Such lovely service! The place is very large and clean, with a basic set up. It's in a small shopping plaza next to a 5 Guys, but upstairs so you gotta find the door. They offer hair and skin services and I asked about manis and pedis which they said they do but maybe it's in a different room because I didn't see any chairs for it. Last Friday I had a root touchup and lowlights. I went over the root formula due to 2 prior botched root touch ups which were expertly corrected by Miss Dawn and Miss Kim. When I got home, I noticed the roots were the same color as the lowlights. I called yesterday to see if they could correct the mistake. It is in no way my fault that the color was mixed incorrectly any of the times. Mo was condescending, acting like it was my fault, asking me if I watched her or if I mixed the color--not my job. I kept trying to explain, but he interrupted. He mocked my midwestern pronunciation of "roots." Childish and petty. He told me I have a problem every time I come. I've been there maybe 24-36 times, and this is the 3rd mistake, far from every time. He hung up on me and blocked my number. After posting 2 reviews Valerie called to say they would correct if I removed reviews, and stupidly I did. Valerie claimed they can't block calls, but they did. After I thought about it yesterday, I dedided that a business that employs Mo, a rude, condescending, petty unprofessional doesn't deserve my business or yours. read more

I found this place on Groupon (although you most certainly don't need it with how discounted the services are)! Isa was professional, diligent and gave me exactly what I wanted! My hair felt so healthy, shiny and bouncy after my experience here. All of the students are supervised closely by the instructors so I never felt worried; everyone here is very confident in their skill set and knowledgeable. Best facial and so relaxing! Megan did an amazing job! She diagnosed my skin and recommended the best way to treat my issues. She suggested a wet Microderm which was new to me. I absolutely loved it! It felt cooling and clean. The gentle massage was so relaxing, the use of warm towels and hot stones really made my day! My skin is glowing, feels so clean and soft. I came to this place once back when it was the Paul Mitchell school and came again a few months ago for a haircut. I had the first time slot of the day (I think it was 8:30) and arrived on time. I proceeded to sit on a bench for 30 minutes while they had a team meeting nearby. I have no idea why they would schedule an appointment when they are not taking clients at that time. The stylist did a good job shampooing and using the leave-in conditioner treatment. The instructor ended up doing most of the haircut with the stylist learning as they went. My haircut was okay- not exactly what I asked for, but not bad. Something that I found unprofessional was that other stylists who were not working with clients were just hanging out on their cell phones. I get that this is a beauty school, but to me that means that stylists are either spending time in the classroom learning or practicing in the salon. While the price is great, I probably will not be back. read more

The first time I had a great experience but was told to come back for a lightening which I did 3 weeks later. my hair is destroyed it is falling out in clumps. I am in tears and have no idea what I am going To do! i originally went to save Money and in the end I am going to be out hundreds on wigs and extensions. my healthy thick hair is now gone read more

I love getting my hair done at his school, you are worked on by the student and the teacher is always there to assist the student. The student always Checks in with the teacher so I feel confident getting my hair done there it's convenient clean and the people are always nice. This is my fourth visit to their salon. I walked out of there with the best cut and best color I've received in the best salons. Tiffany who colored my hair took her time helped me and my color choices was personable and gave me exactly what I wanted. G, the instructor did my haircut. He was absolutely incredible, a true Craftsman with the scissors. I walked out very happy. I got to my car and looked at my bangs and decided they needed to be shorter. I walked back in and everyone was at lunch he stopped what he was doing put me in a chair and took his time making sure I had the bangs I wanted. I can't thank them enough. While I Know Tiffany will graduate and I will certainly follow her for color I will be back with the hopes that G will be there to help guide another budding hairdresser's craft. I keep going back because they have pride in their work and this was an A+ home run. Thank you for making me feel like a million dollars when I walked out of there okay. I went to this place 4 times. I am a 70 year old guy looking for a regular executive style haircut, doesn't seem like that is too hard. First time was OK. Second time, the student left me with what he called a high fade, I looked like an emo teenager. Third time, the student took forever and I wound up with a choppy cut with numerous shelves in my hair. There is never a supervisor around to oversee the students work. Fourth time sealed the deal. I made an appt for a Wednesday night, the girl making the appointment said Wednesday is the only day they would have barbers there until next week. So I go on Wednesday, only to be told they have no barbers, the girl was wrong and the barbers are only there on Thursday, so I book Thursday, the next day. I go on Thursday only to find the entire place locked up with no lights on and no one answering the phone. Never got a call cancelling my appointment, I wasted two trips and no haircut. Like a previous reviewer Allison said "Something that I found unprofessional was that other stylists who were not working with clients were just hanging out on their cell phones. I get that this is a beauty school, but to me that means that stylists are either spending time in the classroom learning or practicing in the salon." She is 100% correct, it looks more like a place for young folks to hang out than learn. Not going back and will not recommend them to anyone. read more

I had the pleasure of having my hair done by Sol last week for a wedding. The salon in Ewing was a wonderful surprise behind its inconspicuous sign. It was bright, modern & comfortable. The staff was accommodating, polite and friendly. They were able to advise me on where to get cash back (for a well deserved tip!!!) as well as answer my questions about my stylist. I had a partial hi lights, shampoo & blow-dry I had purchased on Groupon. While the salon has restrictive hours it's important to remember it's a school, however it is well worth a weekday morning off. Sol was attentive and responsive to my requests. I was offered a beverage more than once and felt very relaxed. My hi lights took a few hours as I have thick, long hair. I haven't gotten light hi lights in a few years and Sol exceeded my expectations. The shampoo and blow dry was impeccably done and I wanna so relaxed! Some light, natural color brightened my face and I left feeling like a million bucks. I will for sure be returning to this great location! Any luxury salon would be lucky to have a stylist like Sol!!! read more
