm...and had a couple of beers and just chatting....10pm not 2am!...the sneaked up and ended up telling us to stop drinking and made each of us dump our beers and warned us if they came back they'd give us tickets!!! We're 30 to 40 year old adults...not kids!!! Idiots. This was on the first night and we would have taken it if they said...look keep it down, keep drinks covered and don't make us have to come back. That would have been the common sense thing to do. Then the next night someone was playing loud music til 2am and nothing happened so !?!? They did come back to on the 3rd day and we were just drinking bourbon in coffee cups and they still spotted the bottle of bourbon on the floor behind a chair and made us tip that out!!! Come on seriously?! But at least they didn't give us tickets.... Another point was they sell you the plot for 10 people sites but if you have more than one car they charge you $5 for parking there!?!?!? Why sell as a quick person...? What one car takes 10 people and camping gear!? This place has actually put us off camp sites in state parks for good now. Plus side this place is a good location. They have showers too. read more

I was really surprised to see the negative reviews because we had a great time here! In the section we camped, the sites were not right on top of each other and the bathrooms were clean. The campground is very conveniently located by the bike path, which is a great way to get into town! I saw a few other people complain about the sound of the trains, but I really enjoyed that aspect. You'll get some great views of the trains throughout the park. I definitely plan on returning here again soon! read more

Kentuck Campground In Ohiopyle State Park is a state run campground, and as such your expectations should be centered around this fact. Yes the campsites can be close together as some reviewers have said, but some commercial ones are much worse. Kentuck Campground is heavily wooded, nicely laid out, centrally located to scenic sites, trails, and the main town in the state park. It is fairly priced, though not cheap, the bathrooms are kept clean and operational as much as you can expect. Our restroom even had a dish washing double sink which was a really pleasant surprise. The water is tinged with tree tannin, but very drinkable and clean. These are the best parts of the campground. Some of the cons are the no alcohol policy, the woods makes for more bugs though they did not bother us at all and after all it is called camping. The wood situation in my opinion is suspect. You are required to purchase fire wood from their self-serve concession. $6 a bundle or 2 for $11. Kindling is $2.50 per bundle. The wood however is not seasoned and difficult to burn. Our weekend was rainy and the wood though not sopping wet was damp which made getting the fire going more difficult. The owners of the wood vending were there on Saturday and had three brand new super duty trucks, which make me believe the vending business is alive and kicking. Next time I may just bring my own wood, guaranteed invasive bug free. My wife and I plan on going back to Kentuck. It is a beautiful campground for a fair price in a great central location. Though not perfect, it is better than the other nearby options. My family left there happy with the campground after a very enjoyable weekend. read more

Everyone can see what you're doing. Which in my mind isn't really camping - Voices echo throughout the park - Extremely strict on the "no alcohol" policy - Our particular campsite was on a hill, so it has awkward trying setting up the tent on a flat spot I would recommend trying to find a spot that has a lot of distance between each other. Decent campground but seems to have a lot of rules. Alcohol is not permitted in state parks. Maximum 2 tents/5 people at each campsite. Quiet hours start at 9pm. We were told at check-in that park rangers would be coming around to check campsites. We tried to rent a second campsite so that we could put up all 4 of our tents but there weren't 2 sites available next to each other. We never saw a ranger and wished that we'd set up our other tents anyway, especially after we noticed several campsites that had more than 2 tents up. We did drink but tried to be subtle about it and didn't get rowdy. Our second night, there were kids running around and screaming after 9pm and we could hear a singalong a few campsites away. So quiet hours aren't really observed, at least on the weekends. The showers are fairly clean and have hot water and surprisingly good water pressure. There is ice, firewood and kindling for sale (open 24/7) across from the campground entrance. Just check the wood first because they let it sit out in the rain and it was nearly impossible to start a fire. We were at site #103 and I heard the train several times. It's not super close but close enough to wake me up once, even with earplugs. We hiked (about 30 mins each way) into town for the wine festival and that was a good time. We drove about 5 mins to Cucumber Falls but you could hike if you wanted to. Not sure if we'll be back due to the limited capacity and alcohol rules but it's a great campground for smaller groups and families. read more

Having read the other reviews, I feel like I stayed at a different campground. We rented a Yurt for 2 nights. While, I wish that the people before us had done their job and swept the Yurt out, I had no problems with it. They could fix the screens up, instead of pushing wads of paper towels through the holes, so they bugs don't come in but, hey...it's camping and the State runs the place. We had a very large group behind us that screamed about their "beers" so I didn't see or hear any rangers roaming to stop drinking. Thankfully, a heavy thunderstorm came and those fools must have left. There are rules everywhere, if the rules say no drinking, then don't drink! If it's so important to get blasted when you camp, there are plenty of other campgrounds near Ohiopyle. Showers and bathrooms were nearby and for the most part, pretty well kept and clean. And, there was a great sink to wash dishes in! We never were at a loss for hot water. Ohioplye proper, the rapids, and bike trail are very accessible from the campground BUT, after a long day, climbing the "trail" back up the hill to the campsite isn't the most fun thing. We had a great time, and I'd go back in a flash! read more

