However, there is discomfort and tinnitus which I wanted to see if could be addressed. This is where the institute lost my confidence and recommendation. Their follow-up process is horrible. I was called a number of times by a automated message system to schedule, but it won't put you through to anyone - you have to login to their portal and schedule. Once I was able to hack through the scheduling nonsense, I was planned to see Dr. Hong in a specific location, and when I arrive the location was dark, and no one home. I'm 100% positive I planned the visit at this location, as it was a 10-minute drive for me vs 1-2 hours. I was specific about it. I was told this was not the case. Again - after dealing with their automated nonsense to talk to a human, many of their staff were rude, and un-empathetic. I was understandably irritated, and the staff doubled down. I just received a letter of refusal to treat, which is fine - as I wouldn't get paid to go back there but shows their real colors to just cut you off, and leave you deaf if you get irritated, they made you arrange time off work, have a terrible teleprompt system to contact, and told you the wrong location for your appointment.

Dr. Daniel Rontal, MD failed to give the testing facility my insurance information, and ordered the…read morewrong test. He was supposed to be testing for bacterial meningitis, and any other potential bacterial infections. Which are known to cause my (potential) sepsis. However because of his screw up he put me on the receiving end of a $90 bill for a viral infection test that wasn't supposed to be ordered that had also (obviously) came back negative. Thankfully I was able to call Trinity Health & rectify the bill. They back charged my insurance so I would not have to pay. Plus the heartburn medication Dr. Rontal put me on (when I don't have heartburn) has not worked at all. Going in for a follow-up on Wednesday. If we can't get this bacterial meningitis test done by the end of the appointment then I will have to call Geoffrey Fieger. Medical malpractice is not a joke. UPDATE: Dr. Rontal lost my insurance information, and the follow up was just him refusing service to me after he failed to order the test we agreed upon.
