I checked google for a notary since UPS said theirs is only available from 8:30-10:30am and another location I called said their notary would be available in "a month". What the heck is going on SF?!!! Anyhow I needed a copy of a birth record and my request had to be notarized so I had to get this essential service done fast. This location wasn't too far away and was available so off I went. The notary was fast and efficient and that's really all I needed but she was a bit impersonal and was on the phone the whole time I was there. A bit off putting but it's whatever. I needed the service I got done and in a timely manner. They accepted cash as well as other payment methods. I'd recommend if anyone needed quick service but don't expect a smile lol. She was very nice over the phone so that was worth half a star. read more

First time doing a notary so i had no idea what was bouta go down. Called and made an appt for 11am and arrived promptly at some residential house. Was immediately buzzed in and sat down in what looks like an organized study room but professionally set up. Ruth was very professional in explaining the process and the interactions were very smooth. It was only $10 per document verification which is pretty affordable. Ruth was available for same day appointment and didn't have a problem notarizing my stuff 30 minutes after calling in. She's very nice and convenient to UCSF now that Everyday Errands has shut down on campus. Conveniently located next to school and only a few blocks west in case you need to run here in between class or during lunch. I'd recommend scheduling an appointment just so you don't have to wait at all. Oh and she runs a B&B that's actually really affordable! Needed to get some docs signed. I almost bit the bullet to get a mobile notary. Thankfully, my husband did some research and found Ruth, who is conveniently open on Sundays. I came here for notary public services several months ago. I hadn't written a review because I wanted to ensure everything that I had prepared had gone through to Sacramento. Well, my materials finally went through and it couldn't have been done without Ruth's help/certification. So, now I am comfortable to review Ruth's service: Wonderful, very informative, makes you comfortable, and the service was cheap: $10/page. I would certainly go to her again if I need notary public services again. By the way, per another reviewer, she does many things, one of which is manage a bed and breakfast place. She answered the phone right away, had several appt times available, was flexible when we arrived a bit early and was super organized and efficient. Ruth Moffatt basically didn't follow through on the agreement we made on the phone to witness the signing of my will for $20. I found Ruth on Google since she was in my neighborhood. I needed two witnesses to observe me sign my will and thought a notary public would be a good person to approach for this. (She said I could get anybody to do this including co-workers or neighbors. But who wants to bring their will to work and ask co-workers!) She agreed on the phone that she and her husband would serve as witnesses for $20. I agreed to this but we were having some difficulties coordinating an appointment for later that day. As we talked, another call came in for her so I let her take that call. I followed up and left messages on 2 different days since we spoke about my interest in having her witness my will. But she has not returned my messages. Nor does her answering machine give any indication that she is away. It's been 5 days since we last spoke. This is frustrating. I will be looking for a different notary public. read more

Per a beaming recommendation from a social worker, I google'd Ruth Moffatt online, called her up and stumbled upon her (literally) since she was on her way to my workplace. I was in need of a notary public to sign off some papers that I own a security lockbox containing top notch and sensitive information. We made arrangements to meet by Panda Express, and my letters were signed off at $10/signature. She's friendly, professional, efficient, and fast... like a ninja. The "Free Travel to UCSF - Parnassus Ave" is a lie despite what it says here: "http://www.innersunsetnotary.com/inner-sunset-notary-94122-parental-permission-to-travel.html (which I expect may be changed soon) First, when I called I was told it would be $10.50 and not $10 which sound fine to me. I was told that this was because of paypal fees. Again, I was fine with that. When I called to pay, I was told that there is a $30 fee to go to UCSF and that Ruth retired. A lady by the name of Priti Parikh who was the person who answered the calls I had made all along insisted she had no responsibility for what was on the website.Mind you, Ms. Parikh was the one who quoted me $10.50. Next, I was told $15 because the notary board mandates $15 minimum. When I expressed dismay at that business practice , I was insulted on the phone. I am not sure this person should be allowed to have a license to notarize documents or any other business. read more