I've returned to Kentuck Campground twice since writing my original review. I still stand by everything I said in my original post, and I still enjoy and recommend this place, but I can see where people's visits could be hit-or-miss. It just depends on where in the park you wind up staying. We reserved last-minute last year and wound up wedged into a more cramped spot. This year we picked a well-located spot, but wound up camping on gravel instead of dirt. So pick wisely and pay attention to those site photos! I also raved about the bathrooms in my last review. My shower was still pretty amazing this year, but this time the bathroom had a light that didn't turn on (nobody could find a switch anywhere), was out of soap, and the hand dryer was broken. So, again, it's a pretty typical campground, and the degree of awesomeness of your experience might vary a little. read more

Stayed one night at Kentuck this past weekend. Incredibly clean facilities, nice staff. Says no alcohol, but the 4 of us drank around the fire for the majority of the night. That said, we weren't too crazy and didn't make too much noise. There's firewood, kindling, and ice available right outside the check-in gate. 2 bundles for $11. You pay on an honor system. So have cash b/c there's not anyone there to give you change.There's also an overflow lot for parking if you have more than 2 cars in your group. Recycling and trash on site, too. The campground itself is at the top of a mountain, probably 5 minutes from the town's center. Everything you could ever need is available in town so don't worry if you forget anything. We had 2 tents that fit comfortably on a walk-up site. There were cabins and yurts if you don't really want to rough it. We didn't have electricity but there were sites with electricity. And there were outlets in the bathrooms. Check in was at 3 in the afternoon. we got there early saturday morning and took advantage of the bike trail (bike rentals were $3/hour). All in all, really awesome place to go for the weekend. And incredibly cheap to get away. read more

Had a great time staying here & visiting the surrounding areas. Firewood is available 24/7 & I've too which was very helpful. Campground is easily navigated and checked in. A tad rough for renting since every site is gravel. The only thing we were disappointed in was there were no playgrounds in the campground. The maps all state that there are yet we couldn't actually fine one. read more

For this review, it is important to understand that I haven't been camping in over 30 years, and was in a nice rental RV from Cruise America with my two sons, age 16 and 12. My only frame of reference is the four other campgrounds we stayed in on our 11 day trip. First off, it is a beautiful area, and the access to Fallingwater, and Laurel Canyons, as well as the number of whitewater rafting outfits can't be beat. There is a very steep trail (not bike-able except by advanced intermediates, by my estimate) down to the river. The campsites are well-shaded by mature trees and, largely level. It is very pretty, and the spacing was as good or better than any other campground we went to. However, the facilities were just disgusting. I appreciate how difficult it must be to keep these things clean, especially on a weekend (we were there Sat-Sun-Mon nights) but it was awful. My sons opted to shower in the tiny RV shower, and using the restroom was awful. On top of the cleaning, the maintenance is really starting to fall behind. Whole strips of tile on the floor were missing, and that just leads to an awful mess. State campgrounds are certainly less expensive than others, but they need to charge campers more, and do a much better job keeping it clean and maintained. The last thing that bothered me is that on the whole trip we only bought one batch of firewood that just didn't burn well-of course it was here. That vendor needs to be checked much more closely as the wood was caked with dirt, and had obviously sat on the ground for a long period of time. It was dry, just filthy. read more

I completely DISAGREE w/Kevin R from Dauphin, PA. We have been camping for several years @ Kentuck Campgrounds/Ohiopyle and have never had problems with the staff, other campers, the campsites, water run-off, etc. However, permitting pets is new to this campground, so I can not comment on how that may affect any future camping weekends - but I was not in agreement with making sites "pet friendly" as I believe there will be some pet owners who feel they are in the woods, so why do they need to clean up after their dogs I am an animal lover (own 1 dog and 2 cats) but would NEVER take them camping as I would not want to disturb others hoping to have a nice, quiet, relaxing weekend. read more

My wife and I stayed in one of the yurts. The campground was very hard to find, but fairly conveniently located within a short drive of the trails and activities. The yurt was very clean. My biggest objections would be with the difficulty to find and unavailability of any staff. When we were able to get ahold of them, they seemed very unhelpful and uncaring. The area was very quiet, clean and peaceful. Would recommend, just be prepared for a journey in trying to find the place. read more
