Highlight: Over the Falls Burger ($15), Soft Serve Vanilla Ice Cream Crispy fries, like a chip, hot in temperature, and some were a little bit burnt. The burger was juicy with fresh veggies and offered a thick patty. The bread was nice and thin and sweet. The bacon was crunchy and thick, and the cheese was thin, so the taste wasn't overpowering. The ice cream did not have a cute shape, and there was a hint of sweetness and milkiness, with an overall good soft serve consistency. The waffle cone was nice and crunchy. Stopped by after a hike around the river, and it was a great choice! The burger was delicious juicy and flavorful. The fries were a bit overdone, but still edible. The staff was super friendly, and the menu had an impressive variety of options. Definitely a nice spot to grab a bite! Falls Market in Ohiopyle gets super busy on beautiful summer days with bicyclists, white water rafters, tourists, and others enjoying the beauty of Ohiopyle State Park and the surrounding area. In the heart of it all is Falls Market. I went inside to the main dining area but it was way too crowded and noisy, so I went to the outside patio area which was much better. Here, I had open air with a good view. They had run out of menus but they had a nice area serving hot dogs, so I had one of them with onions, mustard, and ketchup which had a good, tasty hot fog flavor. What I liked best, however, was the fun outdoor atmosphere of the place. It was both refreshing and relaxing. read more

A perfect spot to stop on a road trip. I am not well versed in Philly cheese steaks but the one I had here was memorable. Seasoned meat, with heaps of melted cheese in a toasted bun. So satisfied. Also ordered some chocolates for dessert here and they were excellent. Combined with the nearby park seating overlooking the river made for an excellent lunch. Would definitely return. read more

A little disappointed in Falls Market. I was visiting family that live on the east coast and my aunt suggested spending a day in Ohiopyle. Perfect!! By the end of museums, natural water slides, hikes, recreational stuff, shopping, we were ready to eat... We (4 of us) ordered: Bean salad Veggie Black Bean burger Santa Fe Veggie Sweet Teas BBQ Beef Cheese Pizza For hungry appetites and $60 worth of food.... I was expecting, at the very least, flavor? No flavor. No seasoning. Flies in and around the establishment. The pizza was so thin and lackluster that you have better options grabbing a low grade grocery brand. Even the staff were a little overwhelmed when taking this large order, which, I understand it can be a little overwhelming but.... they're located in a tourism location. What do you expect to serve? Spent a long weekend in Ohiopyle and this was the first and only place we stopped in for meals at. The proximity to the river, the bridge, and the visitor center was perfect and allowed us to enjoy the views will we munched on burgers night one and pizza night two! The wait for food wasn't too long which is great considering we were traveling with two under two! The staff were friendly, the food was fresh, and the music/radio was cranking some classic alternative rock tunes that I really dug. In Ohiopyle for the weekend and ended up eating here twice. Not so much by choice, but it wasn't a bad choice either. We had hoped to try another restaurant but it was closed for a wedding. Falls Market is part of a convenience store. Lots of seating both inside and outside. It is right across the street from Ohiopyle falls and very busy! The service is pretty fast though! I got a burger the first night and a pulled pork sandwich the second night. We got a small pizza for our toddler and the second night my husband shared a regular size pizza with our son. They also had a high chair behind the counter for our son to use, we just had to ask. The food was pretty good, but felt expensive. What I didn't realize was that dipping sauces were $1.50 extra and I got several to go with our meals. Oops! Overall a good experience. read more

Had breakfast here while in Ohiopyle last week. Tried to go to the bakery and sandwich shop but their posted hours were wrong (went there for lunch and didn't like it). Falls Market is half restaurant, half convenient store. They didn't have a ton of breakfast options, but I got a breakfast sandwich with egg, cheese, and turkey sausage in rye bread and it came with hash browns for $7 which I thought was a deal. Sandwich was quick and staff was friendly. They have napkins, forks, and mayo and mustard outside on a cart which I was able to easily grab as I left. read more

My brother and I were looking for somewhere to grab lunch after finishing up a quick overnight backpacking trip on the Laurel Highlands trail. After walking the few little streets of Ohiopyle and weighing our 2 other options, we settled on Falls Market. We felt it was a bit pricey for being a counter service place, but I guess that's a result of being one of the few dining options in the area. Service was fast. We waited in line only a few minutes to get to the counter. We were able to get a seat in the shaded patio area with a nice view of the water. Our food was ready within 5-10 minutes and we felt the serving sizes were adequate for the price. The burger wasn't anything out of the ordinary, but definitely hit the spot after a long day of hiking. I was excited by the variety of toppings available for the fries. The napkin and sauce station was equipped with ketchup, mustard, salt, and malt vinegar. I ended up going the salt and vinegar route because these seemed like the perfect fries for that combo! read more

What a beautiful place, Ohioplye does not disappoint, staff is nice and kind - I got the crispy chicken wrap, and for a tourist trap this place does the trick quite good after a long hike along the mohongihalia river - Me lady got a veggie wrap, me lady is a vegetarian now but don't worry we will still get our fair share of meat reviews, but now with some added color (green) less beige notes to the color pallet of these reviews! read more

