I have been to yoga classes before but never an aerial yoga class! A hybrid mix of yoga with aerial hammocks? SO COOL! No matter your flexibility level or prior yoga experience, this place is good for all skill levels. The instructor explains and demonstrates things clearly. With soothing music playing, this was an experience that allows for experimenting at your own comfort level. Time flew by so fast! Phones were not allowed in the room but the instructor takes pictures (with your signed permission) and sends them to you afterwards. She even gave us chocolate strawberries at the end of the session which was such a sweet surprise!!! Laying in savasana in the hammock alone was enough for 5 stars for me. They also offer a variety of classes from barre/mat yoga, prenatal yoga, aerial yoga, and even goat yoga!!! Following my COVID-19 vaccination, I was in search of a restorative yoga practice on a Sunday…read moremorning. After some googling, I discovered Blanco Gold Yoga. There were no Sunday classes but the website had a contact form soliciting suggestions. Octavia responded to my inquiry quickly and within a couple of weeks, a restorative class was offered on Sunday mornings, along with a couple of other formats. I have been a faithful Sunday practitioner ever since. Octavia is kind, welcoming, open, and recognizes that attendees have different skills and abilities, offering options to accommodate that. A couple of weeks ago, I asked if we could add another 30 minutes to the restorative session; it's just that good, I don't want it to end. The next day she emailed me to let me know when the first 90 minute session would begin. You will not find a more responsive instructor in town. Octavia is the best and I'm so happy to have found her! Her restorative class is the perfect start to my week.
