I came to Aerial Silks on their first day in business, June 6, after following them on instagram for a while and deciding to register for a class online. I took an intro class with Brittany and she broke down the moves really well. There's only 3 silk setups in the studio, and when you're not floating around on silks, you'll work on stretching and conditioning. Brittany was fun & engaging & incredibly encouraging! I'm hooked and now enrolled with their monthly membership plan so that I can build upon those skills from the introductory class. They are located inside the Sun Stereo building in downtown, directly across from Tioga- Sequoia brewery. As far as I know, all parking is metered or in a paid garage.

The instructor, Octavia, moved from pose to pose fairly quickly but she did a great job explaining proper form, walking around the room, and noting modifications for thr various levels. I thought the class was wonderfully done. I talked to the instructor afterwards and took a flyer for prices and the schedule. It was very reasonable. Also, this studio is HUGE! There is kombucha on tap, two bathrooms, a sitting area, and a little locker area. They're open cubbies but the studio is locked during classes to safeguard your items. The actual yoga room is also large. They put little tape squares on the floor so people know where to lay their mats so everyone has the same amount of space. I docked a star because, while the store size is impressive, it wasn't clear where you should and shouldn't wear shoes. The studio didn't seem very clean for this reason. Everyone in class had dirty feet from walking around barefoot where people had been wearing shoes before. The communal mats were free to use, but they were all light green Lululemon branded and you could see every smudge of dirt on them so it wasn't particularly inviting. Def recommend coming with your own mat.

I definitely like the option to schedule classes online and on the app. The yoga classes prices were accurate for the area. Once arrived we found parking availability. We were greeted as soon we walked inside and had a walk through of the yoga studios. We appreciate it about all of the time and introduced herself to me and my special needs child as this was our first time in this yoga studio session. The beginner class was awesome and Allison the instructor did an excellent job going step by step during the class. My child had an amazing time at beginner yoga class at Old Town Yoga.
