The whole team made the buying process comfortable--no pressure and very well organized. A special thank you to Marissa, who helped tag all our items and made sure everything was ready for pickup when our moving truck arrived (on two separate days!). Venzor and their employees stood out to me immediately! They were all so kind and helpful. I could have honest and fair conversations about prices without being ridiculed or snapped at. I always walked away from their sales feeling like I purchased some great things for a fair price. I never really thought about writing a review until the last 2 Days. My wife and I spent hours at their sale in Hermosa and had a blast! The ladies working there were an amazing. They were all working so hard and being so incredibly kind and helpful. We laughed and enjoyed the digging and left with a huge pile of treasure. This is one of the most unprofessional companies I have encountered in a long while. I shop estate…read moresales not only in California but all around the country. I attended one of this company's sales today in Belmont Shore. They listed a start time of 8am. As we do, most of the professional resellers were there before sunrise to put names on the list. This list was supposed to be out at 6am. This is done to have first purchase opportunity for desirable inventory. No one from this company arrived up until about 6:45. Fortunately the early birds collectively agreed to start a list of our own, which the company did agree to honor. They said that they do not start their sales until 9am and that their ad for the sale was incorrect. They said they needed time to set up before they opened the doors. This frankly should have only taken 10 or 15 minutes had they properly prepped this sale prior to the opening of the sale. They were not overly apologetic, just matter of fact about this oversight. This is a disrespectful of their shoppers time. I understand their first priority is to the client. However, they would do a better job for their client if they were organized, on time, and prepared with some idea and knowledge of pricing. They have you bundle your items then give you a "bundle" price. The "bundle" price model is fine if the price is fair to both parties. The "bundle" price should not be higher than retail pricing. I saw so many people leave things behind because the prices quoted were not fair market value. This is a disservice to their client. Had they priced fairly on day one, they would likely have moved more inventory rather then having to subsequently discount it well below fair market value on the subsequent sales days. Again - not good for their client. Also worth mentioning is they let one of their regular shoppers in about 10 minutes early before the sale started to shop. I understand companies rewarding their most loyal customers by letting them shop presale. But arrange to do that the day prior, not the morning of the sale when others arrived significantly earlier than their VIP customer. I guarantee you that their VIP did not pay up for the items she was allowed to purchase before the sale opened. Not fair to the customers who arrived earlier than this customer, or more importantly to the client. There are literally a million estate sales companies out there. If you are searching for a company to host your estate sale - you'd probably be better served by contracting with a more professional company that understands appraisal and how to balance and maximize the sales experience for both the client and the shopper.