Stopped in on Sunday of Labor Day weekend. We expected it to be busy - there was a line at least 10 deep to order and eat on the patio. But the line moved fast, and the employees were efficient. I ordered a buffalo wrap sandwich, which was good. Partner had a pit beef wrap, which she liked as well. My kids had a cheeseburger and a grilled cheese. Prices were pretty high - $8 for a kids meal, $14 for a wrap sandwich that doesn't include a drink - but in a touristy spot on the main drag that isn't a shocker. I liked the cole slaw, but the french fries were soggy. None of the three orders of french fries were eaten; they're in my fridge as leftover and I'm hoping to broil them to crisp them up and make them edible. The patio appeared to be dog-friendly; there were water bowls and a few tables had dogs sitting at them. I wish I'd known before I came, my pup would have loved the people watching! Would probably return if I was at the park nearby, or checking out the falls or natural waterslides nearby. read more

I think every time I visit Nemacolin, Seven Springs, Hidden Valley or Ohiopyle I have to stop in here and grab something, whatever it may be at the time. This place has everything, and I do mean everything you might need while in the area hiking, biking, rafting or camping. Need bug spray [ x ] Need a cooler [ x ] Need a hiking stick [ x ] They have great food and a wonderful area to sit outside and enjoy your prepared food or beverage of choice while mingling with the locals or with people from all across the USA. It is always packed in the summer months so expect a long wait time for anything you order to eat during this time of year. I have always liked this place because it's just cool like the whole town of Ohiopyle which is one of my favorite places to go for biking and hiking. My opinion is this is a great place in a great town with great people :) read more

Quick service, great BBQ pulled pork sandwich - a literal mountain of pulled pork. Nothing else on the sandwich other than pulled pork; I'm not complaining. Also respect that the condiments include not only typical BBQ sauce, salt and pepper but also hot sauce, jerk seasoning (!), cayenne, and malt vinegar (?!?!). Cheap indoor grab and go market inside that also serves ice cream. Cute little patio area to sit outside with free Wi-Fi. Or you can be like me and take your haul down to the Youghiogheny and soak in the sites and sounds of Ohiopyle. Recommend the bean salad as a side though the fries looked pretty good too. read more

Despite what Yelp may tell you, this is apparently the only place open for lunch on a weekday during the off season. It has a surprisingly deep menu of basic Americana. Hubby's cheeseburger filled him up, which is too bad, because the fries were good. My wrap was also tasty, but I should have ordered the fries instead of the slaw. We drank water we had brought with us, so I can't speak to the fountain drinks. It's a full-service convenience store, so you can pick up snacks for the trail, or spoil your dinner with hand-scooped ice cream. There are gender-segregated restrooms. We ate inside because of the cold, but there is also plenty of outdoor seating if the weather is nice and/or you don't want to eat inside around unmasked people. Stayed at the hostel during a group bike trip on the GAP. The place was freshly renovated and my room was very comfortable. The only thing that got me was the smell of grease that I was breathing while trying to get some sleep. Somehow it should be ventilated better so as not to smell the kitchen down below. Otherwise, I had a great night's sleep. read more

I stayed here with my daughter in our way through the GAP trail Real nice stay. Cozy room, hot water and a place to keep the bikes. Great options for food. The ceiling fan could have used some longer chains,, I had to stand on my bed to operate it and the light and I was still too short. The shower could have used some soap in it. read more

I had to eat here twice, dinner and breakfast the next day. I say 'had to' because everything else in town was closed up for the season. Dinner was a pretty good hot roast beef sandwich with gravy, and gravy on the fries. But their fryer oil had turned rancid and it ruined those fries. All that and an extraordinary long wait for the bill. Returning the next morning i knew not to get anything from their fryer, and thought to stick with bacon and eggs, that was OK, scrambled eggs are pretty easy to cook. And the bill took a while in the morning too. Overall three stars, they probably won't kill you, if there's an alternative, take it. read more

Had a beef sandwich. It was loaded with delicious beef,probably the best beef sandwich I've ever had. Delicious.

I thought this was a great little spot right in the middle of the main intersection in Ohiopyle. I had fun with the staff, a good chicken sandwich and a great chocolate dessert. It was just a touch on the pricey side, but considering how far out of the way this spot is, and the fact that there is an any where else to go, I don't think it was too far out of line. Very nice place, well-maintained, very clean. I stopped in on what was probably the last beautiful Sunday afternoon in early November. You don't get to eat outside on the patio in November very often around here! Business was brisk but the service was still very very quick. If I head back to Ohiopyle next spring or summer, I will be sure to stop back in again. read more

Stay away if you have food allergies or you want to get what you ordered. Doing a recent visit we had lunch place at falls market restaurant. The first time the order was completely wrong. We took it back and the two ladies behind the counter argued with us that's not what we ordered. On the second day after getting off the trail we decide to try it again. $30 for a burger and cheesesteak. Both of us went to the counter so we could hear exactly what we ordered. Once again they got it wrong. We didn't even bother taking it back in because we didn't want to get yelled at. When we went in to order the person behind the counter was eating a cheeseburger about 8 inches from us without a mask and continue to eat it. Several staff didn't ever wear masks. read more
